More about Fighter Fly...
Games: Mario Bros, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga
 
He may not look like much, but this jumping bug has caused many deaths back in one of Mario's very oldest games. There are lots of different versions of Mario Bros. but in the one I am most familiar with, he was certainly the foe most likely to end your game as he required to hits from below to knock out, and if he would get back up before being killed, then he'd start jumping around like crazy! After a long absence they reappeared in Superstar Saga but in a greatly cheapened form, appearing as one of the earliest and easiest foes.  It did gain a stronger form, Super Fighter Fly, that appeared later in the game.
