Games: New Super Mario Bros.
 
Not to be confused with Pokey Mummy as I did, this is a bandage-wrapped Pokey that appears as the second world boss in New Super Mario Bros.  After sliding through the sandy floor it will pop up and spit ghostly blue fireballs at Mario.  When it rises from the sand it will emerge to various heights, and when it is low enough is when you'll be able to jump on his head and cause damage.  He's not too difficult, which is good news considering that to access world four you must beat him as Mini Mario.

Pokey Mummy might have been a better boss.  At least you can't beat him by jumping on his head!
