Anuboo is some kind of phantom shapeshifter found in Teehee Valley of Superstar Saga.  He doesn't appear until after you deliver Peach to Lil' Fungitown, so unless you backtrack through the desert for no particular reason the first time you'd see him is while playing solo as Mario to find Luigi.  He will take the form of one of the Mario Bros. and shoot lasers at his inspiration.  The laser packs a punch but for a shapeshifter he's remarkably predictable.
