Luigi and Waluigi have just returned to Professor E. Gadd's lab after capturing Baby Chauncey.
E. Gadd: Well done, you two! How has your adventure in the mansion been coming along?
Luigi: Well, things got somewhat out of hand at points, but we managed to capture three rather tough ghosts so far!
Waluigi: Yeah, and check out the treasure we've found!
Waluigi shows E. Gadd all the money they've collected, including jewels earned from catching a Gold Mouse and the Rich Ghosts. E. Gadd places the money into an odd machine nearby, which calculates how much money has been gathered.
E. Gadd: Let's see... According to these figures, you two have earned about.... 9,690,000 G.
Luigi's jaw drops, and dollar signs appear in Waluigi's eyes.
Waluigi: Oh yeah! I'm-a gonna be a gazillionaire by the time this is over!
E. Gadd: As for the ghosts you have captured, I'll need both of your Poltergusts.
Luigi and Waluigi both hand over their Poltergust 3000s. E. Gadd walks over to the Portrificator and loads the ghosts into it. Once the three ghosts have been turned back into portraits, Luigi decides to inspect them.
Luigi: Interesting... Professor, how come these portraits all have golden frames?
E. Gadd: Ah, that means that you two have caught the ghosts efficiently and without much hassle!
Waluigi: That sounds cool. Hey, can we go on E-Bay now and auction these paintings off to the highest bidder?
E. Gadd: NO! These paintings are too dangerous to be released to innocent people around the world! It's against my code of ethics! I will merely put them back into my gallery until I can find a way to dispose of them. Meanwhile, the key you obtained from that phantom baby should unlock the Main Corridor, which leads to the main areas of the mansion.
Waluigi: Sounds good, Doc! I can't wait to get my hands on another shining gem!
Luigi: Don't worry, Professor E. Gadd! We won't let you down!
The Luigis then exit the laboratory and head back towards the mansion.
