Lemmy’s Game Guides

Bugs

The games in the Mario series are pretty good representations of what really happened here in the Mushroom Kingdom and the surrounding areas, making allowance for technological limitations and embellishments for the purposes of making sales. But the programmers at Nintendo are only human, after all, and sometimes they don't get it quite right. In fact, sometimes they flat out mess things up. If there's an error in a game, you know Nintendo missed it, but there is sure to be a player who's spotted it.

This subsection will include errors found in Mario's games. Whether it be a complicated glitch, a minor error in word play, or a contradiction between several games, this is where you'll find it. If you've spotted a Bug I've missed, Email me! I'll add it here and give you a nice something something in return.

Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins
- Go to the second level of Mario Zone until you get to the spinning pole with a Heart under it. Go more to the right until you reach a pipe you can go through. Go down it, but pause when Mario's going down it, so only part of his body is visible. Then press Select to exit the level. You can now go to any level on the map to trigger the glitch, which makes Mario fall through the floor and causes 1 of 2 things to happen, depending on the level. First, you could just fall into a large, white void. Second and better, you could fall into a debug room with random sprites cluttered all over. If you go into this cluster of sprites, a series of strange things can happen. You could rapidly gain tons of coins, die, have the game reset on you, complete the level, and more. Spotted by Sgt. Fly.

The Lost Levels
- In level C-4, towards the beginning of the course is a small stretch with a Firebar on the end and a long gap with moving lifts. When the coast is clear, jump up when you're one block past the brick ceiling to sprout a Mushroom from an invisible block. Don't get it. Now hop up on top of the block that the Mushroom came out of and wait for a lift to come by. Jump on it when it's just a little above halfway down. If you time your jumps right, you can hop on the last row of moving lifts when one is high up. From here you can jump on top of the brick ceiling. If you walk to the right, you can get stuck up there because there are no gaps in the ceiling and you can't go back to the left. Since C-4 is a recycled version of 7-4, you can probably do it there too. Spotted by Double D. Click here to see this glitch in action.
- In World 3-3, the first time you reach the first lift on ropes, stay on the first platform rather than jumping. Both you and the platform will go down off the screen, but come back on the top of the screen on a small piece of rope. When your platform reaches the original rope it was on, the second platform will fall as well. This will work once, until you need to continue. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In any level with a Fire bar, if you make the screen scroll halfway over the block the Firebar is attached to while the Firebar itself is still on screen, it will disappear! It looks really weird with the larger Firebars. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In world 4-2, you will sometimes jump through the vine instead of grabbing on. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In world 7-2, right at the start with the platform that goes right, allow it to push you to the right side of the screen by getting in front of it and stopping. It will go right through you, and then the screen will scroll with you on the very right edge, so you cannot see where you are going. To get the screen to scroll normally, move Mario/Luigi to the middle again, and the screen will go back to assuming that as the pole position. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In worlds such as 6-2 and 3-2, the current of the water conflicts and Mario will sort of vibrate between the two conflicting parts. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.

Luigi's Mansion
- At the beginning of the game, after you pick up the key the ghost drops in the Foyer, Luigi puts his flashlight on his back before grabbing the large key. However nothing is holding it there. It's like the Poltergust is on his back, but it's not (not yet). Then when he takes it off his "invisible Poltergust", you hear the sound it makes when he has the Poltergust on. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- Nintendo really seemed to forget a slight detail in the plot. Mario left articles of clothing behind, his cap, a glove, and a shoe. I honestly don't think he would bring extras with him, but in his painting, you can clearly see he is wearing his cap and both gloves, and when he is ejected out of the portait machine in the lab, he is also wearing both shoes! Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- According to Chauncey's biography in the Gameboy Horror, Chauncey was born as a ghost. But if you go the Nursery, you can see pictures of him as a human. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- If you examine a portrait ghost's heart the instant they dissapear, the heart's shadow will remain on the wall, and if you move around the Gameboy Horror, the heart's shadow will move along with it. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- Try this where there's a mirror nearby with clothes on the back wall. I suggest the Wardrobe Room. If you vacuum up clothes or wardrobes, they will shake. However, when you see clothes or a wardrobe in the mirror, go back and try to vacuum them up- they don't shake at all! Spotted by Denny W. Koopa.
- While capturing Melody, pause as soon as you get her in suction. You will hear the dramatic song she plays after you answer her quiz, even though there's no one on the piano. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- After the cutscene where Luigi discovers what happened to Mario, he'll still shout Mario's name when you press A. Spotted by Pichu.
- In the music room, after you activate all of the instruments and make them play the SMB overworld, if you uncover a Boo in the room, if you lose or catch it, the instruments will still be making the notes appear, yet the music is gone! Spotted by Pichu.
- This is very hard to pull off. First go into the Twins' Room while it's still dark. Then shake the bed and a Money Ghost should emerge. Now, this is where it gets hard. You have to make the Twins appear just as the Money Ghost hits 0 HP. If executed superbly, the Money Ghost will pour out money, yet still be there while you have a brief chat with Henry and Orville. It will be flying there waving its arms. Flashlights or the elements don't work! He disappears after you leave the room. It may work if you mess with the stuff and ignore the Money Ghost flying in the room, but I'm not sure... Spotted by Fly Guy.
- When you shoot fire, water, or ice out of your Poltergust 3000, the blast you're making doesn't show up in mirrors! Spotted by Fly Guy.
- If you lose the last of your health by opening a fake door, after "Good night!" appears on the screen, Luigi deflattens, but stands back up, although he should still be down on the ground. Spotted by Super Mario.
- During the blackout, go to the bottom of the well and go to the very right and watch the miniature version of the cutscene where Luigi sees King Boo looking at the Mario painting. You will see the lights are on. After the cutscene if you look carefully the lights in the same room are off and King Boo isn't there either. Spotted by Popple Koopa.
- Ok, this one is hard to pull off. When you capture your 50th Boo try to stand at the exact spot the Golden Diamond will land. If you do it correctly Luigi will have the diamond attached to his hand while talking to E. Gadd on the GB Horror. And don't worry, you'll get the diamond when you're done talking. Spotted by Larry.
- When you light the candles in the Mirror Room, you won’t see the fire in the mirror. Spotted by doopliss’ twin.
- Once you've cleared the first hallway, go to the courtyard and go back inside again through the same door you used to go outside. While Luigi is opening/closing the door to go inside the cleared hallway, the "haunted mansion" music will play when it's supposed to be Luigi's whistling! This also works if you go from outside the mansion to the Rec Room, except you'll hear ghosts murmuring when Luigi's entering the room. Spotted by Ness vs Mario.
- Go up to a fake door and spray fire on it. It will slowly disappear. Right before it completely disappears (you should only see a shadow of the door on the wall), press A to open the door. You should get slammed against the wall, by nothing! Spotted by Ness vs Mario.

Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time
- When the four Marios encounter Kamek in Baby Bowser’s Castle, he creates a Goomba in the field for you to fight, but when you automatically enter the battle, it’s a Boo! Plus, at this stage of this game, Boo is supposed to be faster than Mario and Luigi, yet in this tutorial of how to fight piggyback, both Bros. will attack first.
- When you use baby cake at Star Temple’s final puzzle, get under a small space, and jump up. If you look close enough you can see the edge of the Brothers' hats as if they were big! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- If you jump on a baby spring pad just as they are about to leave the baby cake form, the brothers will disappear! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In Superstar Saga, Bowser called the Koopa Cruiser his “newest weapon”. But in this game, he already has it! Hasn’t Bowser got a new weapon since then? Spotted by jeffrey.
- For the description of the Para-Slacks, it says they were made with Parakoopa wings, which, like the version of this glitch in PM2, is the incorrect name for the enemy. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- After you beat Bowser at the end of the game, keep your eye on Baby Peach during the cutscene after the defeat of Bowser. If you look at her when the Toadsworths are spinning, her carriage moves a little bit all by itself. Spotted by E-Man.
- In the tutorial on how to fight piggyback, Stuffwell is talking, but his mouth isn't moving. Spotted by Paraboo.
- After you beat Sunnycide, you can still go into Yoob's Belly. Well, go back in there and throw off the Babies immediately. Walk towards the Spring Pad, but DON'T jump on it. The Babies should go UNDER the spring pad! Found by Pokefan.
- You know how in one point of Super Mario RPG, Toad will walk through you? Well, it's in reverse here. How to do it: Make Mario jump while moving forward in front of ANY Toad in Princess Peach's Castle. Mario will go over him, but Luigi will go through poor old Toad! Doesn't he get tortured enough in Luigi's Do-It-Your-Stinkin'-Self? Yeah, I think so. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In Baby Bowser's Castle, in one of the rooms with blue pipes, you can throw the Babies up onto the save album. As usual, they will slide off. But if you threw them from the right of the album, they (or just Baby Mario) slide into the lava! Now they can walk up and down on the lava! Spotted by Metal Piranha.
- When you learn the Baby Cakes and the Baby Spin, you have to rescue Baby Peach from a hole in the castle. When you find her, don't walk up to her. Instead go around her from her side on the top and go to her. Baby Luigi should walk right through her! Spotted by Metal Sonic.
- In the battle with, Princess Shroob, um... Well, you know that attack where she gets out those robotic legs on her shield? Well, if she does it to Luigi, look closely at the back leg. Mario and Baby Mario go through it and behind it several times! Spotted by Super Mario.
- After you fight Bowser and Baby Bowser in Thwomp Volcano, you can't  see the bridge to the blue pipe when Bowser it going back to the present. It's possible to not hit it and not make the bridge, but either way you don't see it. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- In the tutorial on how to use hammers, when it's Baby Mario's turn to defend, let go of X before the Hammer Bro. tells you and the gameplay will stop! Spotted by Toadette.
- Go to Toad Town and on the left side there should be 2 houses. Go to the northern one and you should see two ways to get into the house by digging. In between them is a post with a west side and a north side. Dig and go straight into the post, and you'll be on top of the house. From there you can go on the tall grass! Spotted by Pig koopa.
- If you look through the credits, you'll see scenes from the game in the order in which they happened. Here's the thing: after the scene in Yoob's Belly, you'll see the Toadsworths spinning in front of Baby Peach in the next scene. You never see the Toadsworths spinning in the pre-Gritzy Desert stage; that scene should've been placed before the Yoshi's Island scene! Spotted by Your Twin the Fourth.

Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga
- When you use Mario's Fire Tickle to knock one of those big Troopas over in field mode, if Mario and Luigi would have kept going if they had not run into the Troopa, then after they hit it, the sound effect of Mario and Luigi running keeps going. Spotted by Double D.
- When Bowletta kidnaps Peach, Luigi shouts "Mamamia" - in Mario's voice. Spotted by Extreme nintendo master.
- At Beanbean International Airport, Mario talks to Lady Lima in Luigi's voice. Spotted by Axemblack97.
- After defeating Iggy, if you use Fire Tickle to run into that portal thing where Iggy was standing, Mario and Luigi will walk in place frozen like that and all you can do is shut off the game. Spotted by William.
- After  Iggy spins around Mario and Luigi, if you press the directional pad as Iggy jumps to the other side of the room, the Mario Bros. will travel in that direction, not a different direction, until the screen comes back to them. (One would think that the Bros. would have become dizzy by the time Iggy finished spinning around them.) Spotted by William.
- If you go to an area with different music as either Mini Mario or Mole Luigi, in some cases the music will not change. The weird thing is that the music goes back to the beginning of the track. The track will change
once you go into another area with different music. Spotted by Jeffrey.
-Nintendo added a secret to giving you coins. Here's a quick rundown of it:
1. Make Mario mini
2. Make Luigi use high jump
3. While L is in the air, make M jump
4. Luigi loses one health segment, but one coin pops out!
BUT... that was added on perpose! So this is not the glitch! The glitch is...
Use the coin trick in Fawful's room in Bowser's Castle. Oddly, the Bros. vanish and the game freezes! Look at the yellow spots in the lava; they don't move, weird. My guess is that Nintendo forgot to add the pose Luigi makes in that certain room, and when you do it the game detects the missing data there, causing it to freeze. Spotted by GlitchGuy2.
- After you defeat Popple and Rookie for the Beanstar and fall off from its rage, the Bros. will fall to the ground of the Oho Island. Luigi will pop up and call for Mario. The first time he will call in his own voice, but the second time he calls in Mario's. Spotted by Koopiana Jones.
- During the Lemmy battle in Bowser's Castle (or, should I say, Bowletta's Castle), wait for him to attack you in his shell. It should be as big as his siblings' shells, even though he's clearly smaller. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In Woohoo Hooniversity, right before the fight with Cackletta, when Luigi hits Fawful with his hammer, it has the dunk effect of Mario's hammer instead of Luigi's own flattening effect. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- If you hit Bowser with your hammer after you kill Cackletta, the hammer goes right through him. Spotted by goombuster.
- When fighting Bowletta, when she breathes flarets at you, after she is done, for a split second, you can see your dodge action command change from jump to hammer even though there is nothing to hammer counter! Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- Remember after you "defeat" Bowletta, you get sucked into her belly and are revived with 1HP left.  Now the part that doesn't really make sense by concept is why your BP goes back up to maximum.  The reason is simple. Because after defeating boss battles, your stats go back to maximum, now here, it just wasn't completely fixed. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- When drinking Teehee blends, make sure you take off that Cobalt Tie (which doubles statche stat), because either way, you only get four additional statche points, and because of that, if you so happen to remove the tie at another point, you'll see that you only really gained two points! Same with Teeheesspresso if it raises that stat (from six to three). Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- When fighting Hoohooroos, I had my Bounce Bros. move trained enough to get the advanced command that allows you to hit two enemies at once with normal jumping strength. As you should know, the pillars that protect Hoohooroos have 2 HP. No problem for the advanced command if you can nail it. So anyway, I targeted the pillar that Hoohooroos was hiding under. Luigi destroyed that pillar while Mario destroyed the other. That was correct so far. The odd part was how Hoohooroos responded. Somehow, by some glitch, both the pillars reapeared, but in a glitchy manner of the pillar sprites dissapearing and reapearing. The graphical error was only 10% of the error. It is the fact that the game acted as if I never hit the pillars at all, and Hoohooroos I believe hid under the same pillar anyway after all that rigamorale. Yeah, the only evidence that I had hit the pillars was the fact that I was missing some BP. So if you intend to speed up the battle by using Adv Bounce Bros, be very sure to have Luigi target the pillar Hoohooroos is NOT under. Found by Trollish Beastfighter.
- When Mario and Luigi get hand massages from Merri and Gigi (Jellyfish Sisters), Mario will accidentally charge up his Hand Power. While charging up, it sounds like Luigi charging up his Hand Power instead. Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- After you get the hammer, go down the mountain and you will see a flaming rock. If you touch it the Brothers won't make any sound, but if you fill Mario with water and then touch it, he makes the sound. Spotted by joseph koopa.
- Make Mario tiny, then go to the cafe and get any drink. When Mario holds the drink he will be big, then when he puts it away he will be tiny again. Spotted by Shade.
- You can't do the Luigi dunk on metal. However, when Luigi is able to dunk Fawful even though he's on metal! Found by Yosh4000.
- When you're in Beanbean Airport, make one of the Piranha Plants fill up with water, then use High Jump when you're on either the left or right side of the Piranha Plant. This won't work if you're in front of or behind it. When you use High Jump, try to jump over the Piranha Plant. Afterwards the Bros. should be on opposite sides of the Plant. Then if you try to move Mario, Luigi will go through the Piranha Plant. Spotted by Optorking2.
- If you have Luigi in front, go inside the Mushroom Embassy in Little Fungitown. If you walk up to the front desk, the Toad behind it talks to Luigi without pressing a button! Spotted by luigiluvr.
- Before you battle Bowletta, have Luigi make Mario small with his hammer, then go to Bowletta. When she starts spitting fireballs, Mario will be normal size all of a sudden! Spotted by Toadette.
- When you "defeat" Bowletta, watch Luigi's feet, they go the opposite way Luigi is spinning! Spotted by Toadette.
- When fighting Popple and Rookie for the first time, just ignore Rookie and defeat Popple. When he's dead, beat Rookie up until he breathes fire. After he says that it's spicy there will be a pause as if Popple is still there! Spotted by larry.

Mario Kart Arcade GD
- If you hit a wall as you throw a Banana, the banana will be thrown forward, but you can't through Bananas forward in this game! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.

Mario Kart: Double Dash
- In a Balloon Battle go to Pipe Plaza. Place your kart right in front of one of the pipes so if you're hit you will fall backwards. If you are hit while sitting there you will fall backwards into the pipe but come out of the corresponding pipe without losing a balloon. Spotted by Green Yoshi.
- In Rainbow Road, at the round part with dash panels, if you drift and let go right when you are going to end the round part, you must fall, use a Mushroom, and point your kart toward the road. Strangely, your kart will rejoin the race. Spotted by Princess Daisy.
- In Luigi Circuit, turn around at the start, use a Mushroom to boost up the ramp on the left, and jump at the top. If you do it right you'll fly off the course, fall through a hill in the background, and eventually get placed back on the course backwards. Spotted by GlitchGuy2.
- In Shine Runner if you drop a thunderbolt at the same time that the clock runs out and it declares you the winner, look at the thunderbolt, its shine will have moved way to the left of the object. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.

Mario Kart DS
- When you go to Desert Hills and unlock the staff ghost data, race against it. The ghost is R.O.B. This R.O.B, however, has red arms instead of gray. Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- If you play Bowser's Castle in VS. mode as the first track to race, look in the bottom left hand corner. Your current position says you’re in 7th place, when you’re actually in 8th place! Spotted by Klast.
- In the Waluigi's Pinball course, if you are squashed between a pinball and a flipper (when it hits the ball), you will fly upward, far above the course. Spotted by Shane.
- On Rainbow Road, I threw a Bob-omb over a player. It exploded in midair! And the character went flyin' up towards it! Spotted by Dry_Bonerangs.
- I went to Airship Fortress and went backwards through the crate room (not in reverse, I just u-turned). Lakitu showed his "Turn Around" sign, but I went next to a crate and it knocked him away! This works in most tracks wih obstacles. Spotted by Dry_Bonerangs.
- Remember when I mentioned that Big Bob-omb often throws bombs into himself when you are facing away from him? There is yet another
glitch that makes it even EASIER to beat him and get three stars! So let's assume you've boosted into him from the start and collected the Bob-omb on the right, by then he should throw a bomb into himself. You throw the Bomb you have into him as he gets up. Now the glitch is how to hit him a third time and still get three stars. By now, he should jump up very high. Three bombs drop from above in a triangle formation, and an item box is in the middle of the triangle. Collect the item there, and you get a bomb. The bombs around you should explode without hurting you. By now, Big Bob-omb will land on you, crushing you. This causes you to drop your item, which then
immediately explodes and kills Big Bob-omb. Even though you technically have taken damage twice (which should bring your rank to one star normally), you still have three balloons and win with three stars! You must try this even if the boss is easy without using glitches. This method of beating him is hilarious and very easy to perform in real time. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.

Mario Kart 64
- In Block Fort, you can run into the tip corner of any block on the ground level and sometimes fall into a black area and land in water. I was embarrassed and shocked when this first happened to me. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- Enter Battle Mode, and choose Block Fort. Play as Bowser, Wario, or Donkey Kong, and have a friend play as Toad or Peach. Have your friend place Toad/Peach against the far wall, and then collect a Starman. Now ram him/her head on against the wall with the Starman power activated. This will usually smash Toad/Peach into a black area with water, but instead of losing two balloons, he/she only loses one! If done just as the Starman power runs out, Bowser/Wario/DK will be in the black area too. Spotted by Kody.
- In Battle Mode, if you have a Red Shell, shoot it directly off an edge. Instead of falling down, it will stop and spin in place! Not only that, it will have a blue aura around it! Spotted by Kody.
- Enter Mario Grand Prix, and play as Yoshi. Enter the Star Cup and play all the way to Bowser's Castle. Grab an item box and get the Fake Item. Now have Yoshi drive into the lava. When Lakitu places Yoshi back onto the track, the item box will have disappeared! However, it is actually still there, and once you release Z the item will become visible again. Weird... Spotted by Kody.

Mario Party Advance
- In the minigame Mush Rush, if you make a Koopa Kid role away he should knock all the ones behind him away, but if a blue Koopa Kid is on his back he won't fly away until after getting up. Spotted by Iggy_Koopa.

Mario Party DS
- Watch closely during the ending credits. When it comes to the voice actors, instead of putting Dolores Rogers (Bowser Jr's voice actress), Nintendo put "Delores"! Spotted by Twin the Fourth.

Mario Party 3
- If you check the sound test, for Toad, instead of Disappointment, it says Diappointment. Spotted by Dimentio.

Mario Party 6
- In the mini-game Snow Brawl, the rules say that there are three Ukikki/Shy Guys to aid the lone player, but the strange thing is that there are four in the mini-game. Spotted by Kammy.

Mario Party 7
- The description of the Shopping Bonus Star says that it is awarded to the player who buys the most orbs; but in fact, it is awarded to player who spends the most money on orbs.

Mario Party 8
- In Koopa's Tycoon Town, sometimes the Koopas will sound like Goombas! Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- In the mini-game Water Ski Spree, the rules say Shy Guy throws you the coins, but he only throws Spiny Eggs. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- When Captain Shy Guy speaks to you in Bowser's Warped Orbit, he makes a Goomba-like sound. Given he's an alien, this could have been done intentionally. But when you press A on his figurine in the Fun Bazaar, he makes a regular Shy Guy sound. Spotted by Super Mario.
- If you play Pickpocket Pinball at King Boo's Haunted Hideaway and land in the center, the Mowz will sound like King Boo's disappointed voice! Spotted by Black Boo.

Mario Power Tennis
- In the movies (mainly the opening movie) to this game, there are many moments where things will go right through other things. For example, when the Wario Bros. fall into Bowser's gym, and Bowser hears them and turns around in his chair, then stands up, watch his tail the whole time; when he stands up and walks toward Wario and Waluigi, his tail will go right through the chair, as if it were not there. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- In the opening movie, when Bowser has the tennis ball shooter go off, showing the Warios how to practice to get good at tennis, the balls shoot out of their tubes, but before Bowser can hit them, the screen cuts to see the Warios, then when it cuts back, you should expect to see Bowser hitting the already shot out tennis balls; but here's the mistake: according to this scene, the balls hadn't been shot out just before the Warios were shown. Instead, Bowser waits a quick second, and it is then that the tennis balls are shot out. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.

Mario Superstar Baseball
- On Bowser's field, if you hit a foul ball, the ball may fall in a lava pit. However, the ball does not sink in the lava! Spotted by Denny W. Koopa.
- When a Star Challenge says "more than" - for example, cross the plate more than twice in a game - it really means "at least".
- During the intro video, when Mario points his bat to left field, there is no one else visible on the field. It may be because they want to focus on where Mario will hit the ball, but it still seems odd that there is no third baseman or left fielder. Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.

New Super Mario Bros
- In World 2 Castle when you get to the desert part at the last switch, after you press it the timer music will start and then stop. Spotted by Mario Koopa.
- When you play the main game as Luigi (by holding L and R as you press A whenever you enter your file), not surprisingly, the player-controlled character looks and sounds like Luigi, including his various Luigi-specific phrases. But close and open the DS, and you'll still hear Mario's voice. "It's-a me, Mario!" it'll say as you return. Really...? You have anything you want to tell me, Luigi?
- Hit the flagpole while there is an enemy onscreen. The points from the flagpole will remain in midair rather than disappear. Spotted by lilboo.
- In the Danger, Bob-omb, Danger! minigame, get as many points as you like and die. Even though the fireballs on the bottom screen freeze entirely, the Bowser Statue and its flames still move. Spotted by Pokefan.
- In the pictures for the Table minigames Picture Poker and Pair-a-Gone, you can see cards that doesn’t exist in the games! Spotted by jumpman.
- In the last boss battle, you can walk straight through Peach and her platform! Spotted by Jumpman.
- If you hold anything and stand on a rotating platform, they act like normal platforms except that they rotate! Spotted by Jumpman.
- If you are mini (or maybe small) and climb up as high as possible on a "swinging bar", and then swing back and forth, you'll swing backwards! Spotted by Jumpman.
- If you swing back and forth as Shell Mario/Luigi, his legs point out of a part of the shell that isn't the leg holes! Spotted by Jumpman.
- Mario has no shadow on the overworld, but the flying ? Blocks do! Spotted by Jumpman.
- In 6-B, when one of the purple mushrooms is falling over, it looks basically like this. That is, the stem is weird. Spotted by Jumpman.
- In world 2 castle, go to the ledge about halfway through the outdoor part (the one with a cannon and a ? Switch). Crouch, then jump onto the cannon and next to the ? Switch. Crouch-jump toward the wall, and in midair let go of crouch and quickly press it again. You should go THROUGH the wall like there's a conveyor belt inside! Spotted by Dry_Bonerangs.
- On page 12 in New Super Mario Bros. manual, the screenshot shows Mario on the map... while the picture used the beta version of the "touch world menu". Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- Most of the time I'm goofing off whenever I finish a game, and this is a weird little thing. Go into World 6-B when you're Mini Mario and there's a red box that contains a random item. Since Mini Mario is so small, whenever he get's into a Warp Pipe Launcher thingy, he goes about 5 times further. Go into the pipe at the beginning of the level, and Mini Mario will be launched up into the air. The red box will fly across the screen above the area of land where Mario is supossed to be. Anyways, Mario will go way up into the screen, and he won't come back for a few seconds. The red box that was floating across the screen will disappear! Whenever you complete the level (as whatever), the box in 6-B on the map screen will be gone. Here's the thing though, you never opened it up or anything, and it would normally still be there, only going to a new level if it wasn't opened. But it appears that it was opened. Spotted by Extreme Yoshi.

Paper Mario
- At the end of Chapter 3 when you fight Jr. Troopa in Forever Forest, he calls himself Jr. Koopa. Spotted by Koopaling14.
- In the battle between Peach and Twink vs. Kammy Koopa, when Twink knocks Kammy out and she falls on the ground unconscious, the outline under her mouth will sometimes dissapear. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- When Watt gets ultra-upgraded it says Watt is a he instead of a she. Spotted by Koopaling Josh.
- If you are in the secret room in Tubba Blubba's Castle with the three weakened floors leading to the room with the spring on the first floor, and you have Parakarry out, when you ground pound the top right weakened floor, Parakarry will change to Mario as Mario falls through the floor. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- If you fight Kent C. Koopa with Goombario out and during battle you change to Watt, when the battle's over Watt will be looking the opposite direction. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- When you fight Super Blooper, if you use jump and time the action command right, when Mario jumps in the air again he'll disappear. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- Talk to Kolorado's wife from the left with Parakerry out and he'll hit the chair and will keep trying to fly left during the entire conversation. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- If you use Star Storm to win a fight with Parakarry out, he'll freeze up during the attack and stay frozen until all the Star Points are added up. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In the hedge maze in Flower Fields, if you have Watt out as you enter the maze all you'll see of her is one thunder bolt, but if you enter it from the other side you can see half her face. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- Before the pathetic battle with the Koopa Troopas and the Bob-omb, pay attention to the Koopa that's speaking. His mouth isn't moving when he speaks! Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- You know how before the worst (and easiest) battle in the game, the Koopa Troopa's mouth doesn't move? Well, it's in Bowser's Castle, too. Right before the battle with the Koopatrols (who fear Mario for some reason) and Magikoopa (Kamek?), the Koopatrols' mouths won't move when they speak and rant about fearing Mario, while Kamek's? mouth does! How many times do I have to say that when someone speaks, their mouth should move? Found by Pokefan.
- After you beat Bowser, the billboard in Toads Town names Mario and his partners. I didn’t know he had one named Lady Boo! Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- During the cutscene after defeating the Goomba King, Bowser indirectly states that the closest Star Spirit to Mario is in Koopa Bros. Fortress. However, in terms of blocks (the often octagonal parts of the overworld), the distance from just outside Toad Town (where Mario is at the time) to the outside of the fortress is nine blocks. Shy Guy's Toy Box, however, is five blocks away (seven if you count the two rooms in the house that contains the Toy Box). So why would Bowser think that Koopa Bros. Fortress is closer? While there is debris blocking Mario's path to the Toy Box at this point, it is doubtful that either Bowser or Kammy would know about it since Bowser spends nearly all of the game in Peach's castle and Kammy has been observing Mario at that time. Spotted by supercomputer276. Lemmy adds: The Star Spirit in Flower Fields may also be closer, at least by panels. Of course this doesn't count the fact that Mario must travel around the world to find those seeds, and then travel throughout Flower Fields in order to get up to the sky.
- When Peach deposits an item in the magical chest in the castle storeroom, the message confirming the deposit doesn't have a period on the end. Spotted by supercomputer276.
- When Peach's castle rises into the sky, Peach looks out the window and says that she can't see any stars out. She must be as blind as a bat because you can see plenty of stars! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In Goomba Village, right before you leave with Goombario, Goompapa will say that you’re not wearing the badge he gave you... but he wasn't the one who gave it to you! Goompa was the one who gave it to you! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In the VC version of Paper Mario, during the classic "Mario falling asleep to the wizard's long tale" scene, when Mario wakes up he'll shake his head yes... but his head glitches halfway through it, making it look like he's giving an extra head nod to Merlon. Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In the Koopa Bros' Fortress, after you lower the stairs so you can blow up the wall and grab the caged key, look closly at the hole you came from. You can still see the scar that showed you could blow up the wall! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- When you have Parakarry out and you go to Mario's house for the first time, Luigi will act like he has never seen Parakarry, but he's their mailman! Spotted by multiss guy.
- I defeated Tutankoopa when he was on the ground after he'd fallen when he hit himself with his own attack (moron...). However, during the cutscene after his defeat, he fell from his platform! Spotted by Joshua.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
- In Chapter 8, when you go up to the big device in the building containing the eight Palace Keys, if Gonzalez Jr. is your current partner, he will say, "Mario! Look at that!" even though he usually calls him "Gonzales". Spotted by Super Mario.
- In the Tattle Log, there is a period behind Vivian's stats. No other enemy has this. Spotted by Super Mario.
- In the Tattle Log, KP Koopa's defense stat says "Defense is 1" instead of "Defense: 1". Spotted by Super Mario.
- When you Tattle on a Paragloomba, Goombella will say it's a stronger version of a Parakoopa. The correct name of the enemy is Paratroopa, and even then it seems that Goombella really has Paragoomba in mind. Spotted by Super Mario.
- If you are wearing a W Emblem or L Emblem badge and sell it, your clothes will stay that color until you leave the area. Spotted by VGMaster64.
- In the Tattle Log for Spinia, the colon and the three have no space between them, unlike with all the other tattles. Spotted by Dark Koopa.
- In the Tattle Log, "Various" is written for the location were you fight Kammy Koopa, meaning you fight her in several locations. However, that is incorrect, as you only fight her once. Spotted by Jr. Troopa.
- When you go to Rogueport Sewers with Goombella and Prof. Frankly, you encounter a trio of Goombas that you have to fight. One of them is a Spiky Goomba. In the battle, the prof. says "The only one I should warn you about is the Spiny Goomba". Spotted by Jr. Troopa.
- In the Tattle Log, there's a period after Lakitu's HP, unlike with most of the other tattles. Spotted by Dark Koopa.
- When you're in the X-Nauts' locker room as 8-bit characters, if you have Vivian out and run, her shadow will be way behind her. Spotted by Pennington.
- When you're on the moving stairs at the start of X-Naut Fortress, if you run halfway up and stop, your partner will still be running in place. Spotted by Pennington.
- Go to the menu, and check on your partners. Normally when you're checking on a specific partner, said partner will start moving, while the others ones completely freeze. This doesn't seem to stop Vivian though, as her stem keeps moving. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- When you get to the Bowser cut-scene after finishing Chapter One, you notice that when he touches a wall, face forward, his face seems to go through it. Spotted by Antwan.
- Ok, this is a bit weird but it's true! When you're battling Doopliss for the final time in Chapter 4, if you win with Doopliss's partner burned by Vivian (I tried it with Koops) and get a level up after beating them, then while you choose which stat to upgrade, Doopliss' partner's burn symbol will still be there! To get rid of it, just level up. Spotted by Extreme nintendo master.
- In Chapter 2, when the Punies join your party for the chapter, you will notice that they don't make any noise. Look closer to see their legs aren't moving, although the Punies are moving anyway. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In the Tattle Guide, look at Mini-X-Yux's Attack. Instead of "Attack: 0", it will say "Attack is 0". This bug is kind of similar to the KP Koopa glitch, but about Attack instead of Defense. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- When you tattle on Rawk Hawk, Goombella will say that his Defense is 1, however, his Defense is 0. This also appears in the Tattle Log. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- When you follow Mayor Dour to his house after you first arrive in Twilight Town, if there's a pig in the way, Mario will walk right through it. Spotted by Kyoni Yoshi.
- In Chapter 8, get into the Shadow Sirens fight. Wait for Marilyn to raise her attack points. It will say that her attack points were raised by 7, but, in fact, her attack points were raised by 13! Weird. It should have said 13 instead of 7! Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In the first chapter, wait until Koops joins you. When Koopie Koo is trying to convince Koops to stay in Petalburg instead of going to Hooktail Castle, she will say Hooktail is a he. Then later, when you tattle on Hooktail during the boss fight, Goombella will say that Hooktail is an it. To find out Hooktail's true gender, fight your way to Chapter 8 and go to Gloomtail's room; he will reveal Hooktail's true gender before battle. The second part of the bug also appears in the Tattle Log. Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In the Tattle Log, there are three enemies that have a period after their Defense. The three are Vivian,  Moon Cleft, and Lakitu. Lakitu also has a comma after his HP. Spotted by Pokefan.
- When you use Tattle on a Koopa Troopa, Goombella never actually tells you what their stats are; you have to look them up in the Tattle Log. Found by Cyber Guy.
- Here's a weird glitch that can ONLY be accessed by beating Gloomtail but NOT leaving his room. Here's how it goes: Beat up the somewhat-powerful dragon and get the Sun Stone. If your partner is Goombella, use her field mode ability. She will say Gloomtail is not in the room anymore (Probably because he "died". He actually fainted). That is not true, as Gloomtail's fainted body is still in the room. Weird, isn't it? Found by Pokefan.
- Late in the game, you'll get an Email from Pa-Patch (the big Bob-omb sailor). Among other things, he mentions something that Flavio says to him sometimes. He says that he tunes Flavio out. But Flavio isn't on the island with him! Flavio is in Podley's cola shop in Rogueport! Spotted by Double D.
- After Chapter 4, go to the Trouble Center and pick the trouble that has ??? as the person's name. Get the badge at Hooktail's Castle using Flurrie. Return to Rogueport and go to the roof left of the badge shop. On the roof, Ms. Mowz is waiting there. Talk to her and she'll join your party. Now here's where I found the bug. Make sure she's out in the field with Mario. Use a healing item (Mushroom, Honey Syrup, etc.) it'll show all your partners' names including Ms. Mowz. Now make sure a different partner is out in the field with you this time. Use a healing item and it'll show your partners' names. However, Ms. Mowz's name is replaced with Bobbery, who will later join Mario in chapter 5 at Keelhaul Key. Spotted by Luigi’s High Jumpin’ Second in Command.
- During the cutscene where the people from the different chapters are encouraging Mario, King K. is a Shady Koopa, instead of a K.P. Koopa! Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- After turning purple, I was messing around the pause screen. During that, I went to the "Mario" section. Mario was normal! But when I went back, he was purple again. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- Use Clock Out on a Bulky Bob-omb, and immobilize it. Clock Out's effect is to immobilize the enemy so it can't move. For some reason, it can still light up its fuse even though it's frozen in time. Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- When you're somewhere in the 90s floors in The Pit of 100 Trials and you encounter a Bob-ulk, have Gombella tattle on the Bob-ulk. She'll say it's the biggest Bob-omb she ever saw. She's wrong because a Bulky Bob-omb is a tad bigger than a Bob-ulk. Maybe the darkness of The Pit of 100 Trials made it hard for her to see... Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- In the X-Naut base in the rooms with the tiles, make sure Mario is standing on a safe one. Have Flurrie out. She floats, by the way. Push her to an unsafe one and she'll get shocked even though she's floating above it. Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- Make sure Vivian is out with Mario on the field. Push her off a ledge. Instead of falling, she'll stretch. Press R on the controller to make Mario and Vivian turn sideways. Vivian will go back to her regular length, but she'll float in midair. Spotted by Luigi's High Jumpin' Second in Command.
- In Chapter 6, go just outside the Riverside Station and Mario will be in slow-mo! Spotted by Geno.
- If you beat Gus before visiting Professor Frankly for the first time, his Tattle Log page will be in Frankly's garbage can. But you won't be able to pick it up after you're done talking to Frankly! You'll need to leave the area and come back before you can collect this precious (if by then useless) info.
- When you tattle on Rawk Hawk Goombella will say that he has a defense of one, when he doesn't! What's Goombella's problem? Spotted by Gerdy64.
- Hold up Bobbery right before entering a door. At the same moment that he is about to explode, go inside. You'll start to move inside, then he'll explode, sending you back outside into a blank and empty world! Thanks a lot, you stupid sailor! Now I'm in limbo! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- After beating Bonetail, stay in the room where his corpse is just laying there. Use Goombella's Tattle ability and she will say that this is the room where he used to be, but he's still in the room! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- In Chapter 6, when talking to Ghost T. on the Excess Express, he says that he can't hold physical items. But later, on the back of the bulletin board, he's written a message about his diary. How'd he do that if he can't use a pen? Spotted by Joshua.
- When Mario emerges from the toilet during Chapter 3, leave the bathroom and then check the door again. The voice inside will shout "OCCUPIED!" as usual, despite the fact that Mario and his partner just left the area and there was no one else in there! Spotted by supercomputer276.
- If you are on a ? Block or low platform and a Piranha Plant pops up just next to it, you'll occasionally get a First Strike jump instead of the Plant biting into you. Of course, it'll be a bittersweet strike unless you have the Spike Shield badge equipped. Spotted by Kody.
- This is quite weird. I was battling some Flower Fuzzies on Keelhaul Key, and one of them had a Volt Shroom. I had the Zap Tap badge on, and that Fuzzy used the item and jumped on me. It got shocked on impact, but I lost 3FP anyway! For some strange reason the Fuzzy was stuck on me and kept sucking FP until its own health ran out! I lost 18FP from that single attack! It may have been a glitch, or a one-time deal... Spotted by Kody.
- Goombella can use the Multibonk on you as you're fighting "Mario" at the end of Chapter 4, even if you haven't upgraded her. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- If you look at the back of the Excess Express when its going from the station in Rogueport and Riverside, the caboose doesn't have the stairs or window to the roof. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- When you first see the Smorgs form into one, Chef Shimi isn't moving. But when the battle starts, he starts moving. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- Look around for a Koopatrol. If you look closely at him, you can see that he has no feet! Spotted by Ryan "Blaze" Koopa.
- After the first visit to the 1000-Year Door, Goombella talks, but her mouth doesn't move. She could just be talking through a closed mouth for some reason. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.
- When fighting the final battle, after the boss turns invincible and the battle stops momentarily, there’s a brief second in between the battle and the cinema. If you’re lucky enough you can hit R at that exact moment. Your partner will turn paper thin and Mario will have a weird, running, facing backwards position. Mario then switches between paper thin and some kind of weird pose as your partner stays thin. It even stays through the rest of the battle and you go through the whole ending paper thin! And for Mario’s actions, like sitting or answering his mailbox SP, he just stands there paper thin! Spotted by Super Troopa.
- In Chapter 2 when Lord Crump activates the bomb, go and save. While saving, the timer stops but you can still hear it ticking.
Spotted by Luigi.
- During the Prologue, you go with Goombella and Frankly and find the Thousand-Year Door underneath Rogueport. You return to Frankly's and he has the map on the table. However if you look very closely, the locations of all the Stars are on the map! You haven't even discovered them! When he gives you the map back they are gone! Spotted by Erica Connery.

Super Mario Advance
- First enter Wart's room with Luigi. Try doing a charged-up jump up to where you fell from. Now go to the right, and you will be on top of the ceiling! You can walk around there freely and watch Wart launch bubbles at nobody. Spotted by Fly Guy.

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World
- Go to any Switch Palace and go to where the switch is. Run towards it and jump on it. But right before the text box appears, jump up so Mario is in the air and the switch is pressed. Mario's cap will be shown through the text box! (This was done as Fire Mario.) Spotted by The Fire Commander.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3
- As if the Fire Bros. weren't tough enough, this glitch can double or triple the amount of fireballs they spit at you. Pause and resume the game as they're spitting fire, and they'll spit out two more fireballs. Spotted by Bobby.
- In World 3 you can't enter battle with the Hammer Brothers when they are standing on the dock. Spotted by Jeff Koopa.
- In this remake of the game Nintendo changed the color of the Fire Flower to its red color. However, while playing the roulette game the Fire Flower there is blue, as seen in the original version. Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.

Super Mario Bros.
- If you hit the flagpole while having a Starman, the overworld theme will start to play instead of the level completed fanfare. Spotted by Jeff Koopa.
- You can hit under the block a firebar is in when small and be unharmed, but do it while big and you get shrunk. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In World 1-2, get to the warp pipe at the end of the underground part as Super/Firey Mario. Break two blocks so that one is touching the pipe. Now duck and jump backwards toward the block, being careful NOT to break it. If this is executed right, you will go through the wall into the warp zone. Jump into the first pipe you see and it will lead to the Minus World (-1). 1 is an endless water level! Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- This is probably ONE of THE funniest glitches in the entire game! But you have to be Fire Mario to do this. Okay, okay, here's how to do it: In any castle except 8-4, jump over "Bowser" and go toward the axe. Time your jump accordingly, so that you touch BOTH "Bowser" and the axe. Mario will flash, but will remain Super Mario. In the next world, get a Mushroom (?!) and Mario will become small (?!?). Now, get a Fire Flower (What the?). Mario will be firey AND small! If you fire a fireball, you will become Fire Mario, but only for the animation. Unfortunately, if you die, say bye-bye to tiny, fireballing Mario. Spotted by Pokefan.
- Next to the Konami Code, this is probably the most famous secret in any video game. Go to the second level of the first world. When you reach the pipe that leads above to the flag, it's time to get to work. Jump on top of the pipe and you should see a row of bricks. Break the one second from the right. LEAVE THE BRICK THAT IS TOUCHING THE PIPE! It is essential to this trick. For the next part, jump backwards (easiest
to do by jumping from a ducked position) towards the remaining brick, but you still don't want to break it. It will usually take a few tries, but once it works, you'll be "stuck" in the wall. When you are "stuck", it will pull you through to the warp zone. DO NOT ALLOW THE GAME TO SHOW THE ENTIRE WARP AREA! Doing such will make the pipes take you to worlds 2, 3, and 4 like usual. If you remember this, you can use the pipe on the left to get to the Minus World (World -1) or the pipe in the middle to get to world five (World 5-1). If you decide to go to the Minus World, you will have to infinitely repeat level -1 until you either get a game over or you reset the game. If you choose to go to world 5, the game will act as it normally would, except you go to a different world than you should. Spotted by The Dryest Bones.
- This only happens in the VC version of the game. In worlds 4 and 5, every now and then Mario will jump up and go through the block! But he won't go all the way through the block, he'll just be stuck inside the black with no way to get out! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.

Super Mario Bros. 2
- You can go in vases such as in world 2-2, even though snakes are inside and blocking them! Simply press down when they bob downward. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In the ending it says Birdo under Ostro and Ostro under Birdo. Spotted by Jeff Koopa.
- In world 1-1, when you get to the first vine, jump on top of the Hoopster. It will carry you off screen but you will not go to the next area, and when it goes back down, your character will be unable to jump until the Hoopster begins moving back up again. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In the ending of Super Mario Bros. 2, along with the incorrect names for two enemies, Hoopster, the ladybug we all love and know (sort of), has its name misspelled. Instead of Hoopster, it's spelled Hoopstar. The misspelling and the incorrect names weren't fixed until the release of Super Mario Advance! Found by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- Go through a regular door while holding a key, and when the door shuts, the upper part of the key will be sticking out of the upper part of the door! Spotted by SuperMario.
- During the credits, when Clawgrip appears, they mispelled his name as "Clawglip"! Spotted by Koopa know-it-all.
- In any level with a Pokey and a ledge, lure the Pokey off the edge. You (and the game) would expect that the Pokey will fall off too, but it floats in the air! Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- Go into Subspace and pick up a POW Block. When you automatically leave Subspace it will say WOP, which is POW backwards. Spotted by Banjo-Kazooie.

Super Mario Bros. 3
- In Bowser's Castle, when you fly over the wall before going through the door to Bowser, he appears, but he doesn't breathe fire at all. Spotted by Bobby.
- In the N-Spade matching game, Toad says "Flip over two cards and see if they match. Miss twice and your out!" (This was rewritten in later releases.) Spotted by Bobby.
- If you hit a P-Switch while in the sky and then jump down onto coins that were blocks, you'll sometimes end up standing on the coins instead of collecting them. Spotted by Martin.
- In the final fortress of the fifth world, there's some lava at the top that, if you jump into it, doesn't hurt you! Spotted by Dasina-chan.
- Notice the Rocky Wrench's Wrench. The middle bit is red while it's in his hand, but blue after he throws it. Spotted by Bam.
- In World 6, on any level with a Buster Beetle in it, when the Buster Beetle is headed for an Ice Block, go up to it. At the same time the Buster Beetle grabs the Ice Block, press B. You will pick up the Ice Block although the Buster Beetle is already holding it! It wasn't fixed in All-Stars because the programmers are too lazy to fix every glitch in the game! Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- As Tanooki Mario, go into a warp pipe and press B. If your timing's right, Mario will turn gray, but he hasn't turned into a statue! However, this glitch doesn't work in All-Stars... Spotted by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- In level 3-6 take the first ice block and carry it down on the donut lift it covered, then throw it at the brick in front of you, which has a Super Leaf. Take the Super Leaf and try to break the brick above you. You can't break it even though you're super! Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In level 7-8, go to the bonus room with the Hammer Suit while wearing a Tanooki suit (you probably still have the one from the first fortress of world seven). Turn into a statue and let the Hammer Suit come to you. You will be gray in the Hammer Suit, but stuck until time runs out. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In level 2-4, if you bounce off the Boomerang Brother and touch the goal, you'll still get a coin and 1,000 points since he's still on screen. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- If you run and fly to hit every brick containing a coin in the upper section of 2-4, you'll get all the coins, but the first block you hit won't give you the usual 100 points. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- You can't enter an upside down pipe while invincible unless you fly up in it. Best found in 5-7. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- If you touch a Muncher or Jelectro while Super Mario, you shrink quicker and flash more as opposed to other enemies. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In the giant Piranha Plant areas in world 7, pause when you get to the little pipes containing Munchers or at the end when you see them under you. They will still be moving even though the game is paused. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In the second giant Piranha Plant area of world seven, the Note Blocks' notes only move when the Munchers do. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- As Fiery or Hammer Mario (or Luigi) go to any level with wrap-around screen. Go to the edge of the screen and make sure that there's about half a block space beetwen it and you. Throw some fireballs or hammers off-screen. Surprisingly, they won't come out from the other side of the screen. Spotted by Jeff Koopa.
- If you run right off one of the spinning bolts found on airships, the instant you are hanging in midair, you can still jump! Found by Trollish Beastfighter.
- You can kill some of the flamethrowers on the airships by turning into a statue as Tanooki Mario and landing on the fire part. This is an odd enough way to defeat an enemy to begin with, never mind that it doesn't work on flamethrowers that point left. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- When you do a statue stomp on a stunned Bob-omb, although by function you are a statue (releasing down causes that transformation cloud to appear), Mario reverts back to a regular Tanooki Suit sprite that is holding the Bob-omb. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- In any level with coins, ? Blocks, and those things that spin around on the ends of platforms, pause when they are in sight. They will keep on moving for some reason although the game is paused and they should stop moving. Found by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- On a doomship, get to any ? block. The ? inside will not move like it does on all the other blocks. Found by TJVJ7@aol.com.
- You have to be Super Mario to do this. On the Grass Land airship, go to the ? Block nearby the rotating cannon. A Bullet Bill should be flying towards you. Jump up to hit the block right when the Bullet Bill is underneath. You should hit the BB, which will make you shrink. Then a Mushroom will pop out of the ? Block. Once the mushroom appears, though, the block will become entirely gray. Then once you grab the Mushroom, the block will disappear! Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- You thought all enemies were frozen when you died? Wrong! If you die around a Venus Fire Trap, it continues to look at you as you go up and then down! Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- In World-e (GBA version), make the person you're not using wear a Frog Suit. If you're using Mario then put it on Luigi, or vice versa. Then enter World-e's castle. Go all the way to the left and jump so Luigi jumps and gets somewhat behind. Continue going all the way to the right and then Luigi will die for no reason. The music won't be playing either. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- If you're wearing the Cape Feather while doing the World-e glitch above, it won't move even if you float down. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- Leaving the castle after the reserve character glitch will make the game think you failed a level and show you the menu for the levels. If you play a level this way, pressing B will end the level as if you were in the castle. Spotted by Crazy Koopa.

Super Mario Galaxy
- Go to Dusty Dune Galaxy and choose the level with the name Blasting Through the Sand. Then go through the level normally until you get to that giant planet thats disc-shaped, then go to the place where you ground pound the switch on that sand building. Go ahead and ground pound it, and then hold down Z and don't move. Wait until the timer runs out and the sand building comes back up; you'll be inside the switch! Don't worry, you're not stuck, just walk out of it. Spotted by Ultimate Yoshi.
- Go to the Bigmouth Galaxy, and get on the rim of the fish-shaped planet's mouth. Now go to the very right of it, where its mouth begins to open. Long jump to the north, and you should slide down the planet's side. Once you fall, wait a second and then Star Spin to the east. If done right, you will land in an invisible pool of water. Now you can go out of bounds! Spotted by Sgt. Fly.
- Go to any galaxy where there's a Magikoopa and where you can get a good amount of Star Bits (I recommend the Deep Dark Galaxy). Now, repeatedly shoot Star Bits at the Magikoopa, and walk Mario into the Magikoopa. Normally you'd take damage, but as long as you keep shooting it with Star Bits, you'll be inside it! Spotted by Sgt. Fly.
- Go to the Space Junk Galaxy in the level Kamella's Airship Attack. You will arrive on the yellow Starshroom. Now long jump off of it, aiming to hit one of the bottom corners of it. It's hard to do, but if you do it right, you'll bounce off it and be right inside the yellow Starshroom! Spotted by Sgt. Fly.
- Become Bee Mario and go behind a block. When Mario's silhouette appears, it looks like normal Mario, not Bee Mario! Spotted by Lord Shyguy.
- In the Bubble Breeze Galaxy, when you start out there will be two Toads on an island next to yours. Go to the yellow one on the island. Spin him and both of them will twirl around! If you spin the other one, only he will twirl! Spotted by Anti Dude.
- Go to the Good Egg Galaxy and choose the level King Kaliente’s Battle Fleet. Now get to the part where you land on the airship. Oonce you land on it, DON'T move, instead shoot at the areas where those two aliens come up. When you shoot there the Star Bit will bounce off thin air, but nothing is there! Spotted by Ultimate Yoshi.
- This works better in Co-Star mode. In the Flipswitch Galaxy, have Player 2 freeze one of the moving platforms while it's moving. You can still use the platform to hit the flipswitches, but make sure it's frozen when you hit the last switch. When the Power Star appears, make P2 release the platform. If you did it right, the platform should still be frozen in midair! Spotted by Twin the Fourth.

Super Mario Land
- In the first three kingdoms, pressing the button behind the boss defeats it. Instead of doing that, defeat the bosses by only using superballs or torpedoes. When you then press the button, which also opens the door at the end of the level, you'll still hear the exploding noise even though you already defeated the boss. Spotted by Paperlemmy.
- In any level with a waterfall, such as 3-2, pause the game with a waterfall onscreen. Even though the rest of the game is paused, the waterfalls still move! Spotted by Pokefan.
- When Mario comes out of a pipe, he appears at the top right corner of the screen for a split second! Spotted by Lord Shyguy.

Fly.

Super Mario RPG
- When you talk to the three Goombas in Monstro Town that try to sell you a Mushroom in the shop, the information box says "Recoers 30 HP". Spotted by Bobby.
- In the battle against Bundt in Marrymore, if you go to attack the chefs, the name Torte will appear for both chefs when, in fact, one of them is the Apprentice. Spotted by Extreme nintendo master.
- When you enter Bowser's Keep again (to find the seventh Star Piece and defeat Smithy), get into a battle that has a Tub-O-Troopa in it. When it is done charging up for its special attack, it will say "Heavy Troopa's ready to launch." What it should say is "Tub-O-Troopa's ready to launch." Spotted by Dark Knight.
- Go to Jinx's place in Monstro Town after you beat him. He and Jagger should be jumping. Jump on their heads. Sometimes, you'll end up jumping right into their bodies, which means you could be standing in the same place as that character. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- During Mack's attack on the Mushroom Kingdom, go in the castle. You should see Toad being chased. Beat the monsters, then follow Toad. Once you're in Toadstool's room, go up to the Mushroom person that says "I'm scared!" You'll notice that if you happen to be in his way, he'll go in the other direction. Try to stand halfway in his path. He'll keep going and walk right through Mario! Spotted by Double D.
- in Booster's Tower, there is a point where there is a Thwomp on a lever which you jump on to reach the next floor. Well, if you jump off of the lever as the Thwomp is in the air, then you can walk on the lever like it's a normal floor tile (though it blocks you if you try to walk on it from certain angles). If you walk behind the Thwomp, you can still see Mario's feet as if the Thwomp wasn't there. You can undo this by jumping onto the lever from a distance, or just by leaving the room. This does not work on the lever with the Bob-omb lower in the tower. Spotted by Bear.
- In Kero Sewers there is a room with a chest that can only be reached by going to Land's End and taking the cave route to the sewers. This is what was intended by the creators of course. There is a way to get up there on your first visit to the sewers. To get up there you'll need a lift. Just below the platform the chest is on is a Boo. If you battle the Boo and run without killing it, the Boo will become solid and you can jump onto the Boo and off onto the ledge. This also means you can enter a small part of Land's End without going through half the game. There is one of those Shy Aways you can battle, putting you against it, a Geckit, and a Ribbite. Though you'll likely get your butt whooped, it's fun to see. Spotted by crankymama5452.

Super Mario Strikers
- As we all know, Super Mario Strikers is a soccer game, and you can't use hands in soccer! Still, when you use DK's super strike, he uses his fists to slam the ball into the goal... What a cheater! Spotted by Denny W. Koopa.

Super Mario Sunshine
- Get right under a Shine Sprite, any Shine Sprite that you can get with a normal jump will work. Switch to the Squirt Nozzle and squirt water out. While holding R down all the way, press A. Doing so will make you do a FLUDD-aided backflip. When Mario does his victory dance, FLUDD will still be attempting to squirt water out, and the nozzle will even go through his head near the end. Spotted by MarioFanaticXV.
- In Corona Mountain, go to the boat. Crash into any obstacle, but don't attempt to escape, jump, or otherwise move. Instead of sinking into the lava, Mario will sit on it as he faints, suspended by the lava. Spotted by MarioFanaticXV.
- In the pinball sublevel, if you hit one of the pins above the center box at a right angle, Mario gets stuck on it and just sits there continually making the noise he does when he hits something and producing pink and yellow stars. Spotted by Green Yoshi.
- Any time you see a Pianta inside a red cannon, such as in Pinna Park, try jumping on top of him until you are sure you won't fall off. Try ground pounding on the Pianta. You will fall right through onto a platform beneath it. This allows you to see how that type of character is programed. You should see something like a tent above you if you use the C-Stick, and where the arms are, you'll see how they are "stabbed" inside the figure. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- Near Corona Mountain, there are two small pond things behind the Shine Gate. Go to the one closest to the Shine Gate, then get right in front of the gate that stops you from falling into the bay. Keep holding forward and swim down with B. One of three things will happen. The first thing is that you'll fall underground, with the manholes above you. The second possibility is that you will fall onto the underwater floor and be able to walk there without having to worry about air. The third possibility (the weirdest of them all) is that you will fall down the waterfall and hit the floor near the harbor. If that happens, you should jump onto the tiled floor and then you should be able to walk underwater and on the beach floor without having to worry about air. If you want to get out, jump high or go onto land. Spotted by wackowendy429.
- In the one after Mario is released from jail and is about to head out and clean the goopy mess, when one of the Pianta policemen says "Go straight that way, you can't miss the mess, pal," look behind him; the background is frozen. One way you can tell is that you can see a green bird in the air behind him, and it's not moving at all, just frozen in the air. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- In Bianco Hills, before you let a Poink grab onto your FLUDD spray nozzle, waste all your water on something, and don't stop until your tank in completely empty. Then, run over to the Poinks, and let them grab onto you. Once they're on you're nozzle, start holding in the R button. Even when your tank is empty, you can still fill the Poinks up with water. And just to make sure that's not air you're filling it up with, let go of the R button once the Poink is filled; you will see water splatter around. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- Spray alot of water out of FLUDD, not all, just a lot. Leave just a little bit at the bottom of your tank. Then, press the Y button and aim your FLUDD tank straight up to where you can't look up any farther. Then spray all the remaining water out of FLUDD's tank while in the same position. After FLUDD's tank is empty, without pressing any other button, press the Y button to exit close-up view. Now, look at Mario; his head appears to be stuck staring up, as is FLUDD's spray nozzle. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- Have Mario jump onto one of the huge mirrors in Gelato Beach. Then, once you get up there, press the Y button to go into close-up view. Now look at Mario at an angle where you can see FLUDD in the mirror as well. Look and you'll see that FLUDD's nozzle is missing. The water part is there, but not the top nozzle. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- Whenever you're on Yoshi, press and hold the R button to make Yoshi spray juice. Keep a close eye on the juice that appears on the ground. Now, while you're holding the R button, press the X button to jump off Yoshi. While you do all this, don't look away from the juice that appears on the ground. When you jump off Yoshi, his juice automatically changes to water. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- In the Watermelon Festival Episode of Gelato Beach, if you take the large watermelon that's set behind the Sand Cabana and take it to the guy at the Surf Cabana, when he examines it, he mentions about the watermelon not being any bigger than the ones displayed by the two Piantas and Noki. But if you compare them you can clearly tell that this one is bigger. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- In Delfino Plaza, try climbing onto the windowsills. If you can, try walking in. Sometimes, you'll fall in. You'll see Mario surrounded by navy blue and he'll faint as if he were underwater. Spotted by Shadow Mario.
- In Sirena Beach, Shadow Mario doesn't spread any goop, yet he goes through all the same motions. Spotted by Trollish Beastfighter.
- In the last video after you defeat Bowser, when Mario watches FLUDD as his power goes out, look in the background and you'll see Pinna Park's Ferris wheel. Instead of being blue, the Ferris wheel is red. Spotted by Z-Kidd 500.
- Get any Yoshi and go to where any fruit will reappear after it is eaten or destoyed. eat it, then make Yoshis tongue come out. Before it goes back in, jump off the Yoshi. The Yoshi will be frozen in a
four legs on the ground position, but normally he will be standing on two legs. Also, he will eat fruit by himself. When stuck in this position, wait for the fruit to reappear. If you keep watching the Yoshi, you will see it eat the fruit by itself! This is one way to make sure the Yoshi's juice will never empty, since the fruit will reappear in the same place. Also, once your Yoshi is stuck in the position mentioned above, use the Y button to look up, but also keep the Yoshi's head on screen. The Yoshi's head will mimick yours, whether you look up or side to side! Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- Get a Yoshi in Sirena Beach, and go back to the pineapple room. Go to the door in that room. Make Yoshi squirt juice at the door, then jump off and press B in midair. Mario will get stuck inside the door, and it will appear like there is nothing you can do. Jumping doesn't work, and neither does anything else. Pause the game. When you unpause, Mario will be back inside the room, but when you get to the main lobby, the Yoshi apparently has fallen through the floor, since he is right by one of the pools of water. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- Get Mario covered in goop and then enter a cutscene. The goop will have disappeared. Spotted by Green Yoshi.
- If you have the dive helmet and Mario wipes off his sweat, his hand goes though the helmet. Spotted by goombuster.
- In Noki Bay, go to the last level, where the water is clear. Get in the Tanooki's boat and use FLUDD to push your boat inside the waterfall. Use Y to use Mario's view. If you look up, you'll see that the waterfall is hallow  and you can see the hole where the water comes out from the cliff. Spotted by K. K. Koopa.
- In Episode One of Serena Beach, beat the Manta Storm, then as you run for the Shine Sprite, wet slide to the fountain (from the ocean to the fountain works best.) As you approach the fountain, jump. If Mario jumps into the edge where the fountain wall side meets the top, Mario will fall through the fountain (and the level, for that matter) into a strange world, where all you can see is like looking at Mario from through a wall. Mario will get hurt as long as he touches the floor. Spotted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.
- In Bianco Hills, on any level, sort of straddle in between the river and the land in town. If you can get right on the edge where the wall meets the top, Mario will fall through the level, probably dying. Spotted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.
- In Pianta Village, in the last level with the eight red coins and the Fluff Festival, get a Rocket Nozzle and launch yourself to the clouds. At the apex when you've stopped blasting and started falling, try to maneuver Mario so that as he falls he passes the side of the furthest cloud to the left. Yes, this is really hard, but if you manage to do so, Mario will fall through the cloud into that negative place again, this one a bottomless pit. Also, if you try rocketing in this world, you can continue to rocket and refill, even though you don't hit the ground. Spotted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.
- In any slide, especailly a wet slide, if you swap to the Hover Nozzle and jump out of the slide while holding down the hover button, Mario will not hover, though the water will come out. Spotted by Miles "Thumbs" Power.
- In the episode where you have to put the large Chain Chomp in the spring, if you do not get out before the Chain Chomp falls in, or you are in the spa, then you will fall through to your doom! Spotted by Denny W. Koopa.
- When you go to Delfino Plaza when it's totally flooded, find the kid raccoon (I think he should be right on top of the blue coin exchange hut with his dad) and talk to him. Notice that the sound he makes sounds like how the Piantas talk. Spotted by Antwan.
- In the level that looks like a pinball machine, adjust your camera so you'll be above Mario's head. Fall off the course through the middle of the pinball machine. If done right, you notice Mario is "falling to his doom in place". You can see he's only a few feet below the pinball machine. If it doesn't work from that camera angle, try another camera angle. Spotted by Antwan.
- In Pinna Park, Episode 8, go to the Pianta father and son. Talk to the dad. He seems to have the voice of a Noki! Spotted by Blue Virus.
- When Shadow Mario has the Yoshi egg, once you defeat him and he is sprawling on the ground, the Yoshi egg will float in midair! The same thing happens when he has the Rocket and Turbo Nozzles. Spotted by MJ.
- Once you get the second Shine in Sirena Beach, the nearby enemy will disappear. Spotted by MJ.
- When Delfino Plaza is flooded, there will be logs floating around. Have Mario swim under one of the logs and press A. Mario will fall to the ground and can walk under the water, just like on land. Spotted by Koopiana Jones.
- When using the "Walking Underwater" trick, go to the far west coast of the Plaza, past the island. If you go all the way to the boundaries of the level, you will be able to walk through an underwater hill. Spotted by Koopiana Jones.
- Go to Ricco Harbor and choose "The Caged Shine Sprite". Go all the way to where Gooper Blooper used to be and talk to the Pianta nearby. He won't make any noise when he talks to you, as opposed to normal Piantas! Found by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In Ricco Harbor, Mario can walk through chains, and the shovels just laying near Ricco Tower. Found by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- After Mario defeats the nearest Blooper on the catwalk above the red grill platform near the fountain, if you return, a square peice of black goo will appear for no reason at the catwalk's intersection. You can remove it with water, but it is so small that Mario cannot slip in it. It really has no reason for being there, since the normal Blooper's goo does not remain once it hits something! Found by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- When in an underground tunnel (that you get into via manhole) if you spray water, the goop above you will disappear as if you were above ground! Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- If you do "The Shell's Secret" the second time with FLUDD, when you are going to the rotating logs, there is a platform that only can be reached with a wall kick and using the hover. You pass through it if you do the hover right in the middle of the edge. Spotted by Princess Daisy.
- When hatless Mario is talking to someone, his health will still decrease! When he has none left, Mario will fall over dead, but the game will not end, because you are still talking! It's really funny to look at, since the game will not show a "Too Bad" sign until after the other person stops talking... even though Mario is already dead! Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In Pinna Park's episode: The Roller Coaster's Balloons, go to the slope by the tree shaped like a Pianta. You will see a small Pianta and his dad looking up at the rollar coaster. If you talk to the dad Pianta, he will talk in a Noki's voice! Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- In Delfino Square, get a Yoshi, then get the Pianta on the roof to throw you. Due to the added mass, you will smash through the grate, but then go through the wall and into the water beyond! Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- After you beat Mecha-Bowser, you know how Bowser Jr. reveals himself when he starts talking? Well, when he says "You... You pest! Stop following us!" his mouth doesn't move when he says "Stop following us!" Found by SuperMario.
- When riding Yoshi, ground pound underground into the pipe system and then jump back out. When you leave the pipe, the lid won't move like it would when Mario is not on a Yoshi. Spotted by Toadia.
- When Peach gets kidnapped by Shadow Mario and you have to chase and spray him down, if you get him to let go of the princess around the marketplace he'll start doing wall jumps towards the center of town until you can't see him anymore, but if you run there first and switch to second person view for a few seconds, he'll magically appear out of thin air! Spotted by Shady Parakoopa.
- Get Yoshi to eat a fruit. Just before it goes in his mouth, get off Yoshi. If this is done at the right time the fruit will stay in midair. Jump back on Yoshi and walk away from the fruit, then make him eat. If done correctly the fruit will just appear on his tongue and he will eat it. Spotted by Popple Koopa.
- Get on any Yoshi, press and hold R to spray juice, and jump. Keep holding both R and A, and while standing, the Yoshi will have its mouth open, as if it's spraying juice. Hold down A and R again and jump off the Yoshi. Its shell will be floating in midair! It looks really weird. Spotted by Parakoopa.
- Go to the area in Delfino Plaza where the Piantas are selling fruit. Pick up any fruit and throw it at the back wall. It will bounce through the straw awning, immediately stop, and roll off of it. Spotted by Parakoopa.
- Again go to the fruit market. Jump on the Pianta selling bananas and let Mario continually bounce on her head. If you bounce long enough, your controller's rumble feature will eventually turn off. Then, to test it, try jumping and pressing B near a wall to jump at it. There will be no rumble. After that, the only way to “turn on” your rumble is to jump on the Pianta's head again. It's like an in-game rumble switch, but only for Delfino Plaza. It probably works on other areas of the island, too. Spotted by Parakoopa.
- If you go to any tree, jump near it with the normal nozzle, and press R you will zip onto the tree like a magnet instead of spraying water. Spotted by Parakoopa.
- Jump onto any Pianta's head and again keep bouncing. Mario's head will get flattened each time he bounces! Spotted by Parakoopa.
- When you get Yoshi press R to make him squirt. While he's squirting press A to make him jump. You'll still hear him squirting but juice won't come out of his mouth! Spotted by Mario Koopa.
- When you get Yoshi press R to make him squirt. While he's squirting press X to jump off of him. He'll still be in the squirting posistion but juice will no longer be coming out of his mouth! Also his saddle will start floating! Weird O_o... Spotted by Mario Koopa.
- I did this in Pianta Village, but you could do this in Gelato Beach and Bianco Hills too. Destroy a beehive and have the bees follow you. Run to a person and talk to him/her, but make sure the bees are still following you. You won't get damaged while you're talking to the person, but you'll get pushed around by the bees. Spotted by Luigi’s High Jumpin’ Second in Command.
- When the boathouse is under the black goop, make a trail on the dock so a Pianta sinks in it. Then go in the water under the dock, and you'll see him clean and unmoving! Spotted by Crazy Koopa.
- In Gelato Beach when you race II Piantissimo, beat him and watch the cutscene of the Shine Sprite appear. The Piantas and Nokis that were watching the race have disappeared. Spotted by Koopa Girl.
- When you go to Gelato Beach stand on the mirrors where you went to get the Tilt! Slam! Bam! Shine Sprite. Go into Mario Mode (Y button) and look at the mirror and see your reflection. Make sure that F.L.U.D.D. is active, if not just squirt one time. If you look closely, F.L.U.D.D. will appear without his head! Spotted by Zoshi.
- This is really risky, and you should only try it when you have lives to spare. Go to Ricco Harbor, and enter Episode 2: Blooper Surfing. After going to Blooper Daddy, hop onto one of the Bloopers. If you know from experience, when you smash into something really hard with a Blooper, the Blooper will disappear and you'll lose a life. Knowing that, go to the entrance to the tunnel that takes you to the obstacle course. Here you'll need some precise timing. Jump up with the Blooper, and hit the roof in the tunnel entrance. You'll lose the Blooper. Mario will "faint", but you'll still enter the obstacle course, and you don't lose a life! Spotted by Zoshi.
- This one is a little different from the one above. Enter the same episode, and enter the obstacle course. Finish the course in less than 40 seconds... BUT WAIT! Right before you cross the finish line, jump up! There will be the cutscene where the Shine Sprite appears. When the scene is over, Mario will be in the air without the Blooper! How'd he disappear? In other, weirder cases... Mario appears standing on the ground, even though he jumped! Spotted by Zoshi.
- This is my favorite. Go to episode 2 (again) and enter the obstacle course. Finish in OVER 45 seconds, and jump. Since you lost, the cutscene won't happen, but try to land on the Pianta's head when falling. When you are near him, he starts talking. These are the different results that have happened to me:
1. Mario and the Blooper stay frozen in the air
2. The Blooper disappears and Mario jumps once, falls, goes through the Pianta, and without moving slides back, and then he looks up at the Pianta
3. Mario and the Blooper go through him even though he is talking
... Spotted by Zoshi.
- On the main island, get Yoshi, then go to the fountain spitting water. Now turn right of it and walk up to the lady with the basket. (the one in front of the building). Now walk back a little bit, far enough for a double jump. Now line yourself up with the lady's left elbow. Now run and jump straight into the bottom part of the roof. You'll fall through and now be able to walk underwater! I don't know if this can help you get to that island with the yellow stuff. Spotted by Nintenbro0.
- After fighting Petey and beating him, when he turns into goop and dissolves, quickly press Z. You will hear the sounds of him hardening and melting, but when you press Z again he'll turn into goop again but without the noise! Spotted by larry.
- Go into the ladies' room in the hotel and go into the farthest toilet. Jump around and hover high enough and you'll make it into a room on the second floor. Spotted by P.T. Piranha.

Super Mario World
- If you complete a castle using Luigi, the cinematic involving the destruction of the castle, when done, will say "Mario" defeated whoever, though it should say Luigi. The same thing happens when Bowser is defeated. Spotted by Dark Boo.
- In the text after you defeat Iggy Koopa on Yoshi's Island, the last sentence says "Now, they travel together to Donut Land" when the area is actually called Donut Plains. Spotted by Green Yoshi.
- If you run at a berry while on Yoshi and press the Y button right before you run into it, you will eat two berries instead of one. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- If you get two portable items and put them inside each other and run at them while holding Y, you may pick them both up. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- If you go through a pipe while holding a gray P-Switch, when you come out again it will act as a blue one does. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- Bring a cape to Chocolate Island 5. Now, fly up near the beginning and get the gray P-Switch off the clouds, and then go down to where the blue P-Switch is. Now do the trick where you can carry them both at once. While carrying them, go to where the turn block with the Yoshi is. Throw the P-Switches up at the block. You will notice that Yoshi grows faster than usual. Now, jump on the Yoshi and ride him a little bit away from where he sprouted. Now, jump back on top of the place he spawned, and you'll hear another Yoshi sound! Now, do the glitch again, but this time instead of jumping on the place where the invisible Yoshi was, hit the P-Switch and get the visible Yoshi to fall into the abyss. The invisible Yoshi has now appeared and has become rideable! Although it is just a normal Yoshi now. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- In Chocolate Island 4, try repeatedly jumping at the corner in the slanted ceiling to the left at the beginning of the level. Sometimes Mario will die. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- In Funky, have a Yoshi. Now, stand next to a green berry. A little after the time drops below 100 seconds, eat it. When the time went below 100 seconds, the music sped up. But! When it went below 100 seconds the second time, it got even faster! The music starts sounding ridiculous if you can eat every green berry in the level right before the time limit drops below 100, because the song will be going really fast. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- To get a Lakitu's cloud to last forever, shoot the Lakitu with a fireball and grab the coin. The cloud never poofs. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- To duplicate items, you can grab an item and take it through a pipe and return to where you got it, to find that you can get another one. You could also do the grab two items trick and throw the items up at a block containing something. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- In Chocolate Island 3, have a Yoshi and a cape, then get all the way to the end of the level. When you are there, there should be a turn block. Now for the tricky part: Jump off the turn block towards the goal post (you should be a bit southwest of it as of yet), then kick off Yoshi. You must NOT land on the platform, rather go through the goal post without hitting the platform. Then it does the little tune and the score tally. You better not have a history of seizures, because the screen will flash all different colors as the spotlight closes on Mario! And, when you get back to the overworld, well, you can see for yourself. Spotted by Dark Ludwig.
- In Star World 1, when you spin jump through the yellow blocks, sometimes Mario will squeeze through the wall or bricks and die. Spotted by King Zing.
 - Be small while on a Yoshi. If you touch a red Wiggler, the side of a Muncher, or the flames from a Dino Torch, you instantly die ON YOSHI instead of Yoshi running off and Mario becoming invincible. Spotted by Chocolate Thunder.
- In "The Impossible Maze?" if you make your way to the bottom right and jump towards the pipe's ceiling, sometimes you will go through the wall  and get trapped in the space between the paths, and there is no way out. Spotted by Fwipp Deathspeeder.
- During the credits, you read "Jumping Pirhana Plant", when the correct spelling is "Piranha"! Spotted by Koopa know-it-all.
- Take a Yoshi to Yoshi's house. Stand on the info block and aim for the fruit on the far left corner of the tree. Once you extend Yoshi's tongue, pull back once it is attached and aim for the fruit below it while doing so. If done correctly, the fruit below the corner one will move down to where you carried the tip of the tongue, stopping its animation. Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- Yoshi can pass through info blocks. Just stand on one with a Yoshi, jump, and then hitch off your Yoshi in midair. Yoshi should pass through the block, but you won't! This only works on info blocks, too. Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- Once you start a new game, you can move or jump for a split second before the story is displayed. Once the story starts, however, you can't move. In fact, it freezes you in a spot until the music is over and it shows the world map. Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- In Vanilla Dome 2 (the water stage) you can get points for grabbing a Feather out of your reserve box! Try this by taking two Ppwer-ups (Fire FLower and Feather) and transforming back and forth in between the two. This'll only work in this stage, too! Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- When you ride on a Yoshi and get hit, normally Yoshi would just run away. But try doing this and see if I'm wrong! While riding Yoshi, run (not walk) towards a Wiggler. Right before you hit it, press Y again to extend Yoshi's tongue. If done right, Yoshi will pass through the Wiggler and you will be hit! Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- When you’re wearing a cape in a level with tons of blocks, spinning repeatedly and moving at the same will seemingly "teleport" you from the spot you were to about ten units down (considering that the blocks are units). However, by doing this in a level with not enough room to move down, you'll hit through the ground and lose a life, as if you got hit by an enemy! Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- In Forest of Illusions 1, grab the P Balloon and float to the goal. You'll soon come across a A.F.H.Brother. If you knock it off without being hit, you can perform this next act by pressing towards it. This allows you to skip through pixels. Once you see the goal, part of the ground is pressed in by a unit! Spotted by Yoshi_Lover.
- If you fall down a pit and press START at the exact time that you die, the world's music will keep playing (with no death song) and then you'll die. Spotted by The Dryest Bones.
- Go to Star World 1 on a Yoshi. Spin jump off, then land back on top of Yoshi without breaking the spin jump, and you should be breaking bricks on top of Yoshi! This is a very easy bug to do, and helps if you dont want to abandon Yoshi. Spotted by Dry_Bonerangs.
- In the Forest of Illusion, the level with the P Balloon, when I was Cape Mario and passed through the goal, as usual, a Cape Feather came down to me in the reserve, but instead, it went on Mario's cape, and I didn't get it until Mario gave the "Course Clear" sign. This happened to me 2 times total. Spotted by Cornpie.
- Go to Yoshi's Island 3 with a Yoshi. Before the middle goalposts, past the orange pipe, all the way under the first coin from the left, stick out Yoshi's tongue. Yoshi will make a sound as if he were hitting a block! Spotted by Luigiluvr.
- When Mario defeats Iggy in the castle number 1, the cutscene says "Together, they now travel to Donut Land", when the real name of the world is Donut PLAINS. Spotted by Koopa know-it-all.
- In the instruction booklet, the name of the enemy Dino-Torch is written as Mini-Rhino. Spotted by Koopa know-it-all.
- Go to any water level with a P-Button, and carry it to the finish line
