The Bad Guys

Name: Croco
Likes: Stealing, coins, shiny stuffs
Dislikes: Mario, Nimbus', and getting robbed

Croco is a dinosaur wearing a red top hat. One of his biggest mistakes was stealing from a "tadpole" who was going to pick up something for his grandfather. The tadpole joined Mario and they took back his coin. After that round, Croco decided this kid had to be a Nimbus since he could attack him with thunderbolts and
made it rain when he cried. During their second round he took all of Mario's items  halfway through the battle to make 'em lose, but failed. After a while he was seen in Nimbus Land, and then "helped" the good guys out in Bowser's Keep and got coins too.

Name: Mack
Likes: Jumping, jumping minions, Mario's jumping ability
Dislikes: Mario, Mallow, anyone who can't jump

Mack is the first major boss guarding a Star, which he found on Mushroom Way before he took over the Mushroom Kingdom. He simply LOVES jumping and hates anyone who can't jump for beans. His reasons for hating Mario and Mallow are because they defeated him and his minions and chased them away as they unknowingly claimed the first Star of Star Road.

Name: Bowyer
Likes: Shooting stuff at helpless people, being horrible for continuing to shoot Areos
Dislikes: Geno, Mario, Mallow, anyone who takes away his Aero minions

Bowyer has a name that sounds like Bowser, but he works for Smithy and is a bow that can shoot arrows. He hid deep in the Forest Maze with his Aero minions and began shooting them at the helpless people of Rose Town after one of the Stars fell into the forest. He really hates Geno for showing up and Mario and Mallow for showing up and helping Geno defeat him.

Name: Belome
Likes: Eating, Mallow and other Nimbus' because he decided they're tasty
Dislikes: Anything nasty

Belome is a freaky dog-like thing with four eyes who LOVES to eat. For a while after the disappearance of young Mallow as a baby, he was accused of eating him and would be chased out of Nimbus Land when he got to near, and for good reason too. He'd LOVE to go there and taste all the Nimbus'.

Name: Punchinello
Likes: Bob-ombs, other bombs
Dislikes: Someone annoying him, Mallow, someone saying he's bluffing when he isn't

It is uncertain whether Punchinello works for Smithy or not, since he didn't seem to be guarding a Star. He seems to live deep inside the Mole Mountain, making Bob-ombs and other bombs and setting them loose around the mine. He seems to loath Mallow quite a bit for saying he was bluffing when he was going to drop his giant bomb on them. This plan obviously backfired.

Name: Booster
Likes: The princess from the sky, beetles, toys, Snifits, kids, Valentina
Dislikes: Nothing really

Booster isn't really a bad guy. Not much is known about him except his new bride is Valentina. I guess he was laying around bored on top of his tower when the princess fell into his lap, so he dicided to make her his girlfriend. This made her upset so he locked her on top of the tower, keeping her hostage without knowing it, when he was really lonely. It looks like he hates Mario and his friends for taking her away, but he doesn't. He actually thinks they a lot of fun and wishes they'd come back to his tower again someday so they can all play.

Name: King Calimari
Likes: Treasure and sinking ships
Dislikes: Mario and his friends, Johnathan "Johnny" Jones

This is a giant squid, the king of all Bloopers. His age is unknown, and he seemed to LOVE sinking ships and stealing their treasure, that is, until he sank Johnny's ship. Johnny was smart and trapped him in the treasure room he was in. Then after a long time, Mario and his friends came and picked a fight with him. Blooper was forced to the depths of the ship, where he cowers, but will go after anyone who goes down the slightest way to the treasure room. He is feared by many, not even Professor Kolorado dares to go after THAT treasure.

Name: Johnathan "Johnny" Jones
Likes: Mario and his pals, treasure, his minions
Dislikes: King Calimari

This guy isn't really a bad guy, but he claims trasures that sank into his side of the sea and is actually a bit lonely and bored. He likes Mario and co. for showing up King Calimari at long last, and they became friends
after losing to Mario. He saw his mistakes and began to improve. He stopped Yaridovich from escaping with the Star after he stole it back from Mario atfter HE gave it to Mario.

Name: Yaridovich
Likes: Holding towns hostage, being evil
Dislikes: Water, Johnny Jones, Mario and co.

This guy held Seaside Town hostage in a shed and stole the Star Mario had won back from Johnny. The Blade was late so he couldn't escape in time and was going to swim for it when Johnny came and stopped them. Mario took back the Star and freed the town from the shed.

Name: Megasmilax
Likes: Water, Shy Aways
Dislikes: Fire

This is the giant plant boss near Nimbus Land. Valentina had ordered the plant to stop ANYONE daring to go to Nimbus Land. He is closely related to Piranha Plants, and is quite the toughy to beat without any firepower.

Name: Dodo
Likes: Nothing
Dislikes: Valentina

This... is one of the funniest bad guys in the whole game. He is weak and  stupid and follows orders from Valentina, or else. There is basically nothing  to say about him since he's quite stupid.

Name: Birdo
Likes: Living, playing, having fun, Mario and friends
Dislikes: Being in a egg, being bored

This Birdo is quite a tough boss in Nimbus Land. She is in the middle room and holds the key you need to advance. She spits out eggs like in SMB2 and spits out the key too. She likes Mario and friends because she got to "play" with them.

Name: Valentina
Likes: Being "queen", lieing, holding the real rulers hostage
Dislikes: Mallow, the real king and queen, being beaten

This is the heart of all the problems in Nimbus Land. It is now said she is DEFINITELY the cause of Mallow's disappearance so she could become queen when his parents die. After getting tired of waiting for them to die, she tricked them into going into a room, locked them in, and took over, saying the king was gravely ill. Then she fooled the Nimbus' by saying Dodo was the long-lost prince and he had made her queen, but she got foiled when the Mallow in Mario's party found out HE was the prince, and they all defeated her and released the king and queen.

Name: Axem Rangers
Likes: Each other, volcanos
Dislikes: Mario and any friends of his

These guys are real hot heads. They are Pink, Black, Red, Yellow, and Green. They're quite powerful and tough to beat. Pink heals, Black takes two turns, Green and Yellow have powerful special moves, and Red will operate the Breaker, but they can be pushovers if fought correctly. They seem to have wandered into Barrel Volcano looking for a Star Piece. No one knows if it was on accident or not.

Name: Exor
Likes: Smithy and any of his followers
Dislikes: Mario and anyone not with Smithy

This guy is the sword that flew into Bowser's Keep, and is also the Gate between 2 worlds. It is uncertain where he first came from, and he disintegrated when Smithy was beaten.

Name: Countdown/Ding-a-lings
Likes: Telling time, Smithy
Dislikes: Mario and any friends of his

This guy is a GIANT clock. Countdown is the clock itself and the Ding-a-lings are the two alarm bells. I guess his purpose is to fight and tell time for everyone in the Factory and Gate. He's a bit tough to defeat though since Countdown can do something different depending on the time.

Name: Domino
Likes: His partners
Dislikes: Mario, Mario's friends, plumbers

This guy attacked Mario and co. in the Gate with Cloaker. They were the last bosses before Smithy. If Mario defeated Cloaker, they'd have to fight Domino along with Mad Adder.

Name: Cloaker
Likes: His parners
Dislikes: Mario, ANY friend of Mario or anyone on his side

This guy attacked Mario and co. in the gate with Domino. He's stronger then Domino, but only by 300 HP. If Mario and co defeated Domino, they'd have to fight Cloaker along with Earthlink, who IS a giant snake.

Name: Smithy
Likes: Any of his followers, but doesn't totally trust them
Dislikes: Anyone in with Mario and anyone else against him

This guy is the root of all troubles in the world. He wrecked Star Road, he sent all his followers to retrive the Star Pieces, he had them cause a ton of trouble, and he was going to fill the world with nothing but weapons and take it over completely. Mario and friends defeated him and repaired the Star Road. I guess a few thanks are in order to him, since if Exor didn't hit Bowser's Keep, the Princess would've been rescued right away, Mallow might've NEVER gotten his coin back, Bowser would've thought up another plan right away, Booster would be lonely, Valentina would rule Nimbus Land forever, Mallow would never find his true family or heritage, and no one would've become friends.

The Good Guys

Name: Mario
Likes: Being a plumber, the princess, being a hero, friends of his
Dislikes: Anyone trying to take over the world

This guy is the main hero of the game (big surprise there). He was fighting Bowser to retrieve the princess and won when Exor appeared, broke Star Road, and sent them in three directions. He went to the Mushroom Kingdom and explained what happened, and had just left the castle when Mallow appeared chasing Croco. The two met and became friends. Together they got Mallow's coin back and defeated Mack, and then went to Tadpole Pond and learned some stuff about Mallow's past. Soon they went to help out Rose Town and the next thing they knew, they were ALL on another quest.

Name: Mallow
Likes: His parents, Mario, other friends, Grandpa, being a prince, making music
Dislikes: Valentina, Smithy, anyone who makes him cry, being a cry-baby

This guy is a Nimbus and the prince of all Nimbus Land. He was thrown out of the kingdom (literally) by Valentina and thought dead for ages, but Frogfucius found him (sorta) and took him in and cared for him most of his life. Then Frogfucius told him he was adopted and to go out there and find his real family, so he stayed with Mario. When he got to Nimbus Land, he saw Valentina and watched her announce "Prince Mallow" aka Dodo to everyone and was shocked to hear of a prince with the same name as him. When he saw the statue of himself in Garro, the statue maker's, house, he learned he was a prince, and they knew Valentina was lying and that the king wasn't gravely ill, so Mario and co. rescued them from Valentina and restored peace to Nimbus Land once more. Good thing too or else they wouldn't have made it into
the volcano or Bowser's Keep. He can also make music since Toadofasky taught him how to play instruments. He kept this secret from his parents until he played his cymbols. He is very sensitive, though it can be a good thing sometimes.

Name: Frogfucius
Likes: Mallow, any friend of Mallow, the tadpoles
Dislikes: Anyone who is mean, especially to Mallow

This guy adopted Mallow and raised him, telling him he was his grandpa and that Mallow was a tadpole. Then after quite a few years, he sent Mallow to the Kingdom with a Frog Coin to buy a Cricket Pie for him. When he returned, he told Mario some stuff and for Mallow to join him. Mallow told him that the adventure wasn't for him, a mere tadpole, when he told Mallow he wasn't a tadpole and that one rainy day, he saw a basket come out of the falls and when he looked in, a tiny baby stared back at him. "Mallow" was carved onto the belt the baby was wearing. He told Mallow to go out and find his real family, and gave them a Froggie Stick after they gave him the Cricket Pie.

Name: Geno
Likes: Helping others
Dislikes: Anyone trying to distroy wishes

This guy is really a star, obviously from Star Haven and obviously sent by the Star Spirits to fix Star Road, which I think powers the Star Rod itself. Anyhoo, this guy chose the form of a doll to do the job, and told Mario and co. what those Stars were and what they could really do. Then he joined them. After Smithy was defeated, the seven Star Pieces circled him and he left his doll form, which kinda made everyone sad because they knew he was leaving them forever, but he flew over to each of them and I guess they knew that he truely wasn't leaving them, and then he flew off, teleported them out of the Gate, and went to repair Star Road.

Name: Bowser
Likes: His Koopalings, the Princess, fighting
Dislikes: Anyone who takes away his Keep

This guy starts out as the bad guy, but not for long! Not after Smithy takes over his Keep anyway. This guy is seen trying to get back his Keep a few times early in the game. The first time is in Rose Way he organized most of his followers and they went marching back to the Keep. The second time is in Moleville, when only some Goombas and Magikoopas are left to help him. Then at Booster's Tower everyone has left him and he is crying (literally) about the good ol' days. When he sees Mario and co. watching he talks tough and stuff and walks off. A minute later he makes them members of the Koopa Troop and joins them, mostly to get back the princess I think.

Name: Princess Peach Toadstool
Likes: Mario, friends, being a princess, fighting for a change
Dislikes: Being kidnapped

The first thing that happened to the poor princess was Bowser kidnapped her. She got rescued, and THEN got sent flying by Exor and got held hostage AGAIN by Booster. She was nearly married to him when Mario and co. came and saved her. Then she wasn't allowed to join with them permanently, so she snuck out of the castle and joined them again, this time forever. She is mostly the healer of the party, but she also packs a punch with her Slap Glove, War Fan, and Frying Pan.

Name: King Nimbus
Likes: His wife, young Mallow, statues, autographs, and birds
Dislikes: Valentina, anyone trying to take over, having his subjects being told lies

This is the king of all of Nimbus Land, and Mallow's father. He has a good heart, is fun to be around, and is a great king. He LOVES birds and statues and has them all over the palace. When Mallow vanished, he was heartbroken and sadly had the whole area scoured. Unforunately, not a trace was found, though it WAS rumored Belome had possibly eaten him. Then when Mallow would've been about five, a rumor began that he was seen in a town far away when a Nimbus was on vacation in Rose Town. He and the queen went there and questioned the people, who said that there was a kid matching his discription nearby in Tadpole Pond. Unfortunately, Mallow and Frogfucious were on vacation when they investigated and left not knowing when they'd return. When Mallow returned a few years later and saved them all, King Nimbus was greatly overjoyed.

Name: Queen Nimbus
Likes: Her husband, Mallow, being just plain nice
Dislikes: Valentina, anyone who tries to take over, someone who is just plain mean.

This is the queen of Nimbus Land, and Mallow's mother. She has a very good heart and is a bit sensitive, which is where Mallow probably got his sensitivity. She was severly heartbroken when he vanished and had a frantic search going on night and day, but no one had seen him. She sadly gave up hope until Mallow was to be about five, and someone reported seeing a young Nimbus named Mallow in Rose Town. She and her husband went there and asked around and found out he lived nearby in Tadpole Pond. When they investigated, they found he was on vacation. When he returned, she was greatly overjoyed. She is grateful to have him home at long last.

Name: Raz and Raini
Likes: Each other and Mario and friends for saving their wedding
Dislikes: Booster for kicking them out of the chapel

This cute couple got married in Marrymore about halfway through the game. They were "just friends", they told Mario for a long time, until they finally admitted they were gonna get married. Their honeymoon was at Yo'sters Isle, but Raz couldn't jump on a Yoshi. Raini didn't mind too much though. It is rumored they are to have their first child soon.

Name: The Chancellor
Likes: The Princess, Mario, any friend of Mario's
Dislikes: Bowser, Peach being always kidnapped

This guy was called the Minister in Paper Mario. That's pretty much what he is too. He helps the princess and gives her advice. He is very old but that doesn't stop him the least bit. He rides on Yoshi in the end of the game, and gives Mario a map and allows him to use the vault. He is always worried about the well-being of the princess when she is kidnapped.
