A distant relative of the Chain Chomp, this guy's linked chain is made of fireballs, and he can fly.  I'm not sure if he really poses the same threat as a traditional Chomp on the loose, but he can be nervewracking nonetheless.  He will shoot the fireballs that will make up his chain, then when he's run out, he'll go in for a kamikaze attack as he attempts to explode near his vehicle.  None of this would be too troubling if you could just run away from him, but he has a tendency to appeared in areas where you must remain on a moving platform or wait for the screen to scroll.  He's also difficult to jump on without getting hurt in the process.  So whether he smartly uses his surroundings well or is just lucky, when this guy's around it's no joke!

Fire Chomp made it into Round Three in Season Two of Roy's Sports Hall, but was defeated by Baby Bowser in his only season appearance.  He returned for the Season Ten Tournament seeded 40, but anyone who blinked could have missed him before he was quickly dispatched by Petey Piranha, and eliminated.
