More about Iron Cleft...
Games: Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door

Also known as the Iron Adonis Twins, there are two Iron Clefts known to be in existence, a red-shoed one and a green-shoed one, both of which appear in the Glitz Pit of PM2.  As the pair of fighters is ranked tenth in the Glitz Pit when Mario- or should I say, the Great Gonzales, enters, he has to defeat them to get promoted to the Major Leagues.  But this task proves to be a problem because the Iron Clefts' defense is off the charts - Mario cannot leave so much as a scratch on them the first time he challenges them.  So he is guaranteed to lose this battle, or else run away from it, which amounts to the same thing.  It's a wonder why these guys are only ranked tenth, if they're so indestructible...

After the battle the egg Mario previously rescued will have hatched into the baby Yoshi that I like to call Gonzales Jr.  And just in time too, as the rematch against the Iron Clefts proves to be one of the only times this Yoshi is really useful in battle.  Using his Gulp ability, the Yoshi is able to pull one of the Clefts into his mouth and spit it at the other, revealing their only weakness - each other.  Doing that two times will win the day and Mario will be able to advance, as the Iron Clefts turn soft and later cheet him on.  Oh, and if you're thinking about asking how the baby Yoshi can fit in his mouth something bigger than he is, especially when that object has spikes on it sharp enough to pierce metal... you're not very familiar with videogame logic!
