Physical Appearance: Koopa is a green-shelled turtle that stands upright. He wears a pair of green sneakers.

Personality: Koopa is a very social and outgoing kind of person. He loves to talk with people and make new friends. He also loves to party, as seen in the Mario Party games. However, he's very competitive, and he can't take a loss of any kind. Losses usually result in whining and crying.

History: Koopa was a simple lad with a simple life. He started out as a floormat for those higher than him, but through battle he became the strongest Koopa Troopa in the ranks. Bowser congratulated him with the job of becoming royal treasurer for the Koopa Kingdom. Koopa spent all his time keeping track of the money in the castle, making him a banker of sorts. This definitely carried on with the events of Mario Party. In this game, Koopa was the head of the Koopa Bank, where players deposited money and eventually gained it. Koopa was very happy with this job for a while.

Then, Koopa got bored with his job and began to pursue more careers, one of which was as a professional racer, both on foot and in a kart. In the events of Super Mario Kart, Koopa was one of the best karters in the game, boasting a perfect win-loss record of 56-0. He got booted in the Nintendo 64 sequel, being replaced by Wario, leaving Koopa jobless once again. So, he decided to start racing on land, against the minions of Bowser's army. This carried on with the events of Super Mario 64, where Koopa was known as Koopa the Quick.

Eventually, Koopa retired from the sport of racing and decided to do as all retirees do--buy a summer home in the south. Koopa bought a hotel in the southern regions of Shell Isle, a previously unknown island off the coast of Mushroom Land. Many people visited his hotel, including none other than Mario and his friends. During their stay, Koopa made friends with Princess Peach and Princess Daisy, thus becoming great acquaintances. Koopa also spent his retirement playing all manners of sports, including tennis and baseball. He won several world circuits in tennis, including the Planet Cup, and his baseball career earned him several trophies and medals.

To this day Koopa resides in his fancy-schmancy hotel, resting the days away in the lazy summer sun.

Quote: "Hey, Mario! Wanna race?"
