Bowser's Inside Story

More about Peach's Castle...
Games: Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story as an enemy; Super Mario RPG, Super Mario 64, and many others as a location

Ah, the home of the fair Princess Peach.  Also the seat of power in the Mushroom Kingdom.  The first game to include a place you might think of as Peach's Castle was Super Mario RPG, in which Mario visited the princess' home in the location of "Mushroom Kingdom" , but it really came into its own in Mario 64.  The stained glass window over the front door, featuring the image of Peach and first appearing in SM64, is well known to Mario fans today.  The outside appearance of Peach's Castle has stayed relatively constant since Mario 64 - at least compared to that of Bowser's Castle, anyway - but the inside is very different from game to game.  The castle also seems to keep getting relocated, that or the Mushroom government keeps burning down the surrounding areas and building new castle towns.  Paper Mario and Bowser's Inside Story both dared to have a town just next to Peach's Castle called Toad Town, but these villages were quite different from one another.  Ah, Mushroom politics...

Not generally to be considered much of a fortress, Peach has been kidnapped from or held hostage in this place on countless occassions.  Peach's Castle counts as an enemy only because it was roboticized and turned into one in Bowser's Inside Story.  Compared to the gigantic Bowser, though, this technological abomination wasn't really that tough.  If it was hard at all, it's because it creates a black hole situated behind Bowser that he can get flung into if he gets hit too much.  But later in the battle a black hole is created behind the robotic castle as well.  Even with the black hole I think this fight is easier than the one against the Fawful Express, if only because of the strict turn limit in that battle; but it is at least harder than the battles against Bowser's Castle and the Tower of Yikk.

The roboticized Castle of Peach made its Sports Hall debut during Season Nine.  At first it put up a good defense against its natural rival from across the lava, Bowser Castle, but in the end it got ransacked just as before, and was eliminated from the season.
