Mario Party Mix-Up

Finished by Anikiki, originally by Guest256

Go see the original story.

Guest256: Hello, to all of you who managed to bear with us. I'm Guest256, reporting back to the Mario Party Mix-Up, the game that combines Mario Parties 1, 2, and 3.

Ludwig: Uh, aren't Mario Parties 1 and 2 the same format?

Guest256: Well, basically yes, but there ARE some differences. Let's check the standings. Show the screen!

Roy: We have a screen now?

Guest256: Yeah, since this is a Little Lemmy's Land Qualifier, we get some benefits.

Morton: Is that my TV?

Guest256: Let's show those standings, shall we?

The screen shows this:
Yoshi: 1 Star, 52 coins
Luigi: 0 Stars, 47 coins
Peach: 0 Stars, 18 coins
Mario: 0 Stars, 17 coins

Guest256: Yes, we have got ourselves an interesting game as Yoshi, our favorite, has managed to claim a strong first place. Looks like the other contestants have a long way to go! And now we must begin turn 5!

Mario: CHEESE!

Guest256: Not now! Hit the die!

Mario: Okey-dokey!

Mario hits a 6 and advances to Toad.

Toad: Sorry Mario, but you need 20 coins to get a Star.

Mario: How many do I have?

Toad: Well, according to the board, 17.

Mario: Is that enough?

Toad: No.

Mario: NO!!!

Toad: Just go ahead and finish your turn.

Mario moves up and lands on the Battle Mini-Game Space.

Guest256: Alright, we got ourselves a battle mini-game. Goomba, take it away!

Goomba: Thanks, Guest. Alright players, fork over 10 coins! *waits* Okay, it seems everyone has paid in full. Now we must choose a mini-game. ACTIVATE THE COMPUTERIZED ROULETTE WHEEL!

Guest256: Again, a benefit of being a Little Lemmy's Land Qualifier.

The roulette wheel spins around and lands on Crazy Cutters.

Goomba: Ah, yes, Crazy Cutters! Basically, it's a cut a pattern game with jackhammers. Those who were into Mario Party 2, and I believe 1, should be very familiar with this game. And I decide the pattern. I'm feeling... Cheep Cheep. And I'm not talking about my paycheck, far from it! Everybody, to your places!

Toad: Ready... GO!

Guest256: The players begin, but only Peach is having a rough start as she is jackhammering nearly off her playing field. Yoshi is making a perfect cut and at a steady rate, but suprisingly, so are Mario and Luigi. Well, Luigi is going a lot slower than the two of them, but he's making progress. *mumbles* I'm just suprised that he hasn't short-circuited his hammer with his-

SLAP!

Guest256: Oww! What was that for?! And who are you?

???: Sorry to slap you, but I couldn't allow you to poke fun at Luigi's little problem! And if you must know, my name is Anikiki, and I am one of the sponsors and a fellow Super Mario Brothers fan, and I like Luigi.

Guest256: Oh, pleased to meet you.

Anikiki: Uh-huh. And by the way, Luigi can't short-circuit the jackhammer because he's... uh... he's using a special protection against his "leaks."

Guest256: LUIGI'S WEARING ADULT...

Anikiki covers Guest256's mouth.

Guest256: di-per?

Anikiki: SHH! Well, what would you want him to do, be covered in his own filth?

Guest256: Good point.

Lemmy: Uh, guys, the mini-game?

Guest256: Oh, yeah. Welcome, Anikiki, the one that helped keep this show going. Anyway, back to the action. It seems Yoshi and Mario have finished the pattern and both seem to be a clean cut. And just now, Peach has got back on course, but I doubt she will finish her pattern in time. Meanwhile Luigi is slowly but surely making his way to the end. And with ten seconds left, he may finish it. Seven, six, five, four... Luigi's finished, but I wish I could say the same for Peach.

Toad: TIME UP!

Guest256: Okay, then, we finish the race. Let's see what the judges give as a score.

The jumbo monitor shows these scores:
Mario: 98
Yoshi: 97
Luigi: 86
Peach: 25

Guest256: And it seems that Mario is the winner and Yoshi takes second. And now here are our scores.

The monior shows these scores:
Yoshi: 1 Star, 55 coins
Luigi: 37 coins
Mario: 34 coins
Peach: 8 coins

Guest256: It seems that Mario and Peach have switched places, and I guess he was helped by all thoese cut-outs he did when he repeated Kindergarten recently.

Anikiki: I thought it was the construction experience he had.

Guest256: Well, that too, but back to the board. It's Yoshi's turn!

Yoshi picks up a 5 and moves towards the shop.

Toad: Hey, Yoshi, interested in an item?

Yoshi: Uh, no thanks.

Toad: Suit yourself.

Yoshi then continues his turn and advances to a Blue Space. Luigi then gets a 7 and moves to the item shop.

Toad: Hey Luigi, would you like to buy an item?

Luigi: No thanks, Toad.

Toad: Suit yourself.

Luigi then heads towards the Koopa Bank.

Koopa: Congrats, Luigi. You earned five coins.

Luigi: Ha ha HA!

Peach takes her turn and bashes a 3, and advances to a Blue Space.

Guest256: Allright we seem to have a 4-player mini-game. The game is Dizzy Dancing from Mario Party 2. Basically, you will be spun around in a giant record player, resulting in you getting dizzy. Get the note and you win! SPIN THE WHEEL!

The wheel starts spinning the players around, eventually tossing the players into different corners.

Toad: START!

The players stagger across the record player. Luigi falls down immediately from dizzyness, causing a chain reaction of Peach and Yoshi falling down. Meanwhile, Mario throws up on the edge of the record player!

Guest256: That's what you get for eating so much cheese!

Morton: WEDDING CAKE!

Guest256 sighs. Back at the field, the players are up and moving, but Mario slips and falls, leaving Luigi and Yoshi to trip on Mario. Peach then jumps a couple of times toward the center until she grabs the golden note and huggles it.

Toad: FINISH! Peach wins!

Peach: YEAH!

Wendy: You go, girlfriend!

Guest256: Well, Peach has managed to pick up that victory. NOW RELEASE THE NOTE, PEACH! THE GAME'S OVER! Let's go to the board!

The board reads:
Yoshi: 1 Star, 58 coins
Luigi: 42 coins
Mario: 34 coins
Peach: 21 coins

Guest256: Well, Peach has managed to catch up a little, but she's still in last place. Let's hope things will change around in turn six. But before we do, we must take a word from our sponsor.

Anikiki: Need a place to relax? Are you a big dreamer? Curious about how Stars grant wishes? Come to Star Haven Resort, where you can learn about the Stars, relax in the peaceful environment, and party in our dance-rave. And although it may be new, you can help us make it better just by telling us. Star Haven Resort, where you can crash and dream for a while. Back to you, Guest!

Guest256: Thank you, Ani. Now let's get to business, shall we? Now we have completed five turns we will be adding new items. They will include the regular Mushroom and the Super Mushroom to add a die or two; an Item Bag that gives you items you won't know until you open them-

Everyone: Ooh...

Guest256: Anyway, and the Wacky Watch, which will set the game forward or back to the last five turns. Now that's out of the way, let's get back to the action. Mario?

Mario: What?

Guest256: It's your turn.

Mario: It is?

Everyone: YES IT IS!

Mario shrugs and bashes a die, revealing a four. Now he is stuck on what path he should take.

Mario: Eeny, meany, miney, mo. Catch a Koopa by the toe. If he hollers, let him go. Eeny, meany, miney, mo. My mama told me to choose the very best one and this is gonna to be it!

Mario points to the straight path and heads to Boo.

Boo: Which person would you like to steal coins from?

Mario: How about Yoshi?

Boo: Coming up.

Ten seconds later...

Boo: That was interesting. I managed to get 18 coins. How discouraging.

Mario celebrates for about two minutes until a shell is thrown at him and he continues to a Chance Space.

Toad: CHANCE TIME, MARIO! You should know what to do?

Mario: What?

Toad: *sigh* Bash three blocks and see what who gives what to who. You did this a few turns ago!

Mario: Okey-dokey.

Mario bashes the three blocks and gets the following: Mario | -> 20 coins | Peach

Mario: Yippee! I won!

Toad: No Mario, you lost.

Mario: Oh. I thought you win if you appear on a block.

Guest256: *sigh* Yoshi, take your turn.

Yoshi bashes the die block and gets a 7. He pays the five-coin bank fee and heads to the Bowser Space.

Bowser: DOOM, DOOM, DOOM! Doom has passed to you, Yoshi. *mumbles* Thank God you're not Peach. *aloud* So let's spin the computer wheel and see what awaits for you.

The roulette wheel spins, slows, and stops on Bowser Revolution.

Bowser: Ah, yes. Bowser Revolution, the time where I show my feelings of equality. I can be a nice guy. Watch me. BOWSER REVOLUTION!

The coin total on the screen show that all the coins are equally divided.

Yoshi: 1 Star, 35 coins
Luigi: 35 coins
Mario: 35 coins
Peach: 35 coins

Bowser: HA! HA! HA! HA! It was a pleasure doing business with you. Later, chum! *mumbles* Oh, yeah, I'm bad!

After Yoshi's encounter with Bowser, Luigi starts his turn with an 8 and advances to a Blue Space. Peach bashes her block and get a 4, and moves to a Red Space.

Guest256: And that brings us to a mini-game. Lesee... it's going to be a 2 vs. 2 mini-game: Yoshi and Peach vs. Mario and Luigi.

Yoshi: Great, I'm stuck with the airhead again.

Guest256: And the mini-game is... Dungeon Dash. Players, to your marks!

Toad: Ready... GO!

The players try to work together, but Peach is too busy huggling Yoshi, and Mario is snacking on pasta in a take-out box.

Luigi: How do you keep those pasta boxes in you?!

Mario: Hey, a plumber's gotta eat.

Luigi: Yeah, I know, I remember when we went to Koopavania. Well, I guess it's better than cheese.

Mario: Cheese! I knew I forgot something.

Yoshi and Luigi: Just move!

Five minutes later, while everyone else is sleeping...

Guest256: Well, we seem to have got ourselves an... *yawn*... interesting race here. We've finally reached the halfway point, and *yawn* it's been a neck-in-neck race. Oh, wait, what? We have some movement from both our teams! I'd like to know what gives, Larry?

At the finish line...

Larry: Well, I'm not sure exactly. Oh, wait, here they come! It looks like a photo finish!

The teams show up at the finish line, while Lakitu takes a picture. Lakitu then hands the picture to Toad. The picture shows Yoshi sticking his tongue out, but not far enough to pass the Marios. Toad and Lakitu huddle.

Toad: DRAW!

Guest256: Oh my, it's a tie. That means nobody wins. Figures. And now, back to Larry with the Interview.

Larry: Thank you, Guest. I would like to ask our contenders: tell me, what's with the sudden burst of speed?

Yoshi: Yoshi tell Princess she can give Mario big smooch at the finish line.

Peach huggles and smooches Mario behind the scene, while Mario struggles until he pushes Peach out of the way.

Peach: What gives?

Luigi: That's why we rushed to the finish line; Mario needed to use the bathroom. He ate too much cheese.

Morton: WEDDING CAKE!

Luigi: No, cheese.

Larry: I didn't no cheese could make you go the bathroom.

Luigi: It can if the cheese is blue and has mushrooms. He thought it was Mushroom Bleu Cheese.

Larry: *with a sweatdrop* Eww... Back to you, Guest256.

Guest256: Thank you, Larry, and now the score stands the same as we approach round 7. Mario, you go... where's Mario?

Lemmy: Bathroom.

Guest256: Oh, right. How long is he going to be in there?

Thirty minutes later...

Mario: I'm-a back! Just had to get something out of my system.

Everyone develops anime sweatdrops as Mario takes his turn as if nothing had happened. He gets a 1 and lands on a Happening Space. The chests atop of the Star begin to mix up. Yoshi takes his turn by hitting a 5 and lands on a Blue Space.

Luigi: Hey, Yosh!

Yoshi: Hey, Wee-Weeg!

Luigi develops another anime sweatdrop, hits his die, and gets a 9. He pays the five-coin bank fee, and lands on a Blue Space. Peach takes her turn and gets a 3, and advances to the same Blue Space as Yoshi. She then hugs and kisses Yoshi.

Guest256: Oh...kay. And with that out of the way, we can advance to a mini-game. First let's randomize the color of Mario's panel.

The screen shows Mario's panel as red.

Guest256: Okay, we have a 1 vs. 3 mini-game: Mario vs. Peach, Yoshi, and Luigi. Now we must pick a mini-game.

The roulette wheel spins and stops at the mini-game, Move to the Beat.

Guest256: Alright, it's Move to the Beat. Everybody ready?

Toad: Hey, that's my line. Everybody ready? If not, too bad. START!

The music starts playing and Mario starts out with basic moves, and everybody follows perfectly. No elimation yet. Then Mario starts playing hardball by developing newer moves. Poor Luigi, with his lack of dancing skills, misses the first beat and is eliminated, while Peach and Yoshi continue as smoothly as before. Now it is the third stanza, and Mario gives all he's got with the most complex moves. But just as he's finished, Peach gets into her silly, smoochy mood, and runs to kiss Mario.

Everyone: Figures.

It is up to Yoshi to win it for his temporary teammates. He copies the first two moves perfectly until he starts to forget the rest, but he manages to guess the remaining moves correctly, winning the competition for his team!

Toad: FINISH! Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi wins!

The crowd cheers for that awesome dance performance from all the players.

Morton: WOW! What a dance! What a contest! Now that's how you move the feet to the beat, and think real fast to remember what the dance master did, and furthermore...

Roy: Aww, SHUDDAP!

Guest256: Thank you, Roy, and Morton, you were right; what a dance-off, which concludes turn 7 with the scores:

The board shows:
Yoshi: 1 Star, 53 coins
Luigi: 55 coins
Peach: 44 coins
Mario: 27 coins

Guest256: Well, Yoshi is showing a stronger lead. Mario will have to take it up a notch if he wants to catch up with the others. Mario, begin turn 8.

Mario: Why do I always have to go first?

Guest256: Because we decided it eight turns ago.

Anikiki: Just be lucky you got to go first, I usually wind up last when playing these games.

Mario: Okey-dokey.

Mario bashes the die and receives a four. He first has to run into an item shop.

Toad: Hey, Mario, care to buy anything?

Mario takes a look at the items, and go googly-eyed at the Item Bag.

Mario: Ooh, cool...

Toad: Ahh, you like the Item Bag. It's very mysterious.

Mario: OOH! OOH! How much?

Toad: 25 coins. Originally it's thirty coins, but since it's a special party, it's five coins off!

Mario: Here you go!

Toad: Thank you.

Guest256: Mario has bought the Item Bag. Wonder what is in that bag?

The bag turns out to contain a Mushroom, a Warp Box, and the Wacky Watch!

Guest256: And it seems that Mario has got some goodies, including the rare Wacky Watch! Twenty coins says he doesn't know how to use it.

Roy: You're on!

Mario advances to a Red Space. Yoshi bashes the die and gets a seven, and lands on the Koopa Bank.

Koopa: Congrats, you got ten coins for landing on the bank!

While Yoshi celebrates, Luigi begins his turn and rolls an 8. He heads forward a couple of spaces until he runs into Boo.

Boo: What can I get for you, Luigi?

Luigi: I would like for you to steal a sSar from Yoshi.

Boo: It'll cost you 50 coins.

Luigi: I got it here. Check the board if you don't believe me.

Boo: I believe you. I believe you.

A few seconds later...

Boo: Here ya go!

Boo hands the Star to Luigi and the crowd cheers. Luigi celebrates his first place achievement, stumbles, and walks to a Red Space. Meanwhile Peach begins her turn. She bashes a 1 and advances to a Red Space as well.

Guest256: And that brings to the mini-game, and we seem to have a 1 vs 3 mini-game, Yoshi vs. the humans. Lessee what the mini-game is goin to be, shall we?

The roulette wheel spins and stops on...

Guest256: Bowl Over. Okay, Yoshi, you ready to knock some pins?

Yoshi: Yoshi ready.

Guest256: Luigi, you wanna use your item?

Luigi: Yes, I do.

Luigi transforms into Raccoon Bowling Pin Luigi.

Toad: Okay! Everybody else ready? Start!

Yoshi aims for the pins while Mario and Luigi go in different directions to avoid being knocked down. After Yoshi bowls the shell, Peach immediately go into action, following Mario and huggling him. By the time she is about to kiss him, she finds herself, Mario, and another pin knocked down. It is up to Luigi to win this. Yoshi takes aim, and bowls. The shell is targeting Luigi.

Luigi: I could duck behind the pins, but I don't think I can make it in time. Besides, I don't want Yoshi to get any more coins. He's got too many. I can only hope I dodge this.

As the shell is inches away from him, Luigi jumps as high as he can, using his raccoon tail to keep him up in the air. Then Yoshi and Luigi find themselves facing each other, standing there.

Toad: FINISH! Mario, Luigi and Peach win!

Guest256: I can't believe it! I thought it couldn't be done. But it seems that anything can happen in these party games, especially when one uses their super item wisely! Now let's check the scores, shall we?

The scores are shown on the board:
Luigi: 1 Star, 12 coins
Yoshi: 63 coins
Peach: 51 coins
Mario: 10 coins

Guest256: And we can conclude turn 8 by announcing that Luigi has taken first place! But I'm sure you already knew that. *mumbles* Just don't want to believe. *aloud* Mario, begin turn 9!

Mario bashes a 9 and advances to the Blue Space where Peach is standing. Peach immediately smooches and hugs Mario. Meanwhile, Yoshi gets a 3 and advances to another Blue Space. Luigi takes his turn and gets a 2, landing on yet another Blue Space. Finally, Peach lets go of Mario and begins to hug the die so hard that she busts out a 6 and advances to yet another Blue Space.

Guest256: Well, nothing out of the ordinary happened here, except that Mario didn't do anything idiotic, but I'll bet that'll soon change as we approach a 4-player mini-game. The game shall be... Mario Bandstand from Mario Party 1! The game's simple: one is the conductor, one plays the trumpet, one plays the drums, and one plays the violin. The one who plays best wins! Players, pick the instrument you think is best!

Luigi takes the trumpet, Yoshi takes the conductor's stand, Peach takes the drums, and Mario takes the violin.

Toad: START!

The Goombas begin playing the first line, a simple four notes. Then the players start. Luigi plays his trumpet perfectly, Yoshi tries to keep up, Mario is singing the word "cheese" to the melody, and Peach is hugging her snare drum despite the fact that the audience is throwing junk at her (and Mario). The whole thing continues throughout the whole song, except that Yoshi starts to get the hang of it. But it doesn't seem to matter as Luigi is awarded 10 coins from the audience.

Toad: FINISH! Luigi is the winner!

Luigi: Yahoo!

Guest256: Well, once again, Luigi has shocked us by taking another win from the other two clowns and Yoshi. Who would have thought Luigi would be gifted with the trumpet?

Larry: I spoke with Luigi before he got onstage. He said that he and Mario were in the school band, but were kicked out because the red fat guy, not to be mistaken as Santa, was eating between stanzas.

Anikiki: Oh, I remembered hearing about that from the Super Mario Brothers Super Show episode "The Pied Koopa".

Guest256: *nods* Thank you, Larry, and our sponsor, Anikiki, for that interesting info. But that still hasn't really changed the standings as Luigi is still in first, and now he has enough coins to fetch a Star. But let's hope there's more as we approach turn 10! Mario?

Mario is too busy to listen to Guest256 as he is looking at the Wacky Watch he got.

Guest256: MARIO, IT'S YOUR TURN!

Mario: Oh, sorry. I just wanna know what is in. It doesn't show the time.

Guest256: Gyaa... just hit the die.

Mario: Okey-dokey.

Guest256: By the way, Roy, you owe me 20 coins.

Roy: Aww, MAN!

Ludwig: Why did you even take that bet WHEN YOU AGREE WITH GUEST?!

Roy: I dunno.

Ludwig sighs at his brother's stupidity. Meanwhile, Mario bashes a 7 out of that die and lands on the Koopa Bank space.

Mario: YIPPEE! I get money.

Koopa: Actually, we don't have money to give to you.

Mario: NOOOO!!!

While Mario screams out in despair, Yoshi ignores him and bashes a 10. He first advances to Boo.

Boo: What can I get you, Yoshi?

Yoshi: Yoshi want you to take Star from that thief, Luigi.

Boo: Coming up.

Guest256: And in a startling upset, Yoshi has retaken first place by taking a Star from Luigi.

Luigi: I'll get that first place back soon enough, dino-breath!

Yoshi: Is that the best Wee-Weegi got?

Luigi: DON'T CALL ME THAT YOU...

Toad: Alright, alright. Yoshi, finish your turn.

While Toad holds Luigi back, Yoshi continues to a Happening Space. The boxes atop the Star then shuffle.

Yoshi: Yoshi think creators of this board aren't very creative.

Ludwig: Well, what do you expect at Toad's house?

Toad: HEY!

Just as soon as Luigi bashes the die, revealing an 8, Toad holds Yoshi back. Luigi then advances to the Star Space. Toad runs from Yoshi to Luigi.

Toad: *pant* Luigi, *pant* care for *pant* Star?

Luigi: Sure.

Toad hands Luigi the Star. Luigi celebrates.

Toad: Don't forget your special item.

Luigi: Oh, yeah. I'll take the middle one.

The middle box reveals a Super Leaf. Luigi takes it and heads toward the fork. Luigi counts the remaining steps on each path and decides to take the right path, landing on an item mini-game.

Koopa: Okay Luigi, you landed on an item mini-game. Since this is the first time this type of event has happened, I'll explain the rules. There are three treasure chests, two will contain items while the third will contain Bowser Jr. Pick a chest and see what you get. Let's see what the items are going to be in two of the three boxes.

Toad walks in with a regular Mushroom and a Warp Box, while Junior walks in behind. Junior hides in one of the chests while Toad puts in the items in each of the remaining chests. The boxes close and get all mixed up.

Koopa: Okay, Luigi. Pick a box.

Luigi picks the far right box, which reveals Junior, who pops out and pushes Luigi's hat down and pulls his suspenders and mustache, leaving his mustache messed up.

Mario: (laughing out loud) Justice is served!

Anikiki: Woah, I haven't seen a move like that since that Super Mario Brothers 3 episode "Oh, Brother". Oh, poor Luigi.

Guest256: Thank you, Anikiki. And poor Luigi indeed as he fails to get an item. And now let's get back to the action.

Peach hugs the die so hard that out comes a 7.

Koopa: Just give me the five coins. That's all.

Peach is too busy hugging Mario to hear what the Troopa was saying. Two Hammer Brothers come in and separate the two "lovebirds". Peach then gives the five coins to the Troopa banker and heads towards a Chance Space.

Toad: IT'S CHANCE TIME, Peach. Don't hug me. Bash three blocks and see what comes out!

Peach: Ooh, look at the pretty dice.

Peach hugs each die so hard that it comes out this: Mario | <=> coins | Luigi

Luigi: Ha ha HA! I told you I would get first place back! Now justice is served!

Mario: So I don't win?

Toad: No, Mario, you didn't win.

Mario groans.

Guest256: And what a startling upset as we approach a mini-game after Luigi has once again taken first place from Yoshi. Speaking of Yoshi, we must see what team he will be joining. RANDOMIZE YOSHI'S PANEL COLOR!

The color of Yoshi's panel changes to different colors until it stops on red.

Guest256: Okay, it will be a 1 vs. 3 mini-game: Yoshi vs. Mario, Peach, and Luigi. And the mini-game they will be playing is... Look Away from Mario Party 2!

Toad: START!

The players get into the music until it stops and they begin to turn heads. Yoshi stops with his head turned upward, Mario has his head turned right (that is where he was when the music stopped), Luigi has his head downward, and Peach has her head pointing up. Peach is eliminated!

Yoshi: This is going to be cake.

Morton: WEDDING CAKE!

Other Koopalings, Guest256, Anikiki: SHUDDAP, ALREADY!

Round two begins with the music playing again. When the music stops, they begin to turn heads. Yoshi repeatedly turns his head and stops with his head to the left; Mario, using the same pattern he used earlier, has his head pointing to the left; while Luigi has his head pointing down again. Mario is eliminated!

Yoshi: Two down, one to go!

The music plays again for a while and stops. Yoshi turns his head to the right while Luigi is trying to be tricky and not move his head at all. No elimination! The music plays for the fourth time and Yoshi winds up turning his head upward, then to the left, and back upward again while Luigi keeps his head still again. No elimination.

Luigi: If I keep tricking Yoshi like this, this match will be in the bag.

Yoshi begins to worry. It has now come to this. The music plays for the last time. Then Yoshi thinks of a plan: Trick the trickster. When the music stops, both don't even flinch. This causes Luigi to be eliminated.

Toad: FINISH! Yoshi wins!

Guest256: Congratulations, Yoshi, on winning that mini-game! Now let's check the scores on the board:

Yoshi: 1 star, 26 coins
Luigi: 1 star, 22 coins
Peach: 49 coins
Mario: 5 coins

Guest256: And it seems we have a neck-in-neck race for first place. Yoshi has just taken the lead from Luigi by four coins, as we finish turn 10! And now that we have finished another five turns, we can add new items, but first a word from our other sponsor!

Lemmy: Hey, out there in cyberspace. I hope you are enjoying this mixed-up party. If you want to find something else to do, but aren't quite ready to leave Lemmy's Land, there's plenty out there, from playing games to hearing stories. Lemmy's Land, making guest comfy for five years! Would you help us to stay strong for another five? Back to you, Guest!

Guest256: Thank you, Lemmy. Both yours and Anikiki's Star Haven Resort are great sponsors.

Anikiki: I didn't know Lemmy was the other sponsor.

Lemmy: Hey, I DID allow this event to happen. You're just there to keep it going.

Anikiki: That's true.

Guest256: Now it's time to announce the new items that will appear in the item bank. These items will include the Boo Bell, which allows a player to summon Boo at anytime; a Genie's Lamp, which will take you to the Star for a slight fee; the Dueling Glove to call someone out in a duel; and the Shy Guy Coin, which will allow a player to choose his or her opponent, or volunteer, to play a Shy Guy mini-game for all the marbles. And with that out of the way, we will start turn 11!

Mario: I think I know how to work this thing. I just push this button, and...

Guest256: MARIO, WAIT! DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW THE WACKY WATCH WORKS?

Mario: Of course, any idiot can operate this thing.

Guest: But you're no ordinary idiot!

Mario presses the button, and pretty soon there is a big flash.

A few seconds later...

Guest256: Well, it seems that Mario has used his item and we seem to have warped to the last five turns. Let's check the scores! Yoshi is in first with 1 Star, 26 coins; Luigi is at a close second with 1 star, 22 coins; Peach takes third with only 49 coins; and Mario is in dead, dead last with a mere 5 coins. Guys, care to change your vote?

Koopalings: NO!

Morton: WEDDING CAKE!

Guest256: Yeah, whatever, and even though we have already just gotten new items, by special request, we will add more new items, since we have reached the last five turns. These items are a Bowser's Suit, which will force a player crossing the one in the suit's path to fork over 20 coins; Boo Spray to get rid of pesky Boos; and the Koopa Bank Card that can be used to be exempt a player from paying the five-coin fee and to take all the money in the bank, if any. Also, since we have approached the last five turns, all Red and Blue Spaces' value will be double and if there is more than one person occupying a space at the same time, a duel mini-game will begin. So let's begin the last five turns!

Roy: Hey, Guest, you owe me forty coins!

Guest256: I beg your pardon?

Roy: Mario managed to get the Wacky Watch working! So that's twenty coins you got from me, plus the other twenty coins you owe me.

Guest256: That doesn't count, Roy. He did it by accident!

Roy: Does it matter?

Lemmy: 'Fraid so.

Roy: WHO ASKED YOU?

Guest256: Guhh... Let's get back to the action.

Mario bashes the die and rolls a 1. He lands on a Red Space. Yoshi takes his turn and gets a 2, just enough to advance to the Star space.

Toad: Yay, Yoshi. Willing to give up 20 coins for a Star?

Yoshi: Yoshi no idiot. Of course.

Toad: Okay, here you go, and don't forget to pick a prize.

Yoshi gets the Star, and he picks the box on the left. It reveals itself to be holding a Fire Flower. Yoshi then finishes his turn by landing on a Red Space. Luigi takes his turn and also rolls a 2. He lands on a Bowser Space.

Bowser: Doom... DOOM... DOOM! Well, well, Luigi, it seems that I will be playing with you for just a little bit. Let's see what our wheel of misfortune brings us today.

The roulette wheel starts to spin.

Luigi: I wonder what happened to that lady that was operating that wheel when we were in that James Bond-ish adventure. {"On Her Majesty's Sewer Service" from the Super Mario Brothers Super Show).

Bowser: Last time I remember hearing from her, she was starring in some fighting video game. I think it was called "Maternal Kumquat" or something. I know it had the letters 'M' and 'K'.

The wheel stops at "10,000 coin present".

Bowser: Uh, uh... hey, is that Miyamoto-san?

Luigi looks for a few seconds, but then turns back to see that Bowser has scurried off.

Luigi: *develops an anime sweatdrop* Figures.

Then it is Peach's turn. She squeezes out a 7 and advances towards Boo.

Boo: Don't bother hugging me, I'm transparent. So what'll it be?

Peach: I wanna steal a Star, (disgruntled) but I'm a coin short. (sweetly) Can't you let this one coin difference go by, pleeeeze?

Boo: No.

Peach: (back to disgruntled) Oh fine. Just steal coins from whoever has the highest besides me.

Boo: Very well.

Boo manages to steal all of Luigi's coins.

Boo: How did I do? How did I do?! I stole 22 coins. Ooh, hoo, hoo, hoo!

Peach celebrates and ends her turn by landing on a Happening Space. The three main chests shuffle.

Guest256: And that brings us to a mini-game, but first we must see what team will Peach be joining.

The color of Peach's panel changes to different colors until it lands on a red.

Lemmy: It's been like that for three whole turns.

Anikiki: Yeah, well, every time I play, when that happens, it usually winds up blue.

Guest256: Either way, we seem to have a 4-player mini-game on our hands. And the mini-game is... The Beat Goes On!

Everyone: Not another beat game!

Guest256: Yes, another beat game, but it is from Mario Party 3! We haven't had one of those games yet. This time you use drums and you can add something at the end of the beat. Yoshi, care to use your item?

Yoshi shakes his head.

Guest256: Okay, then. Take it away, Toad.

Toad: START!

The Shy Guys start out with a simple beat. When it is the players' turn, Luigi and are were playing perfectly. However, Mario is too busy playing with a song of his own... badly, and once again, Peach is too busy hugging the drums. So they are eliminated. Now it is between Luigi and Yoshi. Both players are coming out strong. At the end, Luigi played his perfectly, but Yoshi accidently lost his balance by reaching for the drum from the previous beat and hitting his head on the wrong drum. Yoshi is eliminated.

Toad: FINISH! Luigi wins!

Guest256: Congratulations, Luigi, on that victory. Let's check the scores, shall we?

Yoshi: 2 stars, 0 coins
Luigi: 1 star, 10 coins
Peach: 66 coins
Mario: 0 coins

Guest256: Yoshi still keeps his strong lead, but will Luigi catch up? We'll find out when we approach the last four turns!

Mario: Mario would like to use the Warp Block!

Guest256: Okay, Mario, you can use it.

Mario: How do I use it?

Everybody falls anime style.

Mario: Just kidding... ha ha ha ha ha!

Toad: Mario, you're a pistol.

Mario uses the Warp Box and points to Peach. Mario and Peach have switched places. Mario continues his turn by hitting the die, revealing a 3. He then advances to a Blue Space. Larry comes down to the playing field.

Larry: Mario, your thoughts on why you wish to switch places with Luigi?

Mario: I dunno. I just wanna get rid of an item.

Larry: Oh-kay. Back to you, Guest.

Morton: WEDDING CAKE!

Guest256: Security!

Two Chargin' Chucks grab Morton and escort him out of the announcer's booth. Back at the field, Yoshi takes his turn and gets a 6. He takes the straight path, and runs into Boo.

Boo: Trouble me not if you have no coins. Shoo, shoo!

Yoshi, disgruntled, continues onward to a Blue Space. Luigi takes his turn by hitting a 7 and landing on a Red Space. Peach continues her hugging obsession with the block by squeezing a 2. She first heads towards Toad for a Star.

Toad: Peach, it's about time you got here. And you seem to have enough this time. Care to trade 20 coins for a Star?

Peach: Yes, YES!

Toad: Here you go, and pick a chest.

Peach is so busy hugging her Star, she totally forgot about the chest.

Toad: Uh, hello... HELLO? PLIT TO HER HIGHNESS!

Peach turns around and points to the chest on the right, revealing a Fire Flower. She then continues and lands on a Red Space.

Guest256: And that brings us to a 2 vs. 2 mini-game: Mario and Yoshi vs. Luigi and Peach. The game shall be... Etch 'n Catch, another Mario Party 3 game! Peach? Yoshi? Care to use your item?

Yoshi: (Gaa! Yoshi paired with idiot.) Yeah.

Peach nods.

Guest256: Okay, then. Take it away, Toad.

Toad: Ready... GO!

Mario and Luigi both agree with their partners that they should circle the moving Toad Stamps while Peach and Yoshi fire against their opponents. After a few seconds go by, Luigi and Peach's team manage to catch a Toad stamp. Peach celebrates by herself for a few seconds by hugging her crayon, then goes back to work. Yoshi is having a tough time catching one as Mario is too busy writing his name on the board. Yoshi fires at Mario to snap him out of it. Both players work real hard to catch a stamp, but in the end, only one team manages to catch a single Toad, and that is Luigi and Peach.

Toad: TIME UP! Luigi and Peach win!

Guest256: Congrats to our winning team, and that brings the end of that round with Yoshi in first with 2 Stars, 6 coins; Peach in second with 1 Star, 50 coins; Luigi in third to third 1 Star, 14 coins; and Mario in dead last with only 6 coins. And we are now down to our last three turns.

Mario: Mario like to use his life-line.

Guest256: You don't have a life-line.

Mario: Oh, well, Mario would like to use a Mushroom instead.

Anikiki: Why is he talking like Yoshi?

Lemmy: Cuz he's losing it. I think he may have hit his head on a block too many times.

Anikiki: Yeah.

Mario uses his Mushroom and out appears two blocks. He hits them, and it reads 6 and 6. Mario rolled a double!

Toad: Wow! Way to go! Here's ten coins for rolling a double!

Mario: Yippee! *laugh*

Mario first heads towards the house.

Toad: Hey Mario, care to buy anything?

Mario: Mario would like the Gold Mushroom!

Toad: Coming up, that'll be 10 coins.

Mario hands Toad the coins and advances 12 spaces, landing on the same Red Space as Luigi.

Goomba: Alright, we have ourselves a mini-game. Mario, how many coins are you going to wager?

Mario: ALL OF THEM!

Goomba: Okay then. We will be playing for six coins! The duel is called Pick a Number. I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 100. Pick the number closest without going over and you win.

Everybody falls anime style again.

Roy: WHAT TYPE OF MINI-GAME IS THAT?

Lemmy: You know, you can choose any mini-game from Mario Party 3.

Goomba: Okay, okay. We'll play... Vine Time. First player to cross the jungle using the swinging vines is the winner. Everyone ready to go?

Toad: That's my line! Ready... GO!

And there they go! Mario jumps in immediately and swings, having a fun time, but Luigi, having a fear of heights, has trouble hopping onto a vine until Anikiki grabs a Fire Flower and fires it at Luigi's foot. Then he goes. Back at the booth, everyone stares at Anikiki.

Anikiki: What? He needed to go!

After that little fiasco, neither brother budged for quite some time.

Lemmy: This is Dungeon Dash all over again.

Anikiki: MOVE YOU IDIOTS!

Lemmy: That does it. *dials his cellphone* Goomba... Lemmy. Listen, you got to make a call, if neither move in the next minute, they're disqualified and declare this game a draw.

Goomba: Got it. I knew we should have played my game. ALRIGHT YOU CLODS, LISTEN UP! ORDERS FROM LEMMY! IF NEITHER OF YOU MOVE WITHIN THE NEXT MINUTE, YOU'RE BOTH DISQUALIFIED AND THIS MATCH WILL BE DECLARED A DRAW, CAPICHE?

Mario is too busy having fun with the swing, but Luigi musters the rest of his courage and takes the plunge. As luck would have it, he catches the vine.

Anikiki: Hey, Luigi moved. KEEP IT UP!

Luigi hears Anikiki's cheer and keeps going, slowly but surely until...

Toad: FINISH!

Luigi: What gives? I moved.

Goomba: Yeah, but you brother didn't. Lemmy gave the call, and decided to disqualify Mario. So you win.

Guest256: What a startling upset as Luigi gets Mario's coins. Now it's Yoshi's turn.

Yoshi rolls a 10 and first advances to the Item Shop.

Toad: Hey Yoshi, you wish to buy something?

Yoshi: Yoshi only have enough for a Mushroom. Yoshi take that.

Yoshi gets his Mushroom and advances 9 more spaces towards a Blue Space. Luigi takes his turn and hits a 6. He pays the five-coin bank fee and moves towards a Blue Space. Peach takes her turn and rolls a 3. From there, she approaches Boo.

Boo: What'll it be, your highness?

Peach: I would like to steal a Star from Yoshi.

Boo: Coming up.

A few seconds later, Peach is awarded a Star. She skips towards a Red Space while hugging her newest Star.

Guest256: Okay, Peach, you can stop now. We must play a mini-game, a 2 vs. 2 mini-game: Mario and Peach vs. Luigi and Yoshi. The game shall be Eatsa Pizza from Mario Party 3. Eat as much pizza as you can. Toad?

Toad: Ready? Go!

The teams starts well as Toad gives the mark. However, Mario, with his obsession with cheese, seems to bring the advantage to his team. He does, but only temporarily, as he eats too fast and passes out, leaving Peach to eat for the both of them. This gives Luigi and Yoshi a chance to catch up. Five, four, three two, one...

Toad: TIME UP!

The judges arrive and inspect each pizza to see which team ate more. They huddle and tell Toad their decision.

Toad: The winners are... Mario and Peach!

Guest256: Amazing! Despite being a one-person team for the last several seconds, Peach has managed to keep her team's lead long enough for a well-achieved victory! And now we must look at the leaderboard!

Peach: 2 Stars, 10 coins
Luigi: 1 Star, 26 coins
Yoshi: 1 Star, 12 coins
Mario: 0 Stars, 10 coins

Wendy: YAY PEACH! YOU GO GIRL!

Koopalings except Wendy: Come on YOSHI!

Guest256: Well, this party has becoming more and more interesting, and as we are winding down to our last two turns, it seems there's going to be pandemonium by the time this party's over! So let's begin a new round.

Mario opens with a 7 and advances to the bank, pays the fee, and moves to a Blue Space. Yoshi bashes an 8 and moves to another Blue Space. Luigi begins his turn with a 3 and moves to a Chance Space.

Toad: IT'S CHANCE TIME, LUIGI! You know the drill, now do it!

Luigi bashes the three blocks and reveals this: Peach | ->Star | Mario

Toad: WOW! Talk about a reversal. Mario's bad luck with the Chance Time has made a turnaround as he receives a Star from Peach!

Mario: So I won, yes?

Toad: YES!

Mario: WOOHOO!

Peach: We'll just see about that!

Peach hopes to pull a turnaround and bashes a 9. She only gets a Blue Space.

Guest256: Well, we seem to have got ourselves a REAL match, as all our contenders are eligible for first place! So if I were Luigi, I would watch out! We're doing a 4-player mini-game, and it's going to be... MPIQ?

Everyone: OH NO!

Wendy: This is going to take forever!

Yoshi: Hey, what do you think Yoshi is, chopped liver?

Lemmy: Good point. Yoshi's...

Luigi: What about me?

Peach: And me!

There is a pause.

Toad: Yoshi wins!

Luigi: Hey, that's not fair.

Anikiki: Choose another game!

Lemmy: Sounds fair. Just make sure it's a game that doesn't require much intelligence. Spin the roulette wheel!

The wheel lands on Hot Rope Jump.

Anikiki: YAY! My favorite game!

Guest256: Alright, it's Hot Rope Jump. Players to the Podoboo Jump Rope!

Toad: Ready... GO!

The Podoboos begin to turn at a slow pace, giving each player a chance to jump for a few turns. By the sixth turn, the rope begins to pick up speed. All the players are now focused.

Guest256: That's something you don't see everyday. The players are looking like real athletes.

The rope of Podoboos turns faster and faster and begins to slow again at the tenth rotation. This causes confusion for Mario and Luigi as they develop a case of hot foot. At the twentieth rotation, Peach steps on Yoshi's tail, causing Yoshi to jump uncontrollably and land his foot in the fire.

Toad: FINISH! Peach wins!

Guest256: Congrats, Peach, on picking up that win! This puts Peach in a tie for first place with Luigi. And now it has come to this... THE LAST TURN!

Morton: YAY! WE'RE GOING TO BE FREE, LIBERATED, LET GO, DISMISSED, OUTTA HERE, GONE...

Guest256: SECURITY!

Morton: Not again! Don't bother, I'll let myself out!

So he did, and back at the field, Mario pulls out a Gold Mushroom.

Ludwig: Like that's going to help him. *maniacal laughter much found in the Mario cartoons*

Mario makes his move by getting three 7s!

Ludwig: WHAT?! NO FAIR!

Everyone gasps. Some, like Anikiki and the other Koopalings, faint.

Guest256: This cannot be true. Mario has overcome all odds and pulled a triple-seven! That means he's awarded 50 coins!

Mario celebrates for a few minutes and advances 21 spaces. He first goes to Boo.

Boo: How may I help the legendary Mario?

Mario: I would like a Star.

Mario begins to look around and spots the Koopalings, shaking their fists.

Mario: Hi, guys. I would like to steal a Star from... Luigi!

Luigi: NO!

While Boo fetches a Star from Luigi, Larry comes up to Mario.

Larry: Why did you pick Luigi?

Mario: Because Peach and Luigi are in first place, and Peach gave me all those kisses.

Everyone: Aww...

Boo hands Mario the Star, then Mario moves ahead even more, passse Toad (he doesn't have enough for another Star), ponders on which way to go, chooses the straight path, and heads for the Blue Space. Yoshi, thinking he may be lucky, uses the regular Mushroom he bought, but only winds up with a 4 and an 8. He moves ten spaces before paying the five-coin bank fee, then moves to a Blue Space. Luigi, disgusted over the fact that his flesh and blood betrayed him like that, rolls a 10. He first approaches Boo.

Boo: I don't think I should ask you who's the victim, shall I?

Luigi: Just do what you have to do!

Boo manages to take all of Mario's coins, and gives them to Luigi. He then continues to Toad.

Toad: Hey, you got enough for a Star. Care to take back what's left of you dignity?

Luigi: Sure, and I want the middle chest while you're at it!

Toad: *mumbles* Wow, someone's a grumpy Gus.

Luigi takes the Star from Toad as well as his gift, the Super Mushroom. He then advances to a battle mini-game space.

Goomba: Alright you chumps, it's a battle mini-game! You know the drill, fork over 20 coins this time! ... Hey, hey, hey! I didn't get enough! Oh well, let's see the mini-game... it's Hot Bob-omb! Players, take your positions! Someone set us up a bomb! I've always wanted to say that.

Toad: START!

The bomb's given to Mario. Mario, thinking it was a giant olive, takes a bite, and it explodes in his face. Peach then grabs the Bob-omb and hugs it, unaware that it is about to explode. But when it becomes too big for her to handle, she passes it to Luigi who passes it to Yoshi who passes it to... BOOM! The dust settles, and it's Peach that fell. Another bomb is given to Yoshi who passes it to Luigi. This whole charade goes for a while until... BOOM! Luigi is just a second too slow.

Toad: FINISH! Yoshi wins!

Guest256: And in an explosive match, no pun intended, Yoshi snatches victory with Luigi at a close second! Let's go check the scores!

Mario: 2 stars, 0 coins
Yoshi: 1 Star, 24 coins
Luigi: 1 Star, 13 coins
Peach: 1 Star, 6 coins

Guest256: Mario may have the lead, but I'm sure that will change towards the end. It's Peach's turn.

Peach rolls a 10 and lands on a Blue Space.

Guest256: And it seems to be a real close race as we approach the final mini-game, a 4-player mini-game. It will be Toadstool Titan, from Mario Party 3. Luigi, you have a Super Mushroom. Care to use it?

Luigi nods. Peach, Mario and Yoshi gulps.

Toad: Everybody, ready... GO!

Luigi only needs one step to crush his opponents.

Toad: Uhh... finish. Luigi's the winner.

Ludwig: You know, Miss Anikiki, this was Guest's idea.

Anikiki: Well, it's nice that Luigi won.

Koopalings: Again...

Guest256: Well, that's no suprise there, but then again, with that in mind, we may have ourselves a close race. Here are the scores before we finish the party game:

Mario: 2 Stars, 0 coins
Yoshi: 1 Star, 24 coins
Luigi: 1 Star, 23 coins
Peach: 1 Star, 6 coins

Guest256: And while we are making the final tabulations, I would like to thank our special guests, Lemmy and Anikiki, representing our sponsors, who help make this event happen and keep it going.

A minute later...

Guest256: Okay, we have approached the end, and now, awards must be made. But first, how's about a round of applause for our contenders?

The audience gives a standard applause, nothing big.

Guest256: And now, the awards. First the Mini-Game Star, and presenting the award will be Anikiki.

Anikiki: Thank you. The Mini-Game Star is presented to the one who earned the most coins in mini-games. And the recipient of this award is... Luigi!

Luigi comes and accepts the award.

Luigi: (to Anikiki) Thanks for the advice about the diapers.

Anikiki: (to Luigi) Anytime.

Guest256: Thank you, and now here's our other sponsor, Lemmy, to present our next award.

Lemmy: Thank you, Guest! The next award, the Coin Star, goes to the one who collected the most coins at one time. And the recipient of this award is... Peach!

Peach takes the Star and hugs it.

Lemmy: Should have known.

Guest256: Thank you. And now the final award. I think Toad, our long-time helper, should give this final award.

Toad: Thank you, Guest. This final award is the Happening Star. The Happening Star is given to the one who landed on the "?" Spaces the most. And the award goes to... Yoshi!

The crowd heavily cheers as Yoshi takes the award.

Guest256: And now, here's the best part, the announcement of the winner of what has got to be the craziest Mario Party game ever. And the winner of the Mario Party Mix-Up, by ONE COIN, is... Yoshi!

The crowd is in an uproar, confetti is sprinkled all over the stadium, and all the Koopalings except Wendy celebrate.

Guest256: Well, this has been one great story. And, well, if you were here in person, then consider yourselves lucky for being at one of the best events to have ever happened! I would like to congratulate all of our players, even Mario, for a job well done, with a special congrats to Yoshi, who proved to be the best! I'm Guest256, and on behalf of the Koopas, especially Lemmy, Goomba, Toad, Boo, Anikiki, and our contenders, goodnight!

Here are the final scores:
Yoshi: 2 stars, 24 coins
Luigi: 2 stars, 23 coins
Peach: 2 stars, 6 coins
Mario: 2 stars, 0 coins

The End
