Gargantuan Blargg is a lava beast found in castles and caves in Yoshi's games.  It is able to expand its body upward at will to block Yoshi's progress but attacks only with the touch of death.  Despite being made of lava, touching Gargantuan does not kill Yoshi.  Gargantuan cannot be killed, but hitting it with an egg will cause Gargantuan to shrink and remain immobile for a few seconds so that Yoshi can pass safely.  Gargantuan, which also appeared as one of Yoshi's hypnotized friends in Tetris Attack, is presumably related to the regular Blargg from SMW (which does not appear in the Yoshi series), but most closely resembles its watery relative, Nep-enut.
