More about King Kaliente...

What can I say about King Kaliente?  Whatever it is I just hope it's really about him and not about King Kalimari, with whom I am danger of confusing him.  Well, in terms of what I can compare him to, he reminds me of Octorocs from the Zelda games, those little guys that shoot rocks from their mouths.  King Kaliente is a big guy, but rock-spitting?  Check.  He is a boss in the Good Egg Galaxy of Mario Galaxy and spits rocks out of his mouth in Mario's general direction.  Sometimes he spits coconuts that Mario can knock back at him to cause damage.  That's about it.  When he gets hit he may create these weird blue things that bounce about and can hurt Mario, but really he's not very hard at all.  For some reason, Bowser Jr. saw something in him and brought him back to guard his last Grand Star, but Kaliente attacked the same way as before.  The only thing different was that the platformers around him would sink as Mario stood on them, so the plumber needed to keep moving and get in his hits when he could.  King Kaliente also appeared in Galaxy 2's boss rush.
