Games: Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story
 
Durmite, from Bowser’s Inside Story, is actually the sage Wisdurm in disguise as a size-changing worm.  Sworn to protect his Mystic Cure, mostly he tries to keep to himself but fights Mario and Luigi when cornered.  I don’t remember the fight being too difficult so maybe the Cure could have been left in better hands.  A stronger version known as Durmite X appears in the boss gauntlet in the Challenge Node.
