Last chapter,
a Tweester caused the Koopalings to separate, Morton got the wand, Shadow
Mario swallowed a wand, and Kammy and Kamek were gonna create more
potions for the army. Oh yeah, and Bowser still didn't get his cookie for
obvious reasons...
CHAPTER 6: WATER LAND
Ludwig had landed in Water Land. Of course, if you've read last chapter, he fainted. Ludwig floats, face first, in the water. He is still alive because Koopas can breathe in water. A Koopa Troopa sees Ludwig and walks over to him. The Koopa Troopa has a red shell and lazy eyes. He wears a helmet with one spike on the top. He doesn't look like the brightest Troopa out there. The Troopa picks up a stick that is laying on the ground. He pokes Ludwig, wondering if he's alive or dead. After being poked about a trillion times, Ludwig finally wakes up. Ludwig flips over in the water and sees the red-shelled Koopa Troopa.
Ludwig: Where am I, who am I, and who are you?
Koopa Troopa: Hi there! Well, you're in Water Land! Land of water! Yeah... Ehh... You... I dunno. Well, my name is Neo the Troopa. I live in Pipe Land, and I came here for vacation. So well, um... Hi... again.
Ludwig: How did I get into Water Land? I don't even know what I am!
Ludwig begins to panic.
Neo: I dunno. I think I remember you swimming. Then you fainted. Then I poked you with this little stick I found.
Ludwig suddenly remembers something.
Ludwig: I... I... I remember a Tweester.
Neo: A Tweester? Maybe it coulda been a whirlpool there in the water... there.
Neo looks off and squints. He spots some sort of disturbance in the water.
Neo: Like that! Wait, no, that's just a fish.
Ludwig: You don't seem very bright.
Neo scratches his head.
Neo: Say what? Bright?
Ludwig: Ya heard me!
Neo: So... I'm supposed to be bright or something? Is my shell not shiny enough for you or something?
Ludwig looks at Neo's shell. It sparkles.
Ludwig: Yeah. It's too shiny for me. I'm not royal or anything.
Neo: Oh, you aren't royalty? I thought you were that guy Ludwig for a while, but now that I know you aren't, I guess I can scratch that guess.
Ludwig suddenly remembers something else.
Ludwig: There were tomatoes. Someone was throwing them at my house. That's all I can remember besides the Tweesters.
Neo: What color were the tomatoes? Were they red? Red is my favorite color, you know.
Ludwig: Yeah. Aren't all tomatoes red? Really. Are they?
Neo: Umm... Is this a trick question?
Neo continues to ponder his thought for a minute, then turns to Ludwig.
Neo: What brings you here anyways?
Ludwig: I don't know. I can't really remember anything except those two things I told ya. I'm gonna need help with this. Will you be my partner?
Ludwig gets down on his hands and knees in a begging position. His eyes get big. He begins to look a little cute. Neo removes his helmet and scratches his head.
Neo: Yeah, sure! I haven't had a partner since my days in the Koopa Troop.
Ludwig: THANK YOU!!!
Ludwig begins to hug Neo.
Neo: AHHH!!! Personal space!
Neo tries to pry Ludwig off. He pulls out a crowbar and tries to wedge it between them.
Neo: Uhh... We're
still doing this, I see...
ICE LAND
Bowser Jr. has now managed to slide into Vanilla Dome. (Yes. He was in Ice Land). Bowser Jr. gets up and looks around.
Bowser Jr: Now where are those payphones?
Bowser Jr. looks around, but doesn't find anything.
Bowser Jr: There's only one thing left to do.
Bowser Jr. pulls out a potato and starts sucking on it.
Bowser Jr: Potatoes are good. I'll just wait for an answer to come and find me.
Ice Snifit: I found you!
Bowser Jr. Wow. That was quick!
Ice Snifit: My name is Sara. Sara Snow Snifit.
Bowser Jr: And my name is Bowser Jr.
Sara: What brings you to Vanilla Dome?
Bowser Jr: The fact that I've been separated from my brothers and sister by a Tweester while I was in Desert Land.
Sara: Poor you.
Bowser Jr: Shouldn't you be attacking Kastle Koopa?
Sara: No. I almost did, but it was by force. I fainted, and pretended to be dead when I came to. I ran away deciding to help the Koopa Troop.
Bowser Jr: Can you *gulp* help me?
Sara: Sure. I'll be your partner!
Bowser Jr: Okay.
GIANT LAND
Wendy (who is in Giant Land, of course) sits with Chuck.
Wendy: So I'll tell you the story again.
Chuck: You didn't tell me the story when I asked four hours ago...
Wendy: All right. My brothers and I have to get the wands of the nine lands. We got the wand of Grass Land, but I'm not sure about the wand of Desert Land. We were walking to the heart of Desert Land when a Tweester came and blew us all in separate directions. Now I have to find them again so we can continue our adventure.
Chuck: I'll stick with you until you find your brothers.
Wendy: Thanks,
Chuck.
SKY LAND (Lemmy landed here!)
Lemmy is seen running away from a hoard of angry Spinies.
Lemmy: BAD SPINIES!!!
Spinies: KILL DISTURBANCE!!!
A Lakitu appears and throws things at the Spinies. The Spinies retreat.
Lakitu: Good Spinies! Yee-haw!
Lemmy: Thanks... um... Who are you?
Lakitu: Why, I'm a Spiny farmer. I live on a Spiny farm and I care for them! YEE-HAW!!!
Lemmy: I'm sorta lost. Can you help me get back to Desert Land?
Lakitu: Where's Desert Land? I've only heard of it in myths. I heard sand is everywhere. There are Tweesters, monsters, and mummies! There was also a gang of Pokeys. At least that's what I heard.
Lemmy: It's all true! I was blown here by a Tweester! Have you seen the other Koopalings fly by?
Lakitu: Nope. I haven't seen any Koopalingers.
Lemmy: You mean Koopalings.
Lakitu: Yeah. Koopalingers.
Lemmy: *sigh* Will you at least help me get to the ground?
Lakitu: I dunno. I've never been so close to the ground in my life. I should stay up here so my Spinies don't start another stampede.
Lemmy: Will you show me around Sky Land, then?
Lakitu: Hmm... Sure! Why not?
Lemmy: So... what's your name?
Lakitu: Billy-Bob.
Lemmy: I'm Lemmy. How about I just call you Billy?
Billy-Bob: Ok.
DARK LAND (Iggy landed here!)
Iggy: So, have you found the castle layout yet, Rust?
Rust: No. It's unidentified. Keep looking yourself. I'll keep trying.
Iggy: You really aren't helping. I should just find the giftshop.
Hours later....
Iggy: I found the giftshop!
Iggy runs to a counter with many power-ups sitting on it. Iggy touches a Mushroom. It disintegrates.
Iggy: I should make sure that they all don't do that.
Iggy touches everything, all of it disintegrates except for a few escape ropes. Iggy uses them and magically appears outside the castle.
Iggy: Wow, that helped.
Rust: I just remembered. I had a teleport system!
Iggy kicks Rust. Rust flies into another Kastle Koopa and shuts down.
Iggy: Oh no. What have I done? I'm all...
Iggy looks at Rust, who is lying on the ground.
Iggy: ... Alone.
TWILIGHT LAND (Where Larry landed, not Grass Land!)
Larry: So dark. So scary. So stupid.
Larry wonders around Twilight Land for a couple hours. He walks back towards Bowser Jr's Castle.
Larry: I guess I'll go in. Maybe someone's home.
Larry pushes open the door. It's dark. Larry trips over a few things before finding the light switch. Larry sees pictures of Peach everywhere.
Larry: Bowser Jr. is as obsessed with Peach as King Dad! Like father, like youngest son.
Larry finds a phone.
Larry: Ok... What's Rust's number? Was it 85848488584 or 85848488585?
Larry dials the numbers, but gets a busy signal both times.
Larry: Something is terribly wrong. I have to get to my siblings before something worse happens.
Larry runs out
of the castle. He heads towards a beam of sunshine. It is faint, but it
is in fact sunshine. As Larry runs, he thinks "I hope everyone is all right.
I have to hurry. The Koopa Kingdom depends on us!"
DESERT LAND (Of course, Morton landed here!)
Morton: Ok. I defeated the Pokeinators, got the wand, and became stronger. How do I get out of this Piranha Pokey?
Morton suddenly has a flashback to M&L: Partners in Time.
Morton: Oh yeah. I have to go down!
Morton walks for a half hour.
Morton: Now where am I?
He looks around and sees the large intestine.
Morton: This better be the right way.
Morton begins to smell something. It smells mild at first, but then becomes more awful each step he takes. The smell becomes so strong, Morton passes out.
4 hours later....
Morton wakes up. He's no longer in the Piranha Pokey any more. He's floating on a rock platform. The rock quickly falls onto the Piranha Pokey and kills it. Morton gets off.
Morton: I wonder how I got out. I sorta know, so never mind. I don't think I was on a rock anyway.
Morton heads towards
the beginning of the old Mario Kart course.
PIPE LAND (Roy landed here!)
Roy: Great. I could ask a Shy Guy for directions. The one that came out of the pipe better cough them up or else!
The Shy Guy from before appears.
Shyguy: I'm Shylor. I'll only help if you don't kick my house anymore. Promise?
Roy: *sigh* I promise.
Shylor: Follow me. You need to know which color pipe is which. Green pipes take you places, red pipes are used for houses, yellow pipes are other buildings or offices. They are also stores. This pipe over here has a big cover on it. It has been said that a powerful item is in it. Only the right person can open it.
Shylor points to a rainbow-colored pipe.
Roy: Can you pair up with me? You could meet this land's ruler. Anyway, I'm Roy, so fear me!
Roy flexes his muscles.
Shylor: Whatever.
SHADOW MARIO'S HIDEOUT
Shadow Mario wakes up and looks around. He's in his room, in bed. He sees his bag on a chair. On a small table, there is a plate of cookies and a glass of milk.
Shadow Mario: Why am I still here? I need to find the wands. I need to find them now.
Shadow Mario gets up, grabs his bag, and jumps out the window. He lands perfectly on both feet and turns to his hideout.
Shadow Mario: Goodbye, everyone! I'll be back someday!
Shadow Mario gives a salute before turning to Kastle Koopa. He begins walking, but gets tired and paints a portal to Dark Land. In Dark Land, Shadow Mario comes out of the portal. He begins walking towards an older version of Kastle Koopa hoping to find Wand #1. He suddenly hears a sound. It sounds like someone is approaching him. Shadow Mario quickly turns around to see Iggy holding Rust.
Shadow Mario: You'd better get outta here, Koopa!
Iggy: But my name is Iggy.
Shadow Mario: And all of the Koopa Clan shall die!
Iggy: NEVER!!!
Shadow Mario and Iggy both jump in the air.
Shadow Mario: PAINT TRAP!
Shadow Mario spins quickly. Big globs of paint wrap around Iggy and hold him tight. Iggy falls to the ground and squirms for a while. Iggy finally gives up and lies still.
Iggy: What do you want?
Shadow Mario: First of all, this.
Shadow Mario picks up Rust, who had fallen out of Iggy's grasp.
Shadow Mario: And secondly, I want you all to die! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Iggy: NEVER! My siblings will stop you!
Shadow Mario: The only time YOU would win is when you get stronger. That won't even happen while you're alive! HAHA!!!
Shadow Mario picks up Iggy and grabs his throat.
Shadow Mario: If I grabbed harder, I would've choked you, but I think you might come in handy. PAINT SEAL!!!
Paint oozes from Shadow Mario's hand. It begins to cover Iggy's body.
Iggy: No! *gasp* HELP!!! *gasp* I won't let yo-
Before Iggy can finish his sentence, he is entirely covered in paint and shrunk to the size of a Mini Mushroom.
Shadow Mario:
HAHAHA!!!
KASTLE KOOPA
Back at Kastle Koopa, Kammy and Kamek are ready to make more potions.
Kamek: Ready?
Kammy: Yes.
They both begin to glow. There is a huge flash and both are on the floor. Around them are a few bottles of the potion (cherry flavored). A few hours later, Kammy and Kamek are both awake. They hand the potion out, and retry the Fakers.
Kamek: Al right! Level 11 is coming at ya!
The Fakers and Koopas get into a fight. The Koopas win and retreat.
Kamek and Kammy: YAY!!!
Kamek: Now we can fight Shadow Mario's army!
Kammy suddenly feels a strange tingle.
Kammy: Oh no. Something's wrong. It's Iggy. He's trapped.
Kamek: Can your senses say where?
Kammy: It's closeby.
Kamek: We should journey to find him!
Kammy: Let's go, Troop! You heard the Magikoopa!
All the Troopas
groan as they follow Kamek into The Valley of Bowser, AKA where all the
old Kastle Koopas are.
SKY LAND
Billy: Are you sure about this?
Lemmy: Yes.
Billy is holding Lemmy on a fishing pole over Ice Land.
Billy: Are you really sure?
Lemmy: YES!!!
Lemmy's plan is to jump into Ice Land to use the payphones in Vanilla Dome to call Iggy. He's really high up in Sky Land, though, so it would be hard to survive that landing.
Lemmy: Billy, come visit me if I survive. Thanks for helping me around Sky Land for my short stay. Goodbye!
Lemmy unhooks himself from Billy's fishing rod and spreads out his arms.
Billy: Goodbye, Lemster!
Lemmy gives one
final wave before facing the ground. He puts his arms to his sides to make
himself fall faster. His ball, which he deflated, is strapped to his back
and flapping in the wind. Lemmy quickly speeds to the ground as he closes
his eyes and waits for impact.
GIANT LAND
Wendy is riding on Chuck's back. Chuck quietly walks to the border of Dark Land and Giant Land. He quickly crosses and stops outside the Kastle Koopa Iggy is in.
Wendy: I hear something.
Voice: Now, I must find the other Koopalings! They will all die!!!
Wendy: I recognize that voice. It's Shadow Mario!
Chuck: Shadow Mario? He forced me into war! If he sees you with me, who knows what he'll do?
Wendy: I've got a plan!
Shadow Mario turns the corner to see Wendy strapped to Chuck's back.
Chuck: I have caught the evil one, Master Shadow Mario!
Shadow Mario: Excellent!
Chuck: But I'm afraid I'm having a problem keeping her still.
Wendy begins squirming and screaming.
Shadow Mario: Shut up, you little brat!
Shadow Mario walks over to Wendy.
Wendy: WATER WASHAWAY!!!
Wendy shoots a beam of water at Shadow Mario. Shadow Mario backs away, unable to overcome his weakness. The paint melts off the pod Iggy is in, and Iggy falls out.
Iggy: Wendy!
Wendy: Iggy!
Iggy: We have to defeat Shadow Mario!
Wendy: WATER WASHAWAY!!!
Iggy: GIANT UP!!!
Iggy grows into a powerful giant and steps on Shadow Mario. Shadow Mario is now squished into the dirt. Wendy sprays water on him.
Shadow Mario: (getting softer) I'll get you back! You shall payyy!!!
Iggy: Wow. That was easy.
Wendy: Only because I was here!
Iggy: Where have you been this whole time?
Wendy: Giant Land.
Chuck: That's where I'm from!
Iggy: Take me there!
Chuck: All right!
A few hours later... Chuck has just brought Iggy and Wendy into Giant Land.
Chuck: This is the closest I can get to the heart. The rest you can do on your own. Bye!
The Koopalings
give Chuck their goodbyes and continue on their quest.
PIPE LAND
Roy: I have an idea!
Shylor: What? Adventure?
Roy: Yup! CLOUD! COME TO ME!!!
A magic cloud flies down from the sky. Roy and Shylor get on.
Roy: GOING UP!!!
The cloud goes up into Sky Land.
Roy: Finally!
Shylor: So, what do we do?
Roy: Over there!
Roy points to
the part of Sky Land that is owned by the people who live on Vibe Island,
or I'll just say Giddy Sky.
WATER LAND
Neo finally gets Ludwig off of him and takes a badly needed breath. He looks back at Ludwig, completely forgetting what happened.
Neo: Where did you say we were going again?
Ludwig: I remember something about my magic powers. I have to find a wand, and I think it's in Pipe Land. I can't remember much though. It's pretty faint.
Neo: To Pipe Land, then! Come on, let's go!
Ludwig: Ok. We can take that pipe thing over. I sorta forget what it's called, though. Hmmm. I'll just call it a warp pipe!
Ludwig and Neo jump in the warp pipe and come out in Pipe Land. Neo jumps out of the pipe and looks around.
Neo: Wow. There's a lot of pipes here.
He looks around some more, gazing at all the green warp pips and the Piranha Plants jumping up and about.
Neo: So... What are we here for?
Ludwig: We gotta find that wand thingy. I just remembered it's in a rainbow-colored pipe in the heart of Pipe Land.
Neo: Rainbow-colored pipe? Well that shouldn't be too hard to find.
Neo looks off into the distance.
Neo: Nope. Not there.
He turns in another direction.
Neo: Not there either. Let's go look around.
Ludwig: That wouldn't be a good idea, since I'm standing next to it.
Ludwig points to a strange-colored pipe. It has colors identical to the aurora block in M&L:PiT.
Neo: If you can remember what color the pipe was supposed to be then why can't you remember your name?
Ludwig: I don't know. I always have trouble with names. You're Chuck, right?
Neo: Chuck? Who's Chuck? I'm Neo!
Ludwig: Oh. So how do I open this?
Ludwig stares at the pipe for a while, and then looks at Neo.
Neo: Open it? I dunno.
Neo looks at the pipe and kicks it, then jumps up and down holding his swollen foot in pain.
Ludwig: That was stupid. Maybe we can just turn this knob and it'll open. Oh yeah, and I hope there won't be a terrible monster coming.
A giant Elasto Piranha comes out of the pipe.
Ludwig: What the? How did that happen?!
Neo: Ohhh, a giant plant! Maybe I can pet it.
Ludwig: Ok. Go pet something that might bite your head off!
Neo: Yay!
Neo pets the plant and it nearly bites his head off.
Neo: Hey! That plant isn't very nice...
Ludwig: Maybe we should kill this thing.
Neo: Sounds like a plan! Wait up a second... Umm.... eh... How?
Ludwig: Maybe-
The Elasto Piranha knocks Ludwig out. Ludwig gets up a few seconds later. Neo looks at Ludwig.
Neo: Woah, you okay?
Ludwig: I'm fine. All of it just came back to me. I know why I'm here. I remember who you are, and I know how to defeat that Elasto Piranha!
Neo: Cool! Now... what's your name again?
Ludwig: Ludwig. If we are to defeat this, we need hit it on the head five times each.
Neo: Ludwig? That name kinda rings a bell. Hmmm... Well, let's get this over with.
Neo jumps on the plant five times.
Neo: Your turn.
Ludwig does what Neo did, and the Elasto Piranha explodes. The colorful pipe opens up in the ground. Ludwig and Neo jump in.
Neo: Wow. Colorful.
Ludwig sees a glowing wand, the wand of Pipe Land, and runs to it. He grabs it. A big flash lights up the pipe and creates a dazzling rainbow. Ludwig feels the energy inside the wand making him stronger.
Ludwig: I... GOT IT!!!
Ludwig gives a thumbs up to Neo.
Neo: Shiiinnyyy...
Neo shakes his head and snaps out of his trance. He returns the gesture to Ludwig.
Ludwig: YES! A few more wands to go.
Ludwig teleports
Neo and himself out of the pipe.
KASTLE KOOPA
The Koopa Troop has finally reached where Iggy was before. They see it's empty, and turn back.
Kamek: If you people allow me to, I can freeze you to keep the potion working.
Everyone agrees and allows Kamek to do so. Kammy tells Kamek that she has just sensed Ludwig finding the wand.
Kamek: Three wands down, six more to go.
Kammy: Yup.
IN GROUND LAND
Shadow Mario fell into what seems like an abandoned mine. He realizes that he's in Susan's land. He gets up, hoping a 10th wand is here.
Shadow Mario: If I find a 10th wand, I'll be having a good start.
Shadow Mario walks into Susan.
Susan: Who are you?
Shadow Mario: I'm Shadow Mario. I'm searching for the wand of this land!
Susan: There is no wand for this land, so I suggest you turn back now.
Shadow Mario: YOU LIE!!! PAINT POWER!!!
Shadow Mario sprays Susan with sticky, blue paint. Susan breaks away from it and throws sharp rocks at Shadow Mario. They hit Shadow Mario, and he flies backwards. Suddenly, his stomach growls.
Shadow Mario: Oh no... Not again!
Shadow Mario grabs
his stomach. His eyes turn white. Part of his body turns black. Dark magic
bursts from his hands. Then, he faints. Susan gets hit by the dark magic
and also faints. Shadow Mario's body strangely teleports to Giant Land.
SHADOW MARIO'S HIDEOUT
The Shadow Queen walks into Shadow Mario's room carrying a plate of cookies. She sees that Shadow Mario is gone, and screams.
Shadow Queen: SHADOW MARIO!!!
Her scream is
heard from Earth.
EARTH
Little Boy: Mommy, I just heard an evil lady scream while holding a plate of cookies.
Mommy: How many times have I told you not to make stuff up?! You're not having a birthday this year!
Little Boy: But Mommy, it's true!
Mommy turns her
head and grunts.
Will Lemmy survive the fall? Will the Shadow Queen hunt down Shadow Mario and eat him? Or let him travel? Why is there no wand in Ground Land? Will Wendy and Iggy get the wand? How many wands will Shadow Mario get? Will the Koopalings ever be reunited? And will that little boy get to celebrate his birthday this year? Find out next chapter, coming to a Lemmy's Land near you!
