More about Gloomtail
Games: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

So, what kind of pet should you get for a dark queen with the intent and ability to destroy the world?  Oh, how about a 40-foot tall, poison-spewing, vengeful dragon?  Yeah, that sounds about right.  Gloomtail was none too pleased to find out that Mario bumped off his sister Hooktail, explaining why he hadn't got any letters from her for a while.  Wait, so mail service runs through the sealed Thousand-Year Door?  Yeah, explain that.  Gloomtail brought an unexpected challenge in the middle of the Palace of Shadow, but in the end he was defeated and coughed up the star key needed to activate the mystery tower.

Gloomtail hasn't had the success in Roy's Sports Hall that you'd expect of a giant dragon.  He was practically handed a win in a crushing defeat over the miniscule Microgoomba in Season Nine, but couldn't get out of his own way in losing to Eerie the following week.  In Round Two Gloomtail got a rematch against Eerie and this time he annilhilated his ghostly rival - only to be roasted by additional combatant Chef Torte and eliminated from the season.
