This upgraded Bandit relative found in the Pit of 100 Trials from PM2 is so slick that he's able to pluck badges right off of Mario's presumed vest while attacking.  I believe that only non-unique badges - that is, the ones you can get more than one of - can be swiped - but it sure would stink to have your badges pinched.  You'd better strike back quick after he steals, to make him drop the badge before he runs away.  Or just wear the Zap-Tap so he can't even steal at all.
