A relatively cute, if disturbingly large, bug found climbing up and down vines in Mario 2.  It's only really dangerous on the way down, because once you're on top of it, you can simply pick it up and toss it away.  So this would be one of the least dangerous enemies in the game, only posing much risk if there's something forcing you to hurry your job onto an infested vine.  But I don't know any other vine-climbing foe in the Mario Universe so I guess he's kind of cool.
