Chapter 9: Paralee's Past
“Your Majesty,” Kammy said, heading toward Bowser.
“Kammy, what’s the problem?” Bowser asked.
“Seems like we have a traitor.”
“WHAT?! WHO?!”
“You’ll be surprised who. Lionel.”
“No… No, it can’t be Lionel. Not my loyal servant. How could he do this to me if I practically raised him?!” he shouted.
“You must calm yourself, King. Lionel is sixteen, just like the Magicparatroopa. I had a feeling he would let her go, so I watched him to see what he’ll do. And it seems like he’s given her a map to help her find the actual Crystals.”
“This is an outrage. LIONEL!!!” Bowser yelled.
“Y-Yes sir,” said Lionel with a nervous look on his face.
“Did you or did you not capture the Magicparatroopa?” Bowser said.
“No,” Lionel said quietly.
“Why?”
“I didn’t want her to die…”
“WHAT?! SO YOU GAVE HER THE MAP?! AND LET HER GO?! WE WEREN’T EVEN GOING TO KILL HER! WE WERE GOING TO KILL THE FATHER, MAYBE, BUT NOT HER! WE WERE GOING TO RAISE HER AS OUR OWN SO SHE CAN BE EVIL!”
“YOUR MAJESTY, I LOVE HER!!!” Lionel yelled.
Bowser stood stiff. Lionel widened his eyes, trying to hide his blush and knowing he’d made a huge mistake.
“Why did I yell that? I don’t really even love her…” Lionel thought.
“HAVE YOU LOST YOUR SENSES COMPLETELY?! SHE’S ON MARIO’S SIDE! YOU’RE ONE OF MY MINIONS! DO YOU WANT TO END UP LIKE YOUR GIRLFRIEND, OR SHOULD I SAY YOUR EX-GIRLFRIEND, SINCE YOU LOVE THE MAGICPARATROOPA SO MUCH? BRIDGETTE IS GOING TO BE IN THE DUNGEON UNTIL SHE IS TWENTY.”
“I DON’T CARE IF I END UP LIKE HER! AS LONG AS THE MAGICPARATROOPA IS FREE, I DON’T CARE!”
“GUARDS!” Bowser shouted. Lionel hung his head, knowing he’D just asked for trouble.”
“Take Lionel to the dungeon. he’s not allowed to be released until he is thirty!” Bowser demanded. Lionel widened his eyes.
“What about Paralee? I promised her I’d be there. And what about Bridgette? I won’t be able to see her until I’m thirty…” Lionel thought.
Lionel was thrown in a personal dungeon. After a few minutes Bowser came to him. “What a shame. I’ve taken care of you since you were a baby, and this is how you thank me? Disobeying me in time of need?” Then Bowser left.
Lionel sighed and hit his head against the wall. “Paralee, it’s up to you now…” he said to himself.
Meanwhile, Paralee read the map while Albino jumped up and tugged on her short skirt.
“Albino, please, not now,” she said. When she saw the place where her next Crystal was, she nearly felt like puking.
“Toad Town Sewers? You have got to be kidding me,” she said.
Albino licked Paralee’s foot. “Albino! Not now!” Paralee snapped.
“You’re in love with that Paratroopa! Don‘t worry, I‘ll save you!” Albino thought. He bit Paralee by the other ankle. Paralee screamed.
“ALBINO WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU?!” Paralee yelled at the top of her lungs. “ARE YOU STILL MAD ABOUT ME TALKING TO LIONEL?! WELL GET OVER IT, WE’RE NOT GOING TOGETHER.”
Paralee walked of while Albino whimpered. Paralee sighed. “He was only trying to protect me...” she thought.
“Come here, you, you know I can‘t stay mad at you,” Paralee said. Albino ran to Paralee. “Yes, I love you,” she said.
They went to Toad Town Sewers, where Paralee looked disgusted at the flow of sewage. Paralee found a note and read it: “Find me,” it read.
“But who?” Paralee said.
Soon a Blooper, an Electro Blooper, and a Super Blooper came up. “Oh my gosh, please, not another battle, especially something this big…” Paralee thought.

Albino spun around, making four copies
of himself. Each one bites the Electro Blooper 5 times, causing 5x5 damage.

Electro Blooper charged up, becoming electrified.

After the battle, Paralee looked like she was going to pass out, but she didn’t; she just restored her Heart Points with her magic. “Now where to go?” she said.
Soon she saw the same spotted harmless bee. It sounded like it was whispering “Follow me,” repeatedly. Paralee followed the bee, going deeper into the pipe. Soon they saw the same creature that Lemmy and Iggy saw. It was surrounded by spotted harmless bees.
“Don’t be afraid,” it said. Then Paralia came out.
“Author,” she said. Then the bee that led Paralee landed on Paralia’s finger. “You don’t like my bees?” she asked.
“Why?” Paralee asked.
“Well, back on Lavalava Island when you first saw them, you screamed at them and tried to kill them. They didn’t like it; they were only trying to help you. You also nearly killed my little Author by grabbing him so tightly,” Paralia explained.
“I thought they were real, I’m allergic to bees. And I only grabbed little Author because after I got stung it didn‘t hurt or affect me, so I wanted to see why,” Paralee said.
Paralia smiled. “It did. Thanks to Author, who stung you, you’re not allergic to them anymore… Well? They’re waiting,” said Paralia.
“I’m sorry, guys,” Paralee apologized.
“Now, tell me, did you ever find a sign of your being magical? You need to try to remember hard. Your first sign was years ago,” Paralia inquired.
Soon Paralee had a flashback of she was five. She barely had friends, she always got pushed around or pushed away, the kids said harsh things toward her, and she always ran and cried from them. And there was Parakarry, yelling and cussing the kids out until they cried. And after all of that drama, Parakarry always hugged her and whispered, “They’re just jealous, you’re unique...”
“Jealousy,” said Paralee. “Jealousy.”
“Excellent. How did it feel?” Paralia asked.
“Hurtful,” Paralee responded.
“Do you remember when your magic activated?”
Soon Paralee had a flashback to when she was nine. She remembered that now instead of the kids picking on her, they were kind of afraid of her. She touched a bush and a beautiful rose appeared. It was so attractive but the girls were afraid to get it, so she just picked it and had the rose to herself. She remembered one of the girls came up to her and asked if she could see it. That was one thing Paralee regretted, because she gave the girl a mean look and walked away.
“When I touched that bush, I made a beautiful rose. Somebody asked me if she could see it, but I walked away, because she was one of the ones that were mean to me. But I felt guilty,” she said.
Paralia nodded. “Yes, you realized you’re not cruel like them, you’re very sensitive and have such a warm heart,” she said.
Paralee held her necklace.
“When you battle Bowser and you need help, hold it. Use your magic and you’ll see a picture of me in the sky, and you’ll see my bees they’ll restore you and attack Bowser.”
