More about Macho Grubba...
Games: Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door

Seen in the Glitz Pit of Paper Mario 2, Grubba is the rootin', tootin'est fight manager you've done ever seen! Grubba managed the Glitz Pit, organizing the fights and contracting with fighters, and was also in charge of promotions. But the entire thing was a ruse! For this Western-accented Clubba had come into possession of one of the Crystal Stars (we know not how), which combined with a machine he used to drain the power of hapless fighters to keep himself youthful. Not only did this keep Grubba strong but it was also a convenient way to cause those who knew too much to disappear. Before the events of Paper Mario 2, Grubba had made the first champion of the Glitz Pit, Prince Mush, disappear for knowing too much. During PM2 he also made Bandy Andy disappear for the same reason. Another fighter, King K, became an easy victim because he was planning to quit, so when he disappeared no one suspected foul play at first...

But Mario - fighting under the name of Gonzales as prescribed by Grubba while he sought out the Gold Star - found out what was going on while rising through the ranks, mostly thanks to information provided by Jolene, Grubba's assistant but secretly the sister of Prince Mush. After finally being cornered in the ring, Grubba used his machine to transform into Macho Grubba. Mainly attacking with physical blows he would cast a spell to double his attacks for each turn, and then in each round he would raise either his attack power or his defense. He was a tough opponent, to be sure, but not a true match for the plumber who had just become Glitz Pit champion. Grubba was defeated and presumably arrested, while Jolene assumed his managerial duties. Happily Prince Mush, Bandy Andy, and King K were found and rejuvenated.

Macho Grubba has been seen in a few occassions in Roy's Sports Hall. You'd think that his great strength combined with his familiarity around fighting rings should make him an instant success, but instead he's gone winless in three tries. With a recent victory by Cackletta, who until then had the worst Sports Hall results, Grubba is now tied with Chain Chomp for the least success.  But he's a fairly well known figure who seems bound to appear again, and he's sure to throw it down with a strong chance to win when he does.
