Chapter 8: His Final Words
MVBTC: So, what do you say, Jr? Partnership?
Jr: Fine, if you at least tell me your name.
MVBTC: Very well, Jr. My name is Morton Koopa.
Jr: But… then who’s the guy in my dungeon?
Morton: Jr, that, is Morton Koopa, Jr. I am Morton Koopa, but you may call me Crystaall.
Jr: Why?
Crystaall (just
deal with all of the name changes): All in due time, my
boy. Now give
me the Koopalings.
Jr: Okay! Koopa, get me the Koopalings!
A Koopa presses a button on the wall. The Koopalings fall through the ceiling.
Lemmy: How did we fall through the ceiling if we were in a dungeon?
Lemmyscoo (the
narrator, ME!): Because you got catapulted through the
dungeon ceiling
and then fell through the room’s ceiling.
Lemmy: I thought you were going to say "because".
Lemmyscoo: I’m leaving now.
Lemmyscoo walks offscreen.
Lemmy: Crystaall! What are you doing here?!
Crystaall: I’m here because I need you to takeover the Mushroom Kingdom. Now, we go back to my base!
Everyone poofs back to Crystaall’s base.
RoS: Home, evil home.
Crystaall: Now that we have all seven of the Koopalings, I can takeover the world! But first, I’m sure we all want to see Bowser’s demise, right?
Everyone who’s evil: YES!
Crystaall: Then let’s go!
Ludwig: We’ll stop you!
Crystaall: Not today, Ludwig! Kamek, take us up!
Kamek pushes a button and a platform takes everyone who’s in the base up to where Bowser is.
Morton (Jr): How’d we get here so fast?
Crystaall: Fool, we’re directly under Bowser’s Castle!
Koopalings: Wha-?
RoS: Didn’t think of that, did you?
Bowser: Father?
Crystaall: I’M YOUR FATHER NO LONGER, BOWSER! YOUR KIDS BELONG TO ME NOW!
Bowser: No… Kids, help me, please…
Lemmy: We can’t, we’re sorry… so sorry.
Jr: OKAY, THAT’S IT! I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING THAT’S GOING ON HERE!
Ludwig: Now that you mention it, we don’t know all that much about what’s going on either. We were just dragged into the fight, and then Bowser told us that the guy we just fought was really powerful, and that he’ll get stronger, and then he said "stuff".
Crystaall, Kamek, and RoS huddle and start talking quietly to themselves.
Bowser: Okay, *oof*, I’ll tell you… Morton Koopa Sr., my father, wanted to rule the Koopas forever, but he knew that he couldn’t because he would die and give the throne to Wart, as far as he knew. So, the only way he could become immortal without anyone knowing, was to secretly gather the seven Crystal Stars and mix them into a potion that would make him immortal. Unfortunately, this was after Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, so he had to go find where they rehid the Stars. One day, when he was admiring the six Stars he had, I was walking down the hallway, looking for someone to do my bidding. I overheard Morton sending away some Goomba, so I went over to see what he was doing. I saw him staring at his Stars, taking notes. I read about how you can make yourself immortal by using the seven Crystal Stars and a potion in a book called "Stuff You Might Want to Know". I spied the potion on his bookcase next to his old history textbook. I figured that he was trying to make himself immortal so he could rule the Koopas forever, so, just in case it didn’t work, I poisoned Wart’s food to turn him into a frog, then Morton would banish him. And, if it did work, I found the King Dark Star in an old storage closet, so I could throw it into the potion just before he drank it so he wouldn’t remember his plan to rule the Koopas forever, and come up with an eviler plan. And I did throw the King Dark Star into the potion just before he drank it, and- kids, I can’t keep the cage up anymore… Remember me… And tell Crystaall… I-
The cage falls on Bowser, crushing him.
Koopalings: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Chapter 9: How It Happened
Crystaall: You know, if he didn’t spy on me all the time, this wouldn’t have happened.
Ludwig: I don’t believe it…
Crystaall: What?
Ludwig: That it was Bowser’s fault…
RoS: Bummer, huh?
Bowser Jr: So, what happened after that?
Crystaall: Ah, it’s a long, long story. But, I have some extra time. I put in the final Crystal Star, and I saw a figure outside of the containment chamber I was in. I didn’t know that it was Bowser at the time. He threw in the King Dark Star just before I drank it, and then I gulped down the whole potion. I felt more powerful, and then, I turned into solid, neon-light-blue crystal! But I was immortal, and I could rule the Koopas forever. But, I also felt eviler, and I couldn’t resist trying to think of a better plan. So I thought, and then I thought that I’d study my new body. I was made out of solid crystal, and if I cut deep enough, blue goo would come pouring out. I still haven’t figured out what that is. Then, after I healed, Bowser came in. He said that if I wanted to rule the Koopas forever, I would have to defeat him first. Then, he called you into the fight. I didn’t know how to fight back in my new body, but it took a lot of clobbering to take me down. If you could see the fight, Jr, oh, it was amazing! Anyway, they finally won, and I was immobilized. A while later, Kamek found me, and freed me from immobilization. I took a few weeks learning about my new body and what it could do. Kamek gave me information about the Koopa family while I sat behind my curtain, waiting for the right moment to strike. And that’s the story. So, Jr, what do you think?
Jr: Awesome…
Crystaall: So,
Jr, now we can get rid of the Koopalings, and we can begin our rule of
the Mushroom Kingdom!
At Peach’s Castle, they had just finished the annual mourning of Mario’s death.
Luigi: Now that we've finished mourning, we can go to bed knowing that somewhere, Mario’s happy.
E. Gadd: Wait! I picked up some interference from Koopa Castle! Luigi, you should go over there and see what’s going on!
Luigi: Okay, I’ll do it for Mario!
Back at Koopa Castle…
Ludwig: Okay, everyone! Get ready for the fight of your life!
Luigi breaks through the wall.
Luigi: Not so fast… uhh… Who are you?
Crystaall: You, Luigi, may call me Crystaall.
Luigi: Okay. Time to kick your butt!
Crystaall: I challenge all of you to a 9-way Xiaolin Showdown! Last one standing wins!
Lemmy: Then I
Shen-Yi-Bu Dare you! Whoever gets out last must obey one
wish from the
winning person!
All: LET’S GO! XIOALIN SHOWDOWN!
The floor breaks off to form a 9-sided polygon.
All: GONG-YI-TEMPI!
Now entering Xiaolin Showdown format!
Crystaall: Let’s end this now!
Luigi: Already?
Crystaall: Annihilation!
A big, black, semi-circle comes out of Crystaall and knocks everyone off! Crystaall wins! Wait! Luigi and Lemmy are still hanging on!
Luigi: Green Luigi Fireball!
Green fire surrounds Luigi and he’s heading straight towards Crystaall!
Crystaall: Repel Fire!
Luigi bounces off of Crystaall and out of the polygon!
Lemmy: Ice Strike!
The same thing happens, except with ice. It’s a direct hit! Crystaall’s knocked down, but not out!
Crystaall: Fire Blizzard!
A blizzard-like fire comes out of Crystaall and blows Lemmy out of the stage! Crystaall wins!
Exit Xiaolin Showdown format!
Crystaall: Lemmy, now that you have lost the Xiaolin Showdown, you must become my minion!
Lemmy: (faintly)
No…
Chapter 10: The Evil Lemmy
Crystaall zaps Lemmy with some evil ray. Lemmy gets up. His eyes are blood-red. There is a blank look in his eye. Then, Lemmy is engulfed in a sphere of pure evil. Then, he emerges, but he is made of solid crystal. His eyes are still blood-red, but he has an evil look in his eyes, the kind that can make feel like you want to faint.
Crystaall: Now, Lemmy, arise! Come to your master!
Lemmy: …
Lemmy floats over to Crystaall. Everyone else is rendered speechless.
Crystaall: Lemmy, your first assignment is to capture the Koopalings, and make sure they cannot escape. Understood?
Lemmy: …
Lemmy nods his head “yes”. As it moves, a trail of red vapor moves with his head, and the rest of him. He turns around, and stares into Ludwig’s eyes.
Ludwig: Lemmy? Is there any good left in you? LEMMY!
Lemmy: …
Then, Lemmy looks up, and shoots fire out of his mouth. It burns a hole through the roof, and where the roof was, there is the word “RUN”. The Koopalings make a dash for Pipe Land, the only place where they might lose Lemmy. Lemmy sprouts wings from under his shell, and flies toward the Koopalings, the red vapor still following him. Larry looks back, and sees Lemmy, his wings, and the red vapor. But worst of all, the one thing that could make him lose hope, he looked straight into Lemmy’s eyes, and Lemmy looked into his. And Larry saw complete nothingness.
Larry: (A null void. That’s what Lemmy has become. A null void.)
And at that moment, Larry stopped, turned around to face Lemmy, and stood there. The other Koopalings didn’t notice.
Lemmy: …
Then, Lemmy said something. Something that let Larry know there was still a little bit of Lemmy left.
Lemmy: … It’s… rude… to… STARE!
Then Larry ran, as fast as he could, scared and hopeful at the same time. He caught up with the other Koopalings, and Lemmy caught up with him.
Larry: LEMMY! STOP! WE’RE YOUR FAMILY! THIS IS MADNESS! STOP!
Lemmy: …
Then Lemmy trapped
them in a cage made of red vapor. Larry tried to get out, but as soon as
he touched the vapor, the entire cage became solid. The Koopalings were
trapped, and everyone knew that this was the end.
Chapter 11: The Conquest
Lemmy returned to where he had left to chase the Koopalings and found a 50-foot block of pulsating crystal, Kamek, and RoS. His eyes turned the same shade of blue as Crystaall.
Lemmy:(telepathically) What happened?
RoS (who can hear Lemmy): The crystal is Crystaall. While you were gone, he said he knew that the time was right to start the conquest, then there was this flash of light, and where Crystaall was, there was this block of crystal.
Lemmy: …
Kamek: Who needs that annoyance Crystaall anyway?
Lemmy: …
Suddenly, Lemmy’s eyes turned blood-red again, and the ground shook. In the Mushroom Kingdom, they thought it was the end of the world (they were kind of right). Everyone took cover in a magical room inside Peach’s castle.
Peach: HEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPP!
Then, a dark red vortex appeared under Kamek, and dragged him in.
Kamek: LEMMY! I’LL GET YOU FOR THIS!
The vortex closed, and where Kamek once stood, there was a red gem, the one from his wand. Then, the block started to grow root-like pieces of crystal that went underground. The ground shook, and the castle slowly turned into crystal. Then, the block cracked, and Crystaall came out, except he was 49 feet tall, and he didn’t look like a Koopa, he looked like a dragon. Instead of fire, he spat blocks of crystal that looked like fire, then they melted onto the surface of whatever they hit, their effect was irreversible.
Crystaall: THE CONQUEST OF THE WORLD HAS BEGUN! NOW, RISE LEMMY, AND WE SHALL CONQUER THE WORLD TOGETHER! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Lemmy: …
Lemmy floated up to Crystaall’s head, and all of the houses in the Mushroom Kingdom collapsed. No one heard the Mushroomers’ cries for help.
RoS: What about me?
Crystaall: YOU? YOU?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU WERE JUST A TOOL! NOW YOU’VE OUTLIVED YOUR USEFULNESS! LEMMY, TAKE CARE OF HIM, I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO! HAHAHAHAHA!
Lemmy: …
And Crystaall flew toward the Mushroom Kingdom, ready to turn it into pure crystal as Lemmy came down to confront RoS.
RoS: (a little scared) Lemmy, bu-buddy… Come on… It’s me… RoS… Your pa-pal…
Lemmy: …
Then Lemmy burned these words into the crystal above him: I HAVE MY ORDERS TO DESTROY YOU. YOU ARE NO MATCH FOR ME. MY SIBLINGS WERE NO MATCH FOR ME. WHY SHOULD YOU BE ANY DIFFERENT?
RoS: Because I’m not like them. I have magical abilities. I can fight you, Lemmy.
Lemmy: …
Then Lemmy burned more words into the crystal: SO BE IT. Then, RoS launched a blast of fire from his wand, a homing fireball. Lemmy turned into crystal and the fireball bounced off of him. Then Lemmy countered with a homing crystal ball. It hit RoS directly, turning him back into a Dry Bones.
RoS: What?!
Lemmy: …
Again, Lemmy burned in these words: TIME TO FINISH YOU OFF. Then Lemmy launched himself at RoS while turning himself into a black hole. The hole enveloped RoS, but the change was permanent, so Lemmy couldn’t turn back into himself. He went looking for Crystaall, hoping he could turn him back. And as Lemmy approached the crystallized city, everything got sucked into him. That was when he realized that there was no hope for him, for anyone.
