Knife Guy is half the pair of jesters that serve as minibosses at the top of Booster's Tower in Mario RPG.  While his brother Grate Guy specializes in magic attacks, Knife Guy uses physical attacks in addition to being able to team up with his bro for a Bros. Attack before Mario and Luigi ever conceived of it.  He can hit hard, but you're probably better off going after Grate Guy first to stop the effects of his nasty spells, plus he goes down more quickly.  Later Knife Guy can be found about halfway up Booster's Tower.  You can play some game with him, I think he juggles a ball and you have to point to the hand that has it.  I wouldn't get too invested in this, the prizes he gives out are mainly useless (and disgusting), like the Moldy Mushroom.
