Pidgit is a flightless bird who uses a magic carpet to fly around.  He's reasonably iconic of Mario 2 but was actually more of a help than a hindrance.  Without any particularly dangerous attack pattern, Mario and his friends could jump on to the carpet, throw Pidgit off, and use it for themselves until it would mysteriously disappear.  If there is one thing Pidgit is good at, it's that he was able to keep the carpet from disappearing as long as was on it.  But the Sub-con adventure might have turned out for Wart had the Pidgits and carpets all disappeared entirely.

In his only regular season appearance in the Sports Hall, Pidgit qualified for Round Three in Season One but was defeated by Mack.  He returned for the Season Ten Tournament seeded 46, with a first round match against Baby Bowser.  Despite some impressive use of the iconic SMB2 jars, Pidgit was defeated, and eliminated from the tourney.
