Blue Berry: Restores 3 HP and FP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Boiled Egg: Restores 8 HP and FP. Make it with an Egg and a Stinky Herb.

Bubble Berry: Restores 5 HP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Cake: Restores 15 FP. Find it in Toad Town. Make it with a Cake Mix.

Cake Mix: Restores 1 FP. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Coco Pop: Restores 3 HP and 15 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Coconut.

Deluxe Feast: Restores 40 HP and FP. Make it with a Strange Leaf and a Whacka's Bump.

Dried Fruit: Restores 15 HP. Randomly dropped after battles in Dry Dry Desert.

Dried Pasta: Restores 3 HP and 2 FP. Buy it in Dry Dry Outpost.

Dried Shroom: Restores 1 HP. Buy it in Dry Dry Outpost for two coins. Find it in Koopa Village. Get it from Black Lil Oinks.

Egg: Restores 5 HP. Find it in Mt. Rugged or Jade Jungle.

Electro Pop: Restores 15 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Volt Shroom.

Fire Pop: Restores 1 HP and 20 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Fire Flower.

Fried Shroom: Restores 6 HP and 2 FP. Make it from a Mushroom.

Frozen Fries: Restores 15 HP. Make it with a Fire Flower and an Iced Potato.

Goomnut: Restores 3 FP. Find it in Goomba Village.

Healthy Juice: Restores 40 FP. Make it with a Dried Shroom and a Special Shake.

Honey Candy: Restores 20 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Honey Syrup.

Honey Shroom: Restores 5 HP and FP. Make it with a Honey Syrup and a Mushroom.

Honey Super: Restores 10 HP and 5 FP. Make it with a Honey Syrup and a Super Shroom.

Honey Syrup: Restores 5 FP. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for ten coins, Koopa Village for eight coins, Dry Dry Outpost for five coins, or Yoshi Village for six coins. Find it in Pleasant Path, Mt. Rugged, or Dry Dry Desert.

Honey Ultra: Restores 50 HP and 5 FP. Make it with a Honey Syrup and an Ultra Shroom.

Iced Potato: Restores 5 HP. Find it in Shiver City.

Jammin' Jelly: Restores 50 FP. Find it in Peach's Castle, Jade Jungle, Flower Fields, Crystal Palace, or Bowser's Castle. Get it from Silver Lil Oinks.

Jelly Pop: Restores 64 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Jammin' Jelly.

Jelly Super: Restores 10 HP and 50 FP. Make it with a Jammin' Jelly and a Super Shroom.

Jelly Ultra: Restores 50 HP and FP. Make it with a Jammin' Jelly and an Ultra Shroom.

Kooky Cookie: Restores 15 FP. Also randomly causes Mario to fall asleep, become electrified, or turn transparent. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Koopa Leaf.

Koopa Leaf: Restores 3 FP. Find it in Koopa Village.

Koopa Tea: Restores 7 FP. Make it with a Koopa Leaf.

Koopasta: Restores 7 HP and FP. Make it with a Dried Pasta and a Koopa Leaf.

Lemon: Restores 1 HP and 2 FP. Sought by Moustafa. Find it in Dry Dry Desert.

Lemon Candy: Restores 5 HP and 15 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Lemon.

Life Shroom: Recovers Mario to 10 HP if he is knocked out. Try to have one on you at all times, as it essentially raises your max HP by 10. Buy it in Boo's Mansion for fifty coins, Shiver City for fourty coins, or Star Haven for twenty-five coins. Find it in Dry Dry Desert, Mt. Lavalava, Toad Town Tunnels, Bowser's Castle, or Peach's Castle. Make it with a Volt Shroom and a Koopa Leaf. Get it from Pink Lil Oinks.

Lime: Restores 3 FP. Find it in Dry Dry Desert.

Lime Candy: Restores 20 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Lime.

Maple Super: Restores 10 HP and FP. Find it in Dry Dry Desert. Make it with a Super Shroom and a Maple Syrup.

Maple Syrup: Restores 10 FP. Buy it in Boo's Mansion for twenty-five coins, Shiver City for twenty coins, Star Haven for ten coins, or Bowser's Castle for thirty coins. Find it in Koopa Bros. Fortress, Toad Town, Boo's Mansion, Tubba Blubba's Castle, Shy Guy's Toy Box, Mt. Lavalava, Flower Fields, Toad Town Tunnels, Crystal Palace, or Bowser's Castle. Get it from Yellow Lil Oinks.

Melon: Restores 15 FP. Find it in Yoshi Village.

Mistake: Restores 1 HP and FP. Product of items that Tayce T. can't make good food out of.

Mushroom: Restores 5 HP. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for five coins, Koopa Village for four coins, or Dry Dry Outpost for three coins. Find it in Jr. Troopa's Playground, Goomba Road, Mt. Rugged, Dry Dry Desert, Shy Guy's Toy Box, Jade Jungle, or Shiver City.

Nutty Cake: Restores 10 FP. Make it from a Goomnut.

Potato Salad: Restores 10 HP. Make it with an Iced Potato.

Red Berry: Restores 5 HP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Scrambled Egg: Restores 10 HP. Make it from an Egg.

Shroom Cake: Restores 10 HP and FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Mushroom.

Shroom Steak: Restores 8 HP and FP. Make it with a Life Shroom and a Super Shroom.

Special Shake: Restores 30 HP and 10 FP. Make it with a Melon.

Stinky Herb: Restores 5 FP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Strange Leaf: Restores 5 HP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Super Shroom: Restores 10 HP. Buy it in Toad Town (second shop) for ten coins, Boo's Mansion for thirteen coins, Yoshi Village for fifteen coins, Shiver City for twenty coins, Star Haven for ten coins, or Bowser's Castle for thirty coins. Find it in Goomba Road, Toad Town Tunnels, Dry Dry Desert, Boo's Mansion, Gusty Gulch, Shy Guy's Toy Box, Mt. Lavalava, Crystal Palace, or Bowser's Castle.

Super Soda: Cures status ailments and restores 5 FP. Buy it in Star Haven for three coins. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box. Make it with a Honey Syrup, a Maple Syrup, or an Apple.

Sweet Shroom: Restores 30 HP and 20 FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Life Shroom.

Tasty Meal: Restores 20 HP and FP. Find it in Toad Town.

Tasty Tonic: Cures poison and shrink status effects. Buy it in Toad Town (second shop) for five coins or Yoshi Village for two coins. Find it in Dry Dry Desert or Bowser's Castle. Make it with a Lemon, a Lime, or an Apple and a Honey Syrup.

Ultra Shroom: Restores 50 HP. Find it in Shiver Mountain, Shiver City, Bowser's Castle, or Peach's Castle. Get it from Gold Lil Oinks.

Whacka's Bump: Restores 25 HP and FP. Great for emergencies, but limited. Find it in Mt. Rugged.

Yellow Berry: Restores 3 HP and FP. Find it in Flower Fields.

Yoshi Cookie: Restores 15 HP and FP. Make it with a Cake Mix and a Melon.

Battle Items

The following items help Mario attack or defend in battle.

Coconut: Throw this at an enemy to cause damage. Find it in Jade Jungle or Yoshi Village.

Dizzy Dial: Confuses enemies if it works. Buy it in Koopa Village for ten coins, Toad Town (second shop) for fifteen coins, or Shiver City for fifteen coins. Find it in Gusty Gulch, Shy Guy's Toy Box, Toad Town, Flower Fields, or Bowser's Castle.

Dusty Hammer: Throw it at an enemy for light damage. Buy it in Dry Dry Outpost for two coins.

Fire Flower: Causes 3 HP to all enemies. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for ten coins, Koopa Village for eight coins, or Yoshi Village for five coins. Find it in Jr. Troopa's Playground, Pleasant Path, Dry Dry Desert, Shy Guy's Toy Box, or Jade Jungle.

Fright Jar: Scares some enemies away if it works. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for five coins. Find it in Pleasant Path, Dry Dry Desert, Shy Guy's Toy Box, or Jade Jungle.

Mystery?: Randomly takes the place of any restoring or battle item. Buy it in Boo's Mansion for one coin. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box, Jade Jungle, or Bowser's Castle.

Pebble: Throw it at an enemy for light damage. Find it in Shiver Snowfield.

POW: Causes 2 HP to all enemies, and flips shelled enemies. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for five coins, or in Koopa Village for four coins. Find it in Pleasant Path, Mt. Lavalava, or Bowser's Castle.

Repel Gel: Makes Mario transparent and protects him from attacks for two rounds. Doesn't use up a second turn like Bow's Outta Site. Find it in Jr. Troopa's Playground, Gusty Gulch, or Jade Jungle. Get it from Pink Lil Oinks.

Shooting Star: Causes 6 HP to all enemies. Buy it in Shiver City for thirty coins or Star Haven for fifteen coins. Find it in Goomba Town, Shy Guy's Toy Box, Flower Fields, Peach's Castle, Toad Town Tunnels, Shiver Snowfield, Crystal Palace, or Bowser's Castle. Get it from Blue Star Lil Oinks.

Sleepy Sheep: Causes all enemies to fall asleep if it works. Buy it in Toad Town (first shop) for ten coins. Find it in Goomba Road, Pleasant Path, Mt. Rugged, or Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Snowman Doll: Causes 4 HP to all enemies. Buy it in Boo's Mansion for fifteen coins, Yoshi Village for fifteen coins, or Shiver City for eight coins. Find it in Toad Town Tunnels, Toad Town, Shy Guy's Toy Box, or Shiver Snowfield.

Stone Cap: Makes Mario unable to move for a few turns, but raises his defense. Buy it in Toad Town (second shop) for thirty coins. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box or Jade Jungle.

Stop Watch: Paralyzes all enemies if it works. Buy it in Boo's Mansion for twenty-five coins or Star Haven for fifteen coins. Find it in Dry Dry Desert, Jade Jungle, or Toad Town Tunnels.

Thunder Bolt: Causes 5 HP to an enemy. Buy it in Dry Dry Outpost for five coins or Yoshi Village for fifteen coins. Find it in Pleasant Path or Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Thunder Rage: Causes 5 HP to all enemies. Buy it in Toad Town (second shop) for twenty coins. Find it in Dry Dry Desert, Jade Jungle, Flower Fields, Shiver Snowfield or Bowser's Castle. Get it from Tiger Lil Oinks.

Volt Shroom: Causes Mario to become electrified so that most enemies that touch him take damage. Buy it in Koopa Village for fifteen coins, or in Toad Town (second shop) for ten coins. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box, Jade Jungle, or Toad Town Tunnels. Make it with a Mushroom and a Koopa Leaf.

Special Items

The following items can't be used in Field or Battle Mode, and are sometimes one of a kind. They help you complete tasks, find Star Pieces, or do who knows what else.

? Block: Contains coins, items, or Badges.

Artifact: Give this to Kolorado for a Star Piece. Found in Dry Dry Ruins.

Autograph: Koopa Koot sure asks for some strange things. Why he'd want Luigi's autograph is beyond me. Heh, "Air Luigi", he says. I suppose Merluvlee is at least a little better, but not much.

Book: To complete his first favor, you must fetch this from Kolorado for Koopa Koot.

Bucket: It's just... a bucket. Plain and simple. Find it in Shiver City.

Calculator: Rowf can't conduct business without this! I guess he can't add. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Coin: Randomly dropped after battles. Used to buy items at stores.

Cookbook: Enables Tayce T. to cook with two items. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Crystal Ball: Merluvlee won't give you her Autograph until you retrieve this for her. Her sister Merlee has it with her in Dry Dry Outpost.

Crystal Berry: So shiny, and prettier than the Water Stone. Find it in Flower Fields.

Cyclone: In Dry Dry Desert, blows Mario to another area if it catches up to him.

Diamond Stone: One of the three stones needed to unlock the passage to Tutankoopa. Found in Dry Dry Ruins.

Dictionary: Without this, Rust T.'s IQ decreases, or so he claims. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Diploma: Proves that Mario has defeated The Master at the Dojo in Toad Town three times and is the strongest fighter around... except, perhaps, for Bowser.

Dolly: Return this to Goombaria in return for a Star Piece and a kiss. Well, the former is good anyway. It's stuck in a tree in Jr. Troopa's Playground.

Duct Tape: Shuts Yakkey up so we won't wake Tubba Blubba. Find it in the secret room in Tubba Blubba's Castle. Actually, if you find it, please let me know, since I think I made it up.

Fertile Soil: It has just the right nutrients to grow a really tall plant. Find it in Flower Fields.

First-Degree Card: Shows that Mario has defeated Chan at the Dojo in Toad Town.

Flower: Restores 1 FP. Randomly dropped after battles.

Fourth-Degree Card: Shows that Mario has defeated The Master a second time at the Dojo in Toad Town.

Frying Pan: Tayce T. can't cook without this! More understandable than Rowf and his Calculator. Found in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Glasses: Of course Koopa Koot has a pair of these. They're lost, and it's oh so hard to find one's own glasses. Find it in Koopa Village.

Gold Credit: Lets you play the second game in the Playroom in Toad Town. Get it from Koopa Koot.

Hammer: Gives Mario a new mode of attack, and allows him to destroy Yellow Blocks. Hidden behind a bush in Jr. Troopa's Playground.

Heart: Restores 1 HP. Randomly dropped after battles.

Heart Block: Hitting this restores Mario's HP and FP. The heart inside grows back after a short time.

Jade Raven: Used to find Raphael the Raven. Find it in Yoshi Village.

Key: Opens a nearby door in the same area.

Kooper's Shell: Stolen by Fuzzies in Koopa Village. Retrieve it and Kooper will join Mario's party.

Letter: Parakarry has dropped these all across the Mushroom Kingdom. You find the first three in Mt. Rugged, and must return them to the mailman before he joins your party. All Letters, including the first three, should be delivered to the intended recipient, as the reward for doing so is usually a Star Piece. To deliver a Letter, speak to the recipient while Parakarry is the active party member.

Lyrics: Written for the diva Chanterelle. Find it in Toad Town.

Lucky Star: Allows use of the action command. Given to you by Twink in Shooting Star Summit.

Lunar Stone: One of the three stones needed to unlock the passage to Tutankoopa. Find it in Dry Dry Ruins.

Magical Bean: Looks like it's crying out to be planted, but Petunia begs you not to. Find it in Flower Fields.

Magical Seed: Give all four of these to Mihn T. in Toad Town to gain access to Flower Fields. Find it in Toad Town, Mt. Rugged, Forever Forest, and Yoshi Village.

Mail Bag: Shy Guys stole this from the Post Office. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Melody: Written by the Composer, give this to Chanterelle in Toad Town. Find it in Dry Dry Outpost.

Metal Block: Obstructs Mario's path. Can be destroyed with the Ultra Hammer.

Miracle Water: H2O. Somehow better than other water. Find it in Flower Fields.

Mystery Note: Written in the Shy Guys' language. Rust T. can read it. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Old Photo: It's a picture of a younger Koopa Koot, or so he claims. Find it in Boo's Mansion.

Package: Koopa Koot is awaiting this. Who knows what could be inside? Find it in Gusty Gulch.

Portrait: Needed to fill an empty frame. Find it in Boo's Mansion.

Pulse Stone: Signals the location of Dry Dry Ruins by beeping faster as you get closer. Find it in Dry Dry Outpost.

Pyramid Stone: One of the three stones needed to unlock the passage to Tutankoopa. Find it in Dry Dry Ruins.

Record: Lets you use the record player. Find it in Boo's Mansion.

Red Jar: Koopa Koot's heard of this old thing, and now he wants it. Find it in Dry Dry Outpost.

Save Block: Hitting this allows you to save your game.

Scarf: Just a regular scarf, nothing special at all. Find it in Starborn Valley.

Second-Degree Card: Shows that Mario has defeated Lee at the Dojo in Toad Town.

Silver Credit: Lets you play the first game in the Playroom in Toad Town. Get it from Koopa Koot.

Sneaky Parasol: Lets Peach take on the appearance of other characters, like, oh, the guards, maybe? Find it in Peach's Castle.

Spring: Propels Mario to a higher area if he jumps on it.

Star Piece: Used to buy Badges from Merlow near Shooting Star Summit. Usually hard to find.

Star Point: Mario receives these for winning battles. When he earns 100, he'll gain a level up. The Star Points Mario earns depends on the enemy and Mario's level. If Mario's level is too high, he won't receive any Star Points.

Star Stone: Just right for a star-shaped hole. Find it in Shiver Snowfield.

Stone Block: Obstructs Mario's path. Can be destroyed with the Super Hammer.

Storeroom Key: Return this to Harry at his shop in Toad Town to get access to his supply room. Find it in Shy Guy's Toy Box.

Super Block: Allows you to upgrade a party member to Super level. Can upgrade again to Ultra level after you earn the Ultra Stone.

Super Boots: Increases Mario's Jump power by 1 HP per jump, and allows him to pound the ground by pressing A in midair. Find it in Boo's Mansion.

Super Hammer: Increases Mario's Hammer attack by 2 HP, and allows him to destroy Stone Blocks. Find it in Dry Dry Ruins.

Switch: When hit, causes something to happen. Can be hit by Jump, Hammer, or Kooper and Bombette's Field Mode Abilities.

Tape: Koopa Koot is looking for this, and Goompa in Goomba Village has it.

Third-Degree Card: Shows that Mario has defeated The Master at the Dojo in Toad Town.

Toy Train: Becomes lifesize relative to you when dropped into Shy Guy's Toy Box. Find it in Toad Town.

Ultra Boots: Increases Mario's attack power by 1, and lets him do a tornado jump to increase jump height. Find it in Toad Town Tunnels.

Ultra Hammer: Increases Mario's Hammer power by 2, and allows him to destroy Metal Blocks. Find it in Mt. Lavalava.

Ultra Stone: Allows you to level up Super party members to Ultra level when you hit a Super Block. Find it in Jade Jungle.

Volcano Vase: The treasure of Mt. Lavalava. Know anyone who wants this? Find it in Jade Jungle.

Yakkey: Loud-mouth key guarded by Tubba Blubba that unlocks the windmill in Gusty Gulch. Find it in Tubba Blubba's Castle.

Yellow Block: Obstructs Mario's path. Can be destroyed with the Hammer.

Wallet: Lost by Koopa Koot, and wanted back! Find it in Koopa Village.

Warp Pipe: Takes Mario to a different area. Press Down while on top to enter.

Water Stone: Provides an unlimited supply of water, and is apparently the only water source. Find it in Flower Fields.

Weight: Heavy enough to replace Mario on the pulling end against a chandelier. Find it in Boo's Mansion.
