EXT. GRASSY PLAIN - NEXT TO STREAM - DAY
Larry goes up to a stream and empties one of the cans into
it. He throws the empty can offscreen.
EXT. LAKE - DAY
Mario empties two of the cans into a lake, then throws
them offscreen.
EXT. DESERT - DAY
Bowser walks through the desert.
BOWSER
Water... water... water... Can't find
any. Oh well.
Bowser drinks several of the cans, then throws them
offscreen.
BOWSER
Darn it! It's just water. I wanted
coffee.
INT. MUSHROOM KINGDOM PALACE - THRONE ROOM - DAY
Smithy Jr. comes back into the room and sits on the throne
again.
SMITHY JR.
Man, it's hard to find people when
it's only you looking and you're
pretty slow at moving. I'm sure
they'll be stupid and try a last
minute attack on me.
Mario, Luigi, Larry, Roy, Iggy, and Ludwig all burst in.
SMITHY JR.
Am I right, or what?
IGGY
Don't you think we should've, you
know, waited a little?
MARIO
No. We have to catch him unaware.
SMITHY JR.
Silly Mario. I am very aware!
Smithy Jr. raises his hand to throw a hammer, but suddenly
stiffens.
SMITHY JR.
What? Why do I suddenly feel
so... less powerful?
MARIO
See? If we had waited until he was
completely weakened, he would've
left already and gone into hiding
until he managed to power himself
up again. We would have had
trouble finding him. Now he's
weakened and we know exactly where
he is. Prepare to be defeated,
Smithy Jr!
SMITHY JR.
Oh, crud.
Mario jumps over on top of Smithy Jr. The camera cuts away
while Mario is in mid-jump.
EXT. MUSHROOM KINGDOM PALACE - ENTRANCE - DAY
Toad and the rest of his group enter. Toad is holding a
beaker of a liquid.
TOAD
Well, they did finally find an
antidote at Woohoo Hooniversity.
We're late, but if Mario and his
group didn't fix it in time, at
least we'll save SOME of the people
with this.
INT. MUSHROOM KINGDOM PALACE - THRONE ROOM - DAY
Smithy Jr. is now completely defeated. Various parts of him
are scattered around the room. Mario triumphantly puts one
foot on Smithy Jr's head.
SMITHY JR.
Not... again...
Smithy Jr's eyes close and he stops moving.
MARIO
Well, this time we're going to be
sure to separate these parts so he
doesn't bother us again!
Toad and his group enter.
TOAD
Woah. It looks like some amazing
fight scene just happened, and that
the fight scene was so incredibly
violent and brutal they never would
get away with showing it in a
family movie.
MARIO
That's pretty much it.
PEACH
So Smithy Jr's defeated, and soon
everything will be back to
normal... so why do I have the
feeling that we're forgetting
something?
LUDWIG
Dr. Physics will tell you what
you're forgetting!
Ludwig is about to dash out, but Roy grabs him.
ROY
I've had just about enough of all
this "Dr. Physics" nonsense...
Someone who looks exactly like Ludwig, except he's wearing a
doctor's outfit, comes in.
DR. PHYSICS
Hi everyone! I'm Dr. Physics!
Everyone stares at Dr. Physics, the aforementioned person.
DR. PHYSICS
Yeah, I know I look a lot like
Ludwig. There's a funny story
behind that, actually. Would you
believe-
ROY
So, wait. Dr. Physics is a real
person?
LUDWIG
Of course! You didn't think I was
crazy, did you?
Lord Seth comes in.
LORD SETH
Lemmy! I finally found you! I'm
here to tell you the synonym for
goofy that I found!
LEMMY
Okay. What is it?
LORD SETH
It's... it's... uh... er... oh darn
it, I forgot! I went through all of
that, and I can't even remember it!
LEMMY
It's okay. I didn't really care
anyway.
LORD SETH
Really?
LEMMY
Really.
LORD SETH
So I went through all that to find
you to tell you something that you
didn't care about, and in the whole
mess I forgot what that was?
LEMMY
It appears that way.
LORD SETH
In that case, I'm going to go home
and cry at the utter futility of my
life.
Lord Seth leaves.
BOWSER
By the way, because you did help me
out, you seven are now un-banished
as long as you help me speed up the
reconstruction of the castle.
WENDY
Hooray!
LARRY
Well, it looks like everything's
finally peaceful. Maybe the
Mushroom Kingdom and the Koopas,
after this adventure, will finally
learn to accept and trust each
other. Maybe-
As Larry continues, Smithy Jr. suddenly opens his eyes and
grins evilly. He looks up. His hands are in two different
areas of the room. Both pick up a rock as Larry continues
talking. One throws the rock at Bowser, and the other one
throws the rock at Mario. Both rocks hit the back of their
target's heads. Then Smithy Jr. closes his eyes again and
stops moving. Bowser and Mario turn around.
BOWSER
Is that how you repay Larry's nice
offer?! By throwing rocks at us?!
MARIO
I didn't throw any rock at you!
Someone threw a rock at me, though!
ROY
Oh, yeah, that was me.
WENDY
What are you talking about? You
didn't-
Roy puts his hand on Wendy's mouth.
ROY
(quietly to Wendy)
Be quiet! I like taking credit for
rock throws I didn't do! It gives
me more street cred!
BOWSER
Well, as far as I'm concerned, this
whole new friendship thing between
the Koopas and the Mushroom Kingdom
that Larry was babbling on about is
over! And how dare you accuse Roy
of throwing rocks when he didn't
throw anything?
MARIO
I didn't accuse him of anything!
And he just said that he did throw
the rock!
BOWSER
Too bad! Come on, kids! Let's get
out of here! We need to finish
rebuilding the castle anyway!
LARRY
But-
BOWSER
GO OR YOU'RE GETTING BANISHED
AGAIN!
The Koopalings all run out.
BOWSER
Only one last thing to do...
Bowser grabs Peach and runs out.
PEACH
Hey!
MARIO
Come back with her!
Mario and Luigi both rush after Bowser.
DR. PHYSICS
I'd better get out of here, also.
I've got some important experiments
to check up on.
Dr. Physics leaves also, leaving Toad alone in the room. Then
the Sledge Brother who was previously handing out the
newspapers comes in, holding some newspapers.
SLEDGE BROTHER
Extra! Extra! Read all about it!
Really low prices! Well, the extra
low prices isn't the headline, but
we're selling them for extra low
prices!
TOAD
Oh, why not? How much is it?
SLEDGE BROTHER
A coin.
TOAD
Really? That's really cheap. I'll
take it!
Toad gives the Sledge Brother a coin and the Sledge Brother
gives him a newspaper, then leaves. Toad looks at the
newspaper.
TOAD
(reading)
Littering found to be rampant in
the Mushroom Kingdom and adjacent
areas... various empty soda cans
found scattered everywhere.
(stops reading)
Darn those litterers! They never
think about anyone but themselves!
I bet they'd never go and save the
Mushroom Kingdom like Mario, Luigi,
and those other guys did!
(pause)
You know, I wonder what it was we
were forgetting... Peach said she
thought there was something we
forgot... oh well. I'm sure it's
nothing important.
INT. FORTRESS - DUNGEON - DAY
The Goomba who has the Luigi disguise on is still in the
dungeon cell.
GOOMBA
Uh, hello? Hello? Would someone let
me out of here? I'm getting a bit
hungry. Hello? Hello? Is anyone out
there? ANYONE?! HELP!
A Spiny comes in.
GOOMBA
Spiny! Help! Let me out of here!
SPINY
(screams)
It's Mario! GET ME OUT OF HERE!
GOOMBA
Uh, actually I'm dressed up as
Luigi, not Mario.
SPINY
Oh. Let me do that over.
(screams)
It's Luigi! GET ME OUT OF HERE!
The Spiny runs out.
GOOMBA
I hate my life.
FADE OUT.
