More about Salvo the Slime...
Games: Yoshi's Island
 
Salvo the Slime is the boss of the first world in Yoshi's Island.  After being enlarged by Kamek he will bounce around in a vaguely menacing fashion although he is not able to personally damage Yoshi, who must throw eggs at Salvo to shrink and eventually defeat him.  If necessary Yoshi can collect more eggs from regular Slimes that drop in from the ceiling, and that are able to damage Yoshi on contact.  Salvo himself could kill Yoshi outright by knocking Yoshi into the lava on the right side of the room, but all the dino has to do is stick to the left and he'll be safe.  Salvo also appears twice in the world 6 mid-castle.  He is ought the same way, though he may be a little harder if only because there aren't spare eggs around, and drops keys to the locked doors.

An emboldened Salvo appeared ready to engulf Baseball Boy in his Sports Hall debut during Season Nine, but instead was batted away and eliminated.
