When Goonie isn’t helping to add a tropical atmosphere by flying in the background of Yoshi’s Island, he’s typically to be found flying in the foreground dropping bombs or Shy Guys towards the heroic dino.  Goonie can also be found running on the ground, on which he is quicker than many enemies and often comes as part of a long chain of Goonies.  Even so, Yoshi has generally got the Goonie problem licked.  I don’t expect Goonies to stop appearing, and that’s fine by me.

Goonie may not seem like much of a threat, but has scored himself a decent rank mainly on the strength of having bombed three opponents at once back in Season Seven.  He entered the Season Ten Tournament as a heavy underdog seeded 56.  A first round match against Spy Guy, another non-boss enemy, along with pulling out all the stops seemed to reveal a glimmer of hope for Goonie, but in the end he couldn't hold out and was eliminated.
